It's great to work with creative people and getting results that everybody involved in the shoot gets something from. It's what makes me tick as a photographer. The moment it all comes together - that's when it's really fun. And that's when good images are created!
The fact that we're all equally important for the final picture, and that a shoot therefore always is a collaboration, is the reason I am happy to share pictures with all involved parties, regardless of whether the shoot was TF or paid-for (unless I'm hired by some large brand to deliver pictures for their nation wide advertising campaign... hahaha!)
Seriously though, I have a day job in IT, and have no ambitions of making photography a profession. The word Amateur comes from Latin "amata" (to love), and that describes my relationship with photography perfectly.
Normally I expect to share a draft selection of pictures within a week or two of the shoot and let the model have a say in which shots gets edited fully.
I've taken photography a little serious since 2001, and enjoyed model photography since 2010. For a few years I was a volunteer photographer for a local palitative care charity and did PR and event photography for press releases and the charity's archives (think people abseiling from buildings, gala dinners, charity runs, patients, staff, prize awards, etc). Although it's just a hobby for me, it gives me a buzz and makes me proud when someone wants to use one of my pictures.
Hope you enjoy having a browse through my portfolio pictures, and please don't hesitate to get in touch!
I have a website where I share pictures and occasionally blog: http://imaginary-visions.co.uk/
