I had my first studio day at Splash Point, and what a day it was!

Russ has such an amazing space with a huge range of shooting locations. The studio itself is extremely well equipped and is such a cool space with tons of exciting sets to use. Then the house has endless shooting opportunities - such a nice vibe. I'd need to come back again to make use of everything!

I was well looked after during my stay, as were the photographers who booked on - Russ was always on hand to assist with lighting setups and anything else that needed tweaking.

It was a shame we didn't manage to sell out the day, but luckily one of the photographers came back to fill the last slot, so it was a success in the end :D

I would love to come back in the future, there's so much more to explore! If you get the chance to work at Splash Point, jump at it, I don't think anyone could get bored working there.

Had my first studio day at Splash Point Studio on Saturday. I had never been there before or met Russ until the day, he was lovely and welcoming, showed me around and let me get comfortable.

Russ has a great studio, lots of different aspects, and the attached house has some lovely features including a pool! I didn't shoot in the pool but it looked great and hopefully will one day!

As my first ever studio day it was amazing, and I would recommend to any model to plan to go there!

Had the pleasure of spending a few hours in Russ' studio on one of his arranged shoot days. What a brilliant place. The studio itself is very well equipped with plenty of lighting options and modifiers. We then moved into the grand hallway for some elegance and in the end we totally lost track of time and I could have easily spent 8 hours there and not just the 4 we had booked.

From the friendly welcome by him and his family, the supply of coffee and general friendliness I look forward to being able to use this space again in the future. There is literally not enough that they can do for you when you shoot there.

Another amazing shoot at Splash Point.

This time I decided to venture to areas away from the main studio space, shooting in the bedroom, the very grand hallway and the pool.

As ever, Russ was to hand, assisting with setting up spaces and the lighting. It is a huge positive knowing there is somebody there who is so willing and eager to help you to get the best possible images from a shoot.

This isn't my first time at Splash Point and it still remains my number one preference for studio shoots, even though it is a two hour drive from home!

When its sunny outside and you have two beautiful models to shoot with in a studio how fantastic it was the studio is Russ' Splashpoint!. My second visit here and allowed much more time in order to use so many more of the sets and facilities available. Its a gem of the highest order and topped off with the superb assistance from Russ offering lighting and insight into the myriad of opportunities Splashpoint offers.

Cannot recommend highly enough and hope to return very soon

I just finished my first and fantastic studio day! Wow! I'm really impressed with the quality of the space! The studio is so spacious and has some amazing sets, full of necessary equipment and lights. Also, Russ is an amazing host and super friendly. He picked me up from the train station and throughout the day made sure I and all photographers were okay and had plenty of teas. Russ was there to help with lighting and equipment all day and was always happy to help.

I enjoyed my studio day and I hope to return at some point soon to do another one.

My 2nd shoot at Splash point, and it will not be my last. Russ is so friendly and on the ball, helping with lighting or anything that you need, tea and coffee on tap. I will have to use the pool at some time. Best studio goin...... 1000% recommend

Had a photoshoot with Pippa arranged by Russ the proprietor. Interesting location, right on the seafront and a Tardis of a bungalow to shoot in besides the studio. Russ provided help with lighting and was always there for advice or suggestions. My second visit and despite the distance to travel, won't be my last.

I've been waiting for a long time for the right client shoot to take to Splash Point.

And I'm absolutely delighted. What a fantastic studio and house to shoot in.

Russ is incredibly welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed and keeping the coffee and tea flowing. He is an absolute gentleman.

We got through a two-day commercial product listing and brand image shoot in the studio and in the house respectively. The studio is so well-equipped, with great features. The house also provides and super elegant, classy setting perfect for the branding my client was after.

My client was so pleased with my suggestion of shooting at Splash Point.

We will be back again, I'm sure.

Omg, what a studio, Splash point is. It is an Aladdin’s cave, of locations to shoot and props to use. There are Loads of lighting and modifiers, to help you get the right shot. Russ, is a fantastic host, helping you with rigging up the lighting, to giving you pointers, he is also very discreet, but always there on hand if you need him. Russ is also very funny and he makes excellent coffee.

I have already booked myself onto another studio day, and I cannot wait. If you have never been. Get yourself down there. You will not regret it, I promise you. For studio and host, I will give it 500%

The studio is well-equipped, with both a white infinity cove and another wall with a variety of different colours for backgrounds - plus a neon wall! There is also a good selection of lights and modifiers: so the studio is itself is ideal for a wide range of photo styles. However, what really sets Splash Point Studio apart is the wide range of non-studio opportunities, from outside spots to separate lounge, dining room, open areas and a boudoir. I have been there twice and the time runs out long before the possibilities. I would definitely recommend Splash Point Studio. Russ, the owner, also runs a series of studio days with experienced models, so all the preparatory work is done for you.

This is a amazing studio. As the last time here in April I did not have time to shoot in the amazing hallway and staircase, I decided to start there and also used the front room, and bay window with natural light. I made up for not using these areas the last time and spent the whole shoot in this part of the house doing several outfit changes. As it was a cold windy day outside the house was lovely and warm.

When you pull up outside this place you would never expect to walk into such an amazing entrance hall. This was my 3 visit here and will not be the last.

Wow what a studio!

This is such a cool place to shoot, lots of interesting area's and virtually unlimited props that Russ very kindly let us use! The main studio is very well equipped and the neon light wall is quite unique! And did I mention how huge this place is!

We booked 5hrs and it wasn't nearly enough time, there's just so many great photo opportunities.

Russ is a great host, very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this studio and I will definitely be returning soon.

Having first shot here back in the pre-Covid days of 2019 when me and a fellow photographer spent three hours shooting a couple of mermaids in the indoor pool, Splashpoint Photo Studio has become one of my regular studios for doing photoshoots with models with me having shot here an additional 12 times over the past couple of years and already booked in for at least another 3 studio days over the next couple of months. What else can I say but that this is probably one of the best photography studios I have ever been to with so much variety in backdrops, ranging from the aforementioned indoor pool to a full house with a range of varied and stunning rooms and of course the main studio itself complete with floating steps, rope swing, neon signs and much more. There is so much to work with here that, even after all my times shooting at the studio, there are still areas I haven't shot in. All this of course comes complete with a wide range of lighting options and the technical expertise of studio owner Russ who has never failed to help me bring my vision to life with me taking many amazing images here. The atmosphere is very laid back which makes for some very relaxed shoots and a great time is always had working here. And to top of it all off the cost of hire is fantastic value! This is absolutely amazing studio that you simply must work at if you get the chance. Very highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning studio it’s like Disneyland can’t be done in 1 session. It’s a bit of a drive for me but well worth it, and no doubt I’ll be revisiting there. Russ was great I’m new to working with studio lighting and Russ was great helping with setting my camera showing how changing the light changes the result. A masterclass in of itself, as Arnie said “I’ll be back”

finally made it across the borders through ice, snow and high winds to this tardis of a photographers dream oasis. Simply what an amazing place and Russ on hand throughout to help show around and ensure the vast array of lighting was available and properly set up.

A visit to Splash Point is worth the journey in itself, but simply put it is one of the most complete photography venues in the country. An honour to have visited and already looking forward to a return now in the knowledge of what the venue has to offer. Highly recommended.

You've heard the term, "like a kid in a candy store", that's how I'd describe any photographer walking into the unassuming-looking bungalow which gazes out to the Irish Sea in Rhyl.

Don't be fooled, though, by first appearances; Splash Point Photo has an incredible range of equipment along with numerous places to shoot - these include the 'normal' (it's anything but typical) studio space, a pool, mini gym, boudoir and impressive reception hall.

The biggest problem you'll have is planning your time and using it wisely.

Russ is also a gentleman, offering help and advice (and coffee) and being discrete and respectful at all times. You'd be a fool not to ask him for suggestions, though, given the exponential number of options you've got at Splash Point Photo.

There's a lot of on-road parking, and the cost is reasonable, so unlike Manchester or London shoots, a large part of the budget doesn't get swallowed up in parking costs.

Russ's pre-comms are also on point - getting back to questions quickly and supplying all the info you need to plan your shoot and make the most of the impressive setup.

I finally managed as shoot at the fabulous Splash point. I've always wanted to shoot there and I've always wanted to shoot Maryna Sedin so when those two stars were in a alignment then It just had to happen.

Slick comms and a warm welcome by Russ into a fab studio. The pics online just don't do it justice and I will shoot there often. Kitted out with all you need including a HEATED swimming pool and Russ helping with lights and setup plus a great brew to start the session.

I have spent 2 wonderful days shooting at Splash Point studio in Rhyl, Wales and I am very happy with it. Russ is an amazing organisator, he has such great regular photographers who like his studio very much,as it is incredible studio. I never had been to such fabulous studio as it is so spacious and diverse. There are many opportunities to shoot there at different rooms and different locations including wonderful outdoor areas. I can't forget to mention that amazing pool, it is very big pool with cool slide and the main thing it is very warm there, so everything is settled good for the models. Russ treats the models very good, and all his family is amazing, I was very glad to meet them all. Russ is flexible to the circumstances as he met me at the station at night due to my late arrival,so I really appreciate it. I couldn't be even happier with the days spending there. Russ was very helpful and his light settings are amazing, all photographers liked them,so we created very many great image. I also liked that Russ was filming bts videos, that's very nice and I am keen to see the results.
