I had the joy of visiting Iceland again recently and exploring many of its different extraordinary natural environments, grand and small. Many of us associate photographing Iceland with capturing the majestically dramatic geographical features, but I also find myself equally drawn to the soft and cosy nooks and crannies, the baby forests, the hobbit lands and the brave little flowers that poke their faces poke up to the sky.

I was fortunate enough to live in Iceland on and off for several years, and grew to love and hate it throughout its diverse moods and seasons. In this moment I was blissfully grateful to be simply sitting in a spell of lukewarm midday sun on a pillow of bouncy moss (having carefully scooted over on my bottom to disrupt it as little as possible).
