I had the pleasure to shoot with the lovely Roberto Segate.He is a real nice person .I was little bit nervous at the start because I never shoot dark before but it was amazing and I saw the photos I look so beautiful. :-)

Roberto is very friendly and extremely nice.Plus is so honest what I like in people. :-) I did ask few question and the answer was so honest .And this obviously will help me to grow as a model:-)

Plus I was the first model to wore Roberto new masks.The masks are incredible.

One may wonder what Rob is like outside of this place when seeing his creepy and suggestive shots. I was definitely curious as to who was waiting for me at the end of my car journey. Thankfully, he is just as mad as I expected.. Only joking ;) As soon as I was warmly welcomed into his home, I knew I was in safe hands. What a kind, thoughtful, and warm natured man he is. Rob and his wife are lovely. Truly. It also helps if you share the same passions of the dark arts with Rob, as you will never run out of things to talk about and brain storm over.

Rob has a fab wardrobe with which I made a point of looking through. Hats, dresses, and my favourites... the masks! We had so many ideas racing through our heads it seemed all we did was try to see how much further we could push them. Rob drove us to all the locations he had picked for the shoot and supplied me with some of his wardrobe, and using his wonderfully twisted and creative mind put together this character which I was to act out. It honestly was so much fun becoming this character and watching her transform right through to the end of the evening. It just got creepier, dirtier, odder, and something I have only ever visualised in my nightmares :P The locations were great and Rob would always do his best to capture the best images possible. If I was swimming about in the sea, he'd be in the sea (bless him) getting soaked, trying to capture me while holding the camera above his head to avoid getting it wet :P I think we probably ruined two pairs of his shoes ! But this goes to show that Rob is more than happy to put himself right in there with a model and suffer the cold sea/rivers with them :)

The whole time I was content, happy, and relaxed around Rob. There was never any awkwardness or pressure. He was incredibly patient, open minded, and respectful towards me; always making sure I was ok and if I wanted anything to eat or drink. He showed me all of the shots at the end of the evening and he truly does have an eye for creating an amazing image using perfect backgrounds and lighting.

I would highly recommend Rob. What sets him apart from others is his genuine love for the alternative side of what many would consider modelling to be. His unique eye for capturing creepy, and suggestive shots contribute to the awesome end results. He takes EVERYTHING into consideration: Background, setting, costume, props, and what the actual point of the shot is. This comes very natural to Rob, and so this reflected onto me which helped me get into the swing of things.

I was very excited to work with Roberto after the first message I received from him. He is very modest about his work but I personally love it! He sent me his ideas in full detail(stories that can be published on their own) and was very welcoming to hear mines. He picked me up from the station and was so kind to pay for my return ticket as I lost it on the way (which was my fault entirely).

I had a great time shooting with him both on location and his home studio. He has an extensive collection of different outfits to suit the themes he chooses to shoot. I was also provided with face paint that I volunteered to put on myself :)

Rob is a very accommodating person, he provided me with drinks and Welsh cakes throughout the shoot. Would recommend him to anyone who is brave enough to venture into his dark and twisted world!

Had an amazing day with Roberto on Sunday.

Very friendly and welcoming, I felt comfortable around him immediately.

When it came to shooting he had plenty of ideas and gave great direction.

I had so much fun getting covered in fake blood and creeping around lanes, I cannot wait to see the results because I know they are going to be epic!

I highly recommend Roberto and hopefully he will want to work with me again...(next time Rob I promise not to serenade you with Spandau Ballet, even though I suspect that deep down you enjoyed it :p)

Well !

How do I start this, ey?

So, I travelled down to Swansea from Bristol to meet and shoot with Rob ! Communication before hand was great, and from Rob's great portfolio I knew what to bring and what to expect (sort of!!).

Rob is a really lovely, friendly guy who I felt comfortable to be around straight away, we are pretty similar and shared the same views on a lot of things so before even shooting I knew that we would have the same ideas for shots and it was just going to work !

Now the photo side of things...! We started of on the beach then travelled to a location (I've forgotten where now haha) which had these cool tunnels and woods surrounding them. Rob had visions in his head and found opportunities everywhere, and just from the back of the camera these images looked phenomenal !

Having someone that shares the same taste in photography as you is great but getting to work with them is even more awesome !! We were bouncing creativity and ideas off each other the whole shoot and honestly they are everything and more than what I expected/wanted to get from the shoot !

We had such a fun/awesome/ (cold!!!) shoot.

With Rob being so awesome, I was able to express so much as I knew he would capture what I put forward brilliantly - and he did.

Even though he made me lie in a puddle in the pouring rain, I had such a wicked shoot, can't wait to see the images, there were so many fab ones.

A shoot with Rob is like no other (and every shoot with Rob brings new and fantastic surprises!). I've just had my third shoot with Rob and believe me, I won't let it be the last. We've worked at some amazing locations and done some incredibly messy shots at his studio. I have received some incredible photographs from our time together. I absolutely love working with him and would recommend him to anybody. :D 10/10

Well, where do I start?

I traveled down to Swansea for a 2 day shoot with Rob. He instantly made me feel welcome and really looked after me. Lots of cups of tea and yummy food :) We also chatted alot and Rob is so easy to get a long with, such a great guy!

Our shoots where ... let just say ... MESSY! We had lots of blood on the go, lots of rolling around on Forrest floors and climbing trees. Its was cold but it was worth every dam second of it.

Rob has a fantastic imagination and knows just how to get his infamous dark shots. He gives direction well and constantly ensures his models feel comfortable and at ease which is just brilliant. I felt so safe with him.

Rob also made me feel like I could make suggestions and that I to was able to be creative and get in touch with my own darker side. The whole experience of the shoot was amazing and I really can not wait to shoot with him again.

At the end of a shoot, a photographer or artist will often say to me that they would love to work with me again. Usually it takes a while for that to happen. But Rob is so bright, busy and enthused that not so long since our first shoot, we've had two more in quick succession!

I feel absolutely honoured that I was not only included as the last shoot in his beautiful now finished Northbarrow Archives book; but also in some of the first shoots for his exciting new project. I've had great fun with face paint and theatrics for these new images, and I'm over the moon about being included, getting a glimpse into his creative process and even a small influence on it.

There's really nothing else like working with this incredible, imaginative, inspirational man. He's a genius, without a doubt, but he's also fun and down to earth; happy to mix up his shoots with a bit of extra off the wall material and a lot of engaging chatter and conviviality. If you ever get the chance to join him for a few hours, jump at it.

Our second shoot and what a fantastic shoot it was,

rob knew exactly what he wanted,

we planned today's shoot during our first and I am very happy with how it has turned out,

as expected rob just blew me away with additional ideas,

hope the neighbours didn't have a shock ;),

During today's shoot guess what? We were planning our next (having each other on the doorstep is great)

I cannot wait for the images,I know they will be as great as the last ones,

It was my first shoot with Rob yesterday and I so hope it isn't my last! We had fantastic pre shoot chats, so I knew exactly what I needed to bring with me (although I completely over prepared with clothes and still forgot shampoo and a towel!). Rob showed me a lot of examples of his work before we started shooting so we could decide how dark and messy we wanted it to get! I had never taken part in this kind of shoot before, but Rob made me feel so relaxed and gave such great direction that I felt extremely comfortable and really enjoyed it (I can't stress that enough).

As soon as I met Rob, I knew we'd get onand after less than an hour, I can honestly call Rob a good friend :D. We first shot outside in the cold. Rob kept asking to make sure I was warm enough and provided me with tea and chocolate (what more can you ask?!)

We went back to Robs studio where the real fun began! Mud, charcoal and blood all over the place! Thank you so much for the truly awesome day. Please don't leave it too long until we can do this again. I'd recommend Rob to any model.

Miss Versatile

You know when you meet someone for the first time and wish you had met them along time ago?

This is how I feel about Rob, we clicked from the first message,

our pre comms were flowing, ideas from both of us just kept coming,

we live around the corner from each other and only now have we got together for a shoot,

Rob has a very different portfolio to many, many other photographers I have worked with

so as soon as I was given the opportunity to shoot with Rob I grabbed it with both hands,

our first shoot together, was a very dull, rainy day, which was absolutely perfect for what we have created :D,

We sadly didn't get to shoot all the ideas we had planned for this day,

but all is not lost ,

we have arranged a shoot for next wk for part 2 :D

I am so excited, having Rob live around the corner is fantastic,

I get to work with him on a regular basis, with the ideas in my mind he may not get to work much it anyone else :p

would I recommend Rob Yes I would most certainly do so,

Rob I cannot wait to work with you again and again :D

thank you so much for a absolutely fantastic shoot albeit very different,

but I love different so bring on more blood, gore and horrible images, in the most beautiful sense of course :D xx

I was first time collaborate Robertosegate. When I checked his portfolio and saw his productions .....I though OMG !!! quite scare it not my styles ..... lol well just joked..... As a productions makeup artist I need to create different types characters not just beauty look only . I am Certainty to work with Roberto again to have a horror, zombies and SFX this types shoot. Very happy with the image he have a shoot.

I had the honour of working with Roberto recently and to be honest i cant wait to work with him again ! It was a good fun day and ive been blown away by the images.

it was great to do something a little different and roberto was definatly the person to help me achieve this, he directed me well was really friendly and makes a awesome coffee .

I had the unbelievable privilege to be the last model to get included in RS's upcoming book. And for a first shoot, I have never felt such an immediate creative connection with someone, it was incredible fun. We shot some wickedly peculiar things and I just can't wait to see what art he makes of them. Still a huge fan, but now of the man himself, his lovely partner and his adorable grumpyfaced old cat AS WELL as the work. Would I work with him again? Every week if he wanted me to. Brilliant.

What can I say about Rob????! He is AMAZING!!!!! He is such a creative person and is brimming with ideas and I believe, we think on the same wavelength ;] He was very friendly, sociable and extremely laid back and I'm glad I travelled up to him and done a shoot! :) Rob helped me achieved a whole new look for me and I must say, I am very VERY VERY impressed with the outcome!! I cannot recommend him enough! Plus - He makes the most yummiest coffee and is a brilliant host! I hope to work with Rob again in the future and forever more. Traveled to Robs yesterday for a shoot , although only 60 miles away this journey somehow took me 8 hours(trains fault !) but my word was it worth it !!!! this was one of the few shoots i have been nervous about as had done nothing like this before but as soon as i met him i was at ease and so excited to start shooting.

The brief was escaped inmate which i adored being a hard core horror fan We went to some near by woods, and robs direction helped me get into character straight away. .When i saw the images we had created i was overwhelmed Rob is such a incredible photographer and such a unique style . certainly one of my favourite shoots to date and im so excited to work with him again even if it takes another 8 hours to get to him totally worth every minute highly recommended , thanks rob !!!

Wow today was interesting, I had my first shoot with Rob and I must admit I was initially nervous having not done anything quite like it before but it was a really enjoyable shoot. I got caked in charcoal, gave dead stares and crazy smiles and even had a swim.... well paddle, it was just what I needed on a monday morning :)

Rob was fantastic and so easy to get along with he even had cake ready to keep my my cake addiction at bay.

On a serious note though Rob gave great direction and his attention to detail throughout was flawless. I literally can't wait to see the end results I know he puts so much effort into the final images as he also did through the shoot.

I hope I have the opportunity to work with him again and I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to try something new.

Absolutely fabshoot had fun..was very strange being told not to smile. Traumatic might be the best word to describe my first shoot with Roberto with me projecting my brekky everywhere, what a trouper he was though. Roberto was very understanding and gentlemanly about things and we arranged to shoot again the following week:)

Take Two: I had so much fun working with Roberto allowing my dark side to come out, playing with the blood and 'living my twisted dream'. Such a great experience and just itching to back and do some more.

He is of course a specialist at what he does and in the genre so to be able to work with him is fantastic. He is the best and highly recommended, can't wait for the next project :)
