Ascent up the Devil's Staircase

This was taken by the lovely Ewan, a photographer I have had the pleasure of working with twice who shares my passion for fell running. He kindly came to support me running my first ever marathon, one of the toughest around: the Glencoe gathering, which consists of 1,608 metres of ascent on unforgiving terrain in the Scottish Highlands.

I've never been a great one for 'fitness modelling'. For me, fitness is about pushing myself to my limits and often getting very muddy in the process. When I run I do it to be completely present and in the moment, appreciating my body for what it does rather than how it looks.

I thought I would share this here to commemorate on of my greatest achievements, which has nothing to do with posing and trying to be attractive but a lot to do with running up some f**k off big hills :D
