References for PGD Modelling and Photography Studios

I've had the pleasure of doing remote shoots at PGD Studios multiple times over the past year since first shooting there during Cariad Celis' studio day last April. Since then I have shot Girl on Fire twice during two different studio days as well as shooting with Ross Underwood, Forlana Morte, Kitty Dawson and Chloe Julia during several themed remote photography social sessions and each time Gary truly brings his a-game with the creative lighting setups, managing to do something different and distinctive for each shoot and providing top notch technical expertise and professionalism at all times. This a truly fantastic studio to work at and I will no doubt be shooting here remotely again in the near future. Very highly recommended!

Had another lovely remote session at PGD last week. That's at least a dozen shoots and might be as high as 20--my notes show 15, but I might have missed some. The remote rig is easy to use, the results are great, and Garry is always available to move props, lights, or change sets as needed.

This time it was some film noir, some hollywood glamour, and some 1920's vintage looks, all handled with aplomb by Cariad Celis as model, with Garry as photo assistant.

Once again a fantastic Retro Rob Tour experience at this welcoming Studio after hours of travelling from London to Leicester to be greeted by Gary and a coffee is what it’s all about.

It was a year ago I shot at PGD Studios but it felt so familiar and welcoming it was like I had been shooting there for years.

Nothing is too much trouble and model care is 100% even down to helping defrosting my car so I had a safe journey back that is service above and beyond!

I love working at PGD the banter and vibe is infectious and once again we captured some cracking images.

If you haven’t worked at this studio before you should definitely check it out.

I shot at PGD yesterday with Kevin Connery - I had an amazing time. The studio owner Gary was very friendly, makes a great cuppa, happy to answer any questions and helped make my first ever remote shoot go smoothly. The studio has a fantastic collection of equipment and the remote shooting set up is impressive. Looking forward to my next visit!

Worked with Garry at PGD yesterday on another remote session; I think this was my 12th time working there. Their remote setup is one of the best I've used, with excellent control over the lights, and Garry has been great at fine-tuning, changing gels, modifiers, and camera position/rotation. There's a lot of sets, from a fine white cyclorama, a black void set, a variety of seamless papers, and some I haven't even tried yet.

I have attended this studio regular over the last 12 months , with various group shoots and 1-1 shoots, the professional approach by Gary is second to none. He is a true professional with the management and the hospitality of his models and the clients. He is a true gentleman.

Nothing is to much trouble for him and the lighting techniques he can produce are amazing. Would I attend again most definitely. I can't recommend this studio highly enough . Finally don't delay with booking this studio

Garry is friendly, outgoing, charismatic, professional, and had good hospitality I can definitely see how passionate he is about photography and how knowledgable and skilled of a studio owner and photographer, that he is.

I attended my first studio day with Garry at PGD Modelling and Photography Studios and was happy with the overall experience. There was a great model (Ria Rose), the studio was very well equipped and HUGE. It was nice to shoot in such a large space, I could get whatever shot I wanted with a long lens, and was quickly able to pick out different set-ups (portrait, low-keys) with minimal effort. Garry was also super helpful and pleasant, being there when needed, and out of the way when not. I recommend the studio and look forward to shooting there again. Thanks!

I had a great first time at PGDPhotography attending a Studio Day.

It was my first time doing studio photography, a complete beginner but the setup and help was outstanding!

Garry is bubbly and a fantastic help explaining the lighting setups, assisting with camera setups and tips and all my questions I had!

The studio had multiple scenes setup and ample room to accommodate my 85mm portrait lens!

I would love to revisit and work at this studio with Garry again! Thank you!

Had a pair of remote 1920's-themed Hollywood Glamour sessions at PGD in recent weeks, and the sessions went without a hitch.

Since that theme requires hard light, it was very convenient to use PGD, since they have a lovely strobe-based fresnel system as part of their remote-controlled lighting setup. And, since we were concentrated-focus fresnel lighting, the lights needed a lot more hands-on tweaking and moving throughout the session than the more commonly used soft light, Garry was a godsend when it came to making that happen.

That plus a wide range of props, and a wonderful remote setup overall, makes it certain I'll be using the studio a lot more in the future.

I was very lucky to have a great studio day in PGD studio! Garry wrote me in Trusted studio web site and invite me to Leicester, he was so nice and polite! Gave me all the necessary information and kept me informed of the situation all the time! I came to the studio with my friend and Garry was so kind to let him wait in the studio, offer us some drinks and food and was so funny and easy all the time! Garry has really very intresting and cool personality! You have always a lot of fun with him!

His studio is really great! He carry about it so much and always create some new intresting backgrounds and designs! Also he has a looot of really great professional techniques including remote shoot camera! So you can create awesome shots from own home!

Atmosphere in the studio is awesome, it was always warm and comfortable, my changing room was completely private and very convenient 😀

I was working with a lot of photographers and firstly : all them was really very professional and creative and secondly each shoot was completely different!😱 Different backgrounds, looks and even style! So all photos are various and i even don't know how to choose the best😄

In this studio always happening something intresting : paint shootings, cosplays, dancing, Garry is very creative! 🙈

I shot another remote set at PGD a few days ago, continuing with my warriors theme. We used a couple of different sets--seamless paper and the blackout area this time--and Garry was his usual efficient and cheerful self. Everything went off without a hitch, which is just how I like things.

Another remote session with Garry at PGD, this one with Ashleigh Rae. We went for a fashion and beauty look, with a warrior-esque theme, and the studio was well-suited for the task. Garry was on-hand to adjust lights and tweak sets and such, and the results were fabulous.

Great precomms, an efficient setup, and no hassles; it doesn't get any better.

Another week, another remote session at PGD. :)

This time, we went with a black-and-white Hollywood Glamour, 1920's-1930's look, with hard fresnel lighting, and Garry was great at making sure things were set Just Right whenever the model moved--very hard directional light takes more effort than the more common soft light, but sometimes that's what the photos need.

Well-equipped, with a superb remote setup, and a great on-site 'assistant' makes for an excellent session.

I recently had another remote session hosted by Garry at PGD. In addition to the outstanding service during the session, he went above and beyond before the session to help address some last-minute issues that would have blocked me completely, what with the 8-hour time zone difference between my home and the studio compounded by my lack of knowledge of his area.

That said, the studio is well-equipped, Garry was extremely helpful whenever I needed something tweaked or fine-tuned, and always (always!) cheerful and professional.

For those working remotely, I absolutely recommend it. Two (or more) thumbs up!

My first shoot at PGD and certainly won't be my last. Allan and Garry made me very welcome and the facilities for both photographers and models are spot on. The studio publishes a varied and excititng schedule of events and the lighting and background setups are of a very high standard with helpful and friendly advice on hand to make the shoot go well. I discovered pgd studio 1 year ago with remote shooting organized by a fantastic team. Amazing technical setup, always open to requests, always sharing tips and experience, Gary and Allen are also very helpful for personal shooting at the studio via their remote interface.

Yeah, must confess it's my weekly breath of photographic air. Definitely the best choice you can make for a studio and a team. And I even do not mention their gorgeous team of models.
