References for Splash Point Photo Studio

I had my first experience of shooting at Russ's excellent studio recently. I'd tried a couple of times previously, to book onto model days. But I can see now why I was beaten to it in the past.

So many options of where to work. You could easily spend days there and still not manage to shoot in all of the various places within the building.

Russ is a fantastic host. Who helped throughout the shoot, with lighting, sorting out the various areas in which we shot and providing very helpful advice/experience.

Have had Splash point on the wish list for a bit and managed to sort a shoot whilst I was in Wales with the day job

Well worth the travel time. A great studio with loads of different sets. Russ is a great host.

Three hours was no where near enough time to fully utilise all the different set ups

Have already booked a second shoot

I had another great shoot at Splash Point Photo Studio, this time using the backdrops in the studio as well as the bedroom for some boudoir and the pool. Russ is always very warm and welcoming and on hand to make sure we get the shots we want. The studio is very well equipt and so versatile and I'm always happy for a booking here! I had a lovely time in the studio! Russ has done so much for me when organising the studio day, he's done such a fantastic job with the flyers and advertising. Also gave me so much knowledge with studio days and what to expect. Has a fantastic communication and gives constant updates with what's happening.

The studio is great to shoot with and has a lot to offer for inspiring creative minds. There's so many places that you can take photos from. Russ has been an amazing assistant with the photographers that came, as he knows what he's doing. He managed to keep up with aiming the key light on my face (I move a lot 😂).

During the shoot, he's been great at giving directions. He's very much on point with what he wants for the shoot. The results I've seen are all astounding! It was lovely shooting in the studio and working with Russ.

Thank you for keeping me well fed 😁 10/10 would recommend!

A Different View

Another memorable shoot at Splash Point Photo Studio, thanks to Russ for his assistance enabling us to capture some unique images.

If you haven't shot at Splash Point do book some studio time, this time of year models deserve to be treated to an indoor shoot at this time of year.

Thanks also go to Amy5 our first shoot together and I'm sure there's more to come.

I got there to studio and russ made me a nice hot drink , then when the photographer came russ was really helpful too

I felt very comfortable in the environment and could change in adequate place. I was made welcome and the place itself is stunning , I did my shoot and I will definitely explore other areas next time too, definitely recommend to new or professional models and russ is an excellent host.

I absolutely love splashpoint studios! I could never tire of visiting. Russ is so lovely I find it super easy to get along with him. No airs and graces from me I’m too comfortable here 😂

I had 3 shoots starting at 11am and finishing at 8pm Russ was a fantastic host throughout the day, making a belting cuppa and even cooking me some food on my break. Really appreciate all Russ did yesterday. I’m looking at having another studio day here in January as I know a few people are very Eager to work with me here and it’s hardly surprising why. The most magical Christmas tree and decorations are up too at the moment until the new year, the decorations alone are worth a trip if you’re looking for that magical Christmas shoot.

Highest recommendations from myself.

This was my forth trip to Splashpoint this year, but only my third to do a shoot. Every time i come here, the hospitality i receive from Russ and his mum and dad are first class. I always feel so welcomed when i go there.

Russ as done a fantastic job again, with the Christmas tree and decorations, but i decided not to use them this year, I will do next year promise.

I did promise the model Miss Red, that we would use the pool, and that was the right decision, as it was the only place that i haven't shot her until now.

my first time at this place ... just wow excellent place to get some fantastic shots , Russ was a great host and I would 100% recommend this place I will be back in the near future with some ideas now ive seen the great set up

My 2nd time at Splashpoint & it definitely will not be my last. We hired the studio for 4 hours & got absolutely nowhere near shooting all the different possibilities. First of all I have to give an extra special shout out to Russ as he had taken hours & hours turning the house into a Christmas wonderland with a massive fully decorated Xmas Tree in the hall & okay he had not too subtly placed an S P P decoration in there but think he is entitled to do that it was, is magnificent. The tree was not the only decoration, the whole hallway had been decorated & this made for an extra special backdrop for our model Miss Red.

There are literally loads & loads of different shooting opportunities, possibilities throughout the house & Russ is on hand at all times to help with lighting & he obviously knows what works best where. Having said that he also leaves you alone to get on with your shoot once you are happy with everything.

One of the best studios around just a pity it is so far away.

Highly Recomended. As Arnie said I'll be back.

This was my third time working at Russ's studio. Russ is great to work with and is so chilled and relaxed.

We worked through so many shots for his client, in which some were very challenging, as I had to turn into a super hero and jump everywhere :)

I really enjoy working at this studio and I highly recommend him and his fantastic studio too!

I had a 6 hour shoot with Russ for a client of his. The whole day went so fast. Russ is laid back, friendly and easy to work with making the shoot really fun. He’s also extremely talented and professional. Pre communication was easy, I knew what I needed for the day which makes my life easier being organised. The studio is one of my favourite places to visit, it’s everything you could dream of and more! Stunning rooms even the hallway has endless possibilities then of course the studio itself has so much life in there that the hours pass by before you know it. This is my first shoot with Russ but my 3rd visit and I’ve yet to get round to using the pool. There are just endless possibilities for shoots, you just want to go back again and again!

Highest recommendation from me. I can’t wait to come back soon. Thanks Russ. 😃

The pre shoot communication was excellent.

The studio is very equipped with everything you will need for a shoot.

Can highly recommend the studio to any level of photographer.

I went for the first time to Splash Point studio for a group shoot. The location is much bigger that what it sounds like!

Beautiful location by the sea with many and many possibilities. It has a studio with different backgrounds and lighting, lots of props and access to the house and an indoor pool.

This place is very versatile and you can spend a full day without getting bored.

Bonus: it’s closed to the train station.

Twisted Edge Photography

Had a great multi-model and multi-photographer Twisted Edge day at Splash Point and was that good, already planning on a return trip.

So much choice available at the venue, Russ on hand if needed, and had the best of Welsh weather for the beach too.

If you haven’t been, wholly recommend.

Gothic Image

Occasionally something comes along that takes you completely by surprise, and Splash Point is definitely one of those things.

On the outside, a perfectly normal seaside bungalow - but on the inside it couldn't be more different. An extensive range of rooms in different styles with a huge range of props. There's an outside shooting area too, an indoor swimming pool and even (wait for it) a conventional studio space with curve and backdrops. Russ couldn't be more helpful and accommodating, with copious supplies of tea and coffee on hand.

A real gem of a studio, this definitely won't be my last visit. Absolutely recommended!

Had an amazing shoot yesterday he is a very talented photographer with a lot of space in his home to create any amazing photos. He has a warm present about him and made me feel comfortable his talent and the way he expresses his photos are very compelling. I would highly recommend him
