One word wow!!!!! What an incredible photographer and person in one. Such a genuine chatty and thoughtful man with amazing artistic abilities and creativity. My shoot went spot on, spontaneous but with a hint of ideas. He is so respectful of the model and always asks to check if I was okay etc. His work is definitely unique and if you get the chance, work with Roberto. This guy is one in a million and is so open to new ideas and the model’s POV.

I used clay and some awesome creepy props from Rob’s. I cannot wait to visit again but with my partner. Thank you for a bloody splendid day!!

Rob is mad in the best way possible. He made me and my partner Joel feel very comfortable, and had no end of wonderful creative ideas (as is obvious from his portfolio) that were communicated very well through reference images etc. 3hrs flew by - I would absolutely recommend working with him if you have the opportunity!

I recently had the opportunity to work with this insanely incredible dark art photographer. I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to work with someone as weird and wonderful and creative as himself. He was very respectful and accommodating and made sure I was comfortable through out the entire shoot. Thoroughly enjoyed covering myself in clay and getting messy and creepy for this one. Its always refreshing working with a photographer that has similar interests and ideas in art that most would be put off by. I would highly recommend working with Roberto he is a true artist and an huge inspiration. Thank you for a wonderful shoot would love the opportunity to work with you again in the future.

Wow! It’s hard to believe this was only my third shoot with Rob, it feels as if we’ve been working together a lot longer than that - in a good way!

I totally agree with everything LifeModel (who was again my duo partner in crime) has said in his reference. Rob is a thoroughly lovely person to spend time with, even if it involves clay (again!) in his shed at the bottom of his garden. This was such a fun day & again was messy & challenging but also hilarious & full of giggles & silliness. Who could ask for more? It’s hard to believe we were creating such sombre images. As LifeModel has said I was also blown away by what we’d achieved together when Rob showed us the back of camera shots, & that’s before he’s done his dark wizardry jiggery pokery magic with them.

I’ve not had so much fun in ages, well not since the last time we did this!

Am I mad if I say I can’t wait to do it again?? Thank you so much Rob, you’re a star :-)

skycladpixie and I had both been looking forward a long time to a second shoot with Rob in Swansea, he is the absolute master of the creepy and bizarre not to mention a thoroughly nice guy to spend time with. I have no clue where his ideas come from but he has an astonishing talent for creating something from almost nothing. Most of our shoot took place in the shed at the bottom of his garden but at the end of the day I saw literally jaw-dropping images better than anything I've done in a studio. Rob and his partner took care to make sure we were comfortable at all times and very kindly put us up for the night as we were heading on further into Wales the next day. If you want to be a part of something really on the edge this is the place to be - work with Rob! Recommended without hesitation.

My second shoot with Rob & I really don’t know where to start, in a good way I hasten to add! Everything I said in my first reference & more really, much much more. I was chuffed to bits when Leaf said that Rob would love to shoot us both - I think I did a happy dance there & then!

Rob sent me examples of what he wanted to shoot to ensure I knew what I was getting myself into. The shoot was challenging, we covered ourselves in modelling clay, so most of the time our vision was very limited, & red food dye really doesn’t taste very nice, what we do in the name of art eh?

Rob managed to balance our comfort, ensuring we were warm enough, had hot drinks & something to eat etc - with cries of “you need to apply more clay, much more!”

I have to say I had so so much fun on this shoot, I think the three of us made a super team (hope we get to do it again sometime) & the results are just amazing - I think we managed to capture desolate very well.

I’m really looking forward to my next shoot with Rob (& LifeModel) - I really can’t wait. In fact I think I’m addicted & I’ll keep shooting with Rob until he gets fed up of me :-). Our first shoot changed the way I approached my modelling, turned it on it’s head & this shoot was very much the same.

Rob is such an incredible talent, his work gives me shivers, & to top it all off he’s just the loveliest human being too, another beautiful soul (even if a somewhat dark one!).

There’s plenty more I could say but I’ll shut up now - Rob you’re a legend, thank you so so much!!!

Rob is a truly inspiring artist, so talented and full of amazing ideas - had a lot of fun experimenting with his huge selection of props. It turns out as well as being a skilled photographer he also makes some pretty cool masks. Professional and respectful throughout, he was so easy to work with and an interesting conversationalist. Thanks so much for our shoot, can't wait to see the edits!

Wow, wow & WOW! An overused word I know but it seems very fitting to describe a shoot with Rob! I'm still buzzing a couple of days later. I was so excited when LifeModel said that he'd approached Rob to work on a shoot & he'd said yes. I've admired Rob's work since I joined PP so I was absolutely thrilled.

As others have said, Rob really is an artist. Having seen & admired his work from afar I have to say I was a little nervous about meeting the man himself but really needn't have been. As soon as he opened the door with a smile I knew we were going to have a fabulous day & I wasn't wrong. He was the perfect host supplying us with tea, coffee & sandwiches throughout the day which was much appreciated.

He'd clearly spent considerable time preparing with regard to locations (which were fantastic), a shoot plan & the most incredible props - his handmade masks are something else entirely. He was absolutely overflowing with ideas & his creativity was immediately obvious during the shoot. I loved that he knew exactly what he wanted from the shots but was also very happy with contributions from LifeModel & I also.

He is also 100% professional & respectful, whilst also being fun & chatty, excellent company. The day flew by.

This shoot exceeded my expectations on every level, I can't thank Rob & LifeModel enough & I shall have to try & control my excitement whilst I eagerly await Part 2!

Thank you again so much Rob, you really are a star & I'm so sorry about the nettles, oh & the thistles :-)

I had the great pleasure of shooting together with Rob and Skyclad Pixie both at Rob's home and at a superb nearby location. Rob is a charming and intelligent man, full of well thought out ideas and armed with the most amazing selection of home-made masks which formed the central 'theme' of our shoot. Rob was just as happy to embrace ideas we threw in ourselves as the shoot went along. He also kept us well pampered with sandwiches and cups of tea! A true artist and I recommend him to others with enthusiasm.

I had my second shoot today with Rob and another model, Hedy. Rob arrived on time and with plenty of outfits and props to use. The shoot was fairly spontaneous in nature, but as always Rob had a vision for what kind of shots he wanted, and was also happy to listen to our ideas.

We had a really fun (if bizarre) shoot, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rob to any model who wants something a little different on their portfolio. Thanks again :)

I had my first shoot was Rob today, and it was a blast! He took great pains to ensure I was well looked after, from picking me up and driving me to my buses and trains, to providing cups of tea and refreshments during the shoot, and making sure I was warm and comfortable.

He has a fantastically artistic eye and shooting with him was an education! He is super easy to chat to, he was a perfect gentleman throughout, and I was perfectly at ease in his company. Even though the journey was long (and I got quite sick) to get to him, it was totally worth it! I can't wait to see what wonderful art he creates from the images we got today.

I hope to work with him (and his gorgeous cat) again very soon!

My first shoot with the lovely Rob today!

We got on like a house on fire. I felt really nervous/sick before meeting Rob but that soon went after chatting about shoot ideas etc.

For the shoot, we went to a nearby field and shot for a few hours, it was so much fun!

Really looking forward to working together on more projects in the very near future, and it's great to have met such a like minded individual. Friend for life I predict.

Oh and I'm super excited to see all the great images we've produced!

What is there else to be said..! Weird unusual happenings in the world of Roberto Segate. This time it was another duo shoot with the awesome 'Leaf' and the day absolutely flew by we managed to get a great variety of different shots/styles and just pure creativity it was great! Rob is always impeccable with timing, correspondence and profesionalism but has a wicked sense of humour and is a pure bloody genius. This time though he managed to put up with a whole load of crazy requests by me :) So add very patient to the list... Haha! I always have an excellent time and always leave with more ideas and looking forward to the next shoot. If you work with Rob you won't be disappointed! Highly recommended to all.

I noticed Rob a while ago and made a note that at some point I'd get in touch when I was shooting again- VERY glad I did! After spending a couple of weeks messaging and discussing concepts around the surreal, the grotesque, the 'beautiful' and the 'ugly' I knew that our shoot would be something very out of the ordinary.

Masks were a huge theme of our shoot yesterday, in fact, THE theme, really. I was amazed by how differently I felt with them on and how working with Rob was just this awesome combination of laughing and then the 'otherness' feeling that comes when you are creating something odd and unusual.

Rob is fantastic to work with - fun, intelligent, thoughtful, creativity coming out of his ears (and toes, and...you get the picture!). Some of what we did yesterday was unsettling. Some was weird. One or two were absolutely monstrous and horrifying...I was scared just looking at the back of the camera! On the other hand, I also named my main mask and made her talk. As you do. (she's called Doris for the record and she LOVES being in front of the camera!)

'nuff said, this is guy has a rare ability to tap into the shadowy places we all hold, as well as being a fantastic photographer and an all-around great person. If you're ready to take a trip to a darker aspect of your psyche and creative drive - then go work with Rob.

I certainly won't hesitate to do so again!

I worked with Rob on a duo shoot with my partner a few days ago and we both had a fantastic time. We shot in 3 different locations and Rob had some fantastic ideas. We shot for the whole day and I cant believe how quickly time went. Rob is a great guy, chatty and very easy to work with as well as providing great direction and inspiration. The masks he creates are incredible and we got chance to shoot with a few during the shoot. I cannot wait to see the finished images and would recommend Rob to any model looking to enhance their portfolio. I would love to work with him again on some more creative ideas!

2nd time working with Rob and another enjoyable shoot. The shoots are always laid back and fun and Rob is a great guy to work with, his photos are amazing too. Look forward to our 3rd shoot in the New Year!!

So first time working with Rob and hopefully not the last. We did a location shoot and everything went very smoothly, communication before via the pp messaging system was excellent and very clear with the ideas and what sort of stuff to bring and before heading to the location Rob went through the vague plan of the shoot, so all very easy and clear to understand.

Throughout the shoot Rob was incredibly easy to work with, chatty and overall good fun. If you are looking for something different to add to your portfolio or just want a really nice shoot I highly recommend Rob. Having had a fairly long break from modelling working with him was an excellent choice to come back into shooting again. Definitely looking forward to arranging another shoot with him and can not recommend enough, excellent stuff.

Ah another amazing and awesome shoot!! (Number 7!) This time Rob braved the journey up to the wilds of Ceredigion for a shoot with myself and the amazing Silk! :)

We went to a fantastic derelict location which I knew would be perfect for Rob... It was spot on!

The three of us just work so well together - I have to say this was one of the most creative and fun shoots ever - it was brilliant! I was not feeling 100% but I was not going to miss this shoot for the world - and I'm so glad I did it - such incredible and inspirational fun!! Rob and Silk are such good supportive friends that there is no pressure at all - and somehow I drew creative energy from reserves I did not know I had... We had so many varied ideas and the whole shoot just flowed with them in such a wonderfully spontaneous way!

Chilling out and chatting afterwards by candlelight in the derelict caravan was ace - these two people are amazing and I loved every second of this shoot! I have some fantastic and very funny memories from this day, which I shall treasure.

Rob is an exceptional photographer, his work is just unique and jaw-droppingly good - and so inspiring to me. I have learnt so much from this man. If you want to enter the dark side - this is the man for you! 100% recommended! Thank you Rob!! :) :) :)
