References for PGD Modelling and Photography Studios

I attended a PGD social event and discovered the studio for the first time. Having spoken to Garry in advance I knew there would be a friendly warm welcome and I was impressed with the space of the studio and what it had to offer. Garry was on hand at all times to offer advice and very effective in keeping the flow going with minimal management and ensuring the lighting for the different sets were spot on. Garry is a great ambassador for the studio and show cased it well. I will definitely be returning to work in the studio and with the models he has assembled. Thank you ( and the social members) for a great introductory welcome to Leicester.

I found out about the existence of PGD and then shot there all within the same week! The studio is lovely and Garry was an excellent host to myself and the other human and canine models that attended and the in person and remote photographers. I hope it won't be too long before our paths cross again

Had to chance to shoot with Ell Mae at PGD remotely. Garry reminded me of their setup while Ell Mae got ready with the first look, and he was able to take images I had in a mood board to give us inspiration and quickly set up the lighting etc ready for Ell to step in. Very smooth remote setup, comms, and quick turn around of the raw images sent within 24 hours.

Will hopefully be able to at least shoot remote at the studio again in the future when possible and maybe one day there in person.

I'd highly recommend PGD Modeling and Photography. Their studio is well equip with high quality professional gear from strobes to backdrops, along with props and sets. Garry is super helpful and very knowledgeable. They have a great range of "house models", and promote a safe and creative environment. You can't go wrong using them for studio hire, attending their socials, or purchasing equipment. A+

I book in at least monthly, and more when I can.

What a great place to work. Multiple set ups and a huge range of lighting options. In addition an excellent place to use the aerial hoop.

Garry, the owner, was a pleasure to work with throughout the shoot. Rapid lighting changes, boosted overall productivity, while creative and technical inputs were always available and helpful. And the coffee was hot and continuous, as required. Definitely a bonus! :)

While PGD is a long way from home, I would certainly be very happy to work here again and totally recommend Garry and PGD to all photographers. Thanks, Garry.

I've had the pleasure of doing remote shoots at PGD Studios multiple times over the past year since first shooting there during Cariad Celis' studio day last April. Since then I have shot Girl on Fire twice during two different studio days as well as shooting with Ross Underwood, Forlana Morte, Kitty Dawson and Chloe Julia during several themed remote photography social sessions and each time Gary truly brings his a-game with the creative lighting setups, managing to do something different and distinctive for each shoot and providing top notch technical expertise and professionalism at all times. This a truly fantastic studio to work at and I will no doubt be shooting here remotely again in the near future. Very highly recommended!

Had another lovely remote session at PGD last week. That's at least a dozen shoots and might be as high as 20--my notes show 15, but I might have missed some. The remote rig is easy to use, the results are great, and Garry is always available to move props, lights, or change sets as needed.

This time it was some film noir, some hollywood glamour, and some 1920's vintage looks, all handled with aplomb by Cariad Celis as model, with Garry as photo assistant.

Once again a fantastic Retro Rob Tour experience at this welcoming Studio after hours of travelling from London to Leicester to be greeted by Gary and a coffee is what it’s all about.

It was a year ago I shot at PGD Studios but it felt so familiar and welcoming it was like I had been shooting there for years.

Nothing is too much trouble and model care is 100% even down to helping defrosting my car so I had a safe journey back that is service above and beyond!

I love working at PGD the banter and vibe is infectious and once again we captured some cracking images.

If you haven’t worked at this studio before you should definitely check it out.

The studio owner Gary was very friendly, makes a great cuppa, happy to answer any questions and helped make my first ever remote shoot go smoothly. The studio has a fantastic collection of equipment and the remote shooting set up is impressive. Looking forward to my next visit!

Worked with Garry at PGD yesterday on another remote session; I think this was my 12th time working there. Their remote setup is one of the best I've used, with excellent control over the lights, and Garry has been great at fine-tuning, changing gels, modifiers, and camera position/rotation. There's a lot of sets, from a fine white cyclorama, a black void set, a variety of seamless papers, and some I haven't even tried yet.

Highly recommended.

I have attended this studio regular over the last 12 months , with various group shoots and 1-1 shoots, the professional approach by Gary is second to none. He is a true professional with the management and the hospitality of his models and the clients. He is a true gentleman.

Nothing is to much trouble for him and the lighting techniques he can produce are amazing. Would I attend again most definitely. I can't recommend this studio highly enough . Finally don't delay with booking this studio

I attended my first studio day with Garry at PGD Modelling and Photography Studios and was happy with the overall experience. There was a great model (Ria Rose), the studio was very well equipped and HUGE. It was nice to shoot in such a large space, I could get whatever shot I wanted with a long lens, and was quickly able to pick out different set-ups (portrait, low-keys) with minimal effort. Garry was also super helpful and pleasant, being there when needed, and out of the way when not. I recommend the studio and look forward to shooting there again. Thanks!

I had a great first time at PGDPhotography attending a Studio Day.

It was my first time doing studio photography, a complete beginner but the setup and help was outstanding!

Garry is bubbly and a fantastic help explaining the lighting setups, assisting with camera setups and tips and all my questions I had!

The studio had multiple scenes setup and ample room to accommodate my 85mm portrait lens!

I would love to revisit and work at this studio with Garry again! Thank you!

Had a pair of remote 1920's-themed Hollywood Glamour sessions at PGD in recent weeks, and the sessions went without a hitch.

Since that theme requires hard light, it was very convenient to use PGD, since they have a lovely strobe-based fresnel system as part of their remote-controlled lighting setup. And, since we were concentrated-focus fresnel lighting, the lights needed a lot more hands-on tweaking and moving throughout the session than the more commonly used soft light, Garry was a godsend when it came to making that happen.

That plus a wide range of props, and a wonderful remote setup overall, makes it certain I'll be using the studio a lot more in the future.

Highly recommended studio.

I was very lucky to have a great studio day in PGD studio! Garry wrote me in Trusted studio web site and invite me to Leicester, he was so nice and polite! Gave me all the necessary information and kept me informed of the situation all the time! I came to the studio with my friend and Garry was so kind to let him wait in the studio, offer us some drinks and food and was so funny and easy all the time! Garry has really very intresting and cool personality! You have always a lot of fun with him!

His studio is really great! He carry about it so much and always create some new intresting backgrounds and designs! Also he has a looot of really great professional techniques including remote shoot camera! So you can create awesome shots from own home!

Atmosphere in the studio is awesome, it was always warm and comfortable, my changing room was completely private and very convenient 😀

I was working with a lot of photographers and firstly : all them was really very professional and creative and secondly each shoot was completely different!😱 Different backgrounds, looks and even style! So all photos are various and i even don't know how to choose the best😄

In this studio always happening something intresting : paint shootings, cosplays, dancing, Garry is very creative! 🙈

I was so happy to come to this studio and to work with such professionals! It was a great day! ☀️ Thank you🤗
