I first met Melanie at an event organised by John Gannon and I've always admired her work from photo-shoots to feature films! Her work is exceptional from simple beauty makeup, through more avant-garde styles to full on SFX gore-n-more :)

So I was absolutely delighted when Melanie responded to my casting call to style Rayne Swan for our classic Hollywood glamour portrait shoot. Melanie did the make-up and hair for this shoot and of course nailed both: lifting the results up several notches!

Melanie is completely passionate about her work and is a joy to work with. she stuck around on set for the shoot helping out with tweaks to the makeup, hair, and wardrobe, leaving me to concentrate on wrangling the light into place :)

Melanie is very easy to get along with - and the 3 of us had a wonderful and creative day that just flew by with some fantastic results. I absolutely recommend Melanie for any still or video projects you have !

Definitley want to put a word here and say how amazing it was to meet and work with Mel on our 1940s style shoot! Mel is so talented and by far one of the most interesting people I've met. We nailed the look completely and I'm so grateful to have worked with her! Huge thanks and hope to work with you again soon Mel :)

MelVicMakeup asked me to be a model for a barber demonstration with master-barber Tony Haresign.

The whole event was superb in its organisation and execution, with the facilities at MelVicMakeup being pristine & high-spec.

Melanie is talented, approachable, happy & is great at looking after her workforce/models. A great communicator and an absolute pleasure to work with. Highly recommended.

I applied to casting call on Friday for today’s shoot. The communication was really good before hand, really thorough directions so I didn’t get lost.

I was needed for a make up demonstration, she introduced me to her student and made me feel really welcome. Explained everything so well, was an easy and fun shoot.

Would recommend for make up and to other models highly! Very professional, hope to work with you again 😁

Responded to a short notice Casting Call from Mel for a photographer for her Make Up Academy to do some photos showing her MUA Students work. This was the third time I have shot at Melvic. You are always made very welcome by Mel, cup of tea/coffee, she even has her own lights and background. ;-). Mel is very chatty in between advising her students and the students do some excellent work and is a pleasure to photograph them as Mel trains them well from her own very high standards. Melvic is very strongly Recommended.

I had both my hair and make up done today by Mel during a pin up shoot, in which we tried three looks. Mel has the most impressive make up kit i have seen yet, and came armed with a bag of beautiful hats!

I loved every look Mel done on me, shes very easy to get on with and i would highly recommend her to anyone. Id love to work with her again in the future.

I was invited in to the excellent Melvic Makeup Academy (... well, I did pester Mel for a bit ;-)) for a shoot to provide a record of the work of her pupils (not a so I met and photographed the lovely Rachel, Georgia, Issy, and Lucy for a short and simple record of their MUA's work.

With Mel (the owner of the Academy) now having her own studio lights and backdrop, it made life a lot easier for me as a photographer.

While Rachel (Miss Warrington 2016-2017) had obviously been photographed before, Issy, Georgia, and Lucy had not but they they quickly got into the swing of it and took directions well and I ended up with some good photos. Thanks girls.

Overall, it was good few hours and always a pleasure to work at Melvic Makeup Academy.

I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit the MelVic academy yesterday and boy what a day!!! Everybody was absolutely lovely, such a friendly environment and everyone was so efficient. The lady I worked with created 2 looks on me and I loved them both, the attention to detail was outstanding!! You usually get told, don't believe everything you read, in this case believe it!! Another brilliant day with Melvic Makeup Academy.

Mel is a warm and hospitable host at her academy, she trains her students to a high standard to release their creative potential. Between assessment Mel and Student Lucy created an Avant Garde peacock look, providing entertainment and refreshments.

Melvic Make-up is not just a training academy it's a family and a place every model should experience, everyone is welcoming and lovely.

I've now worked with Mel and her students 3 times now and would again!

What can I say about Mel.. such a lovely and friendly woman with amazing creative ability. Mel was drafted in after 2 cancellations, at short notice and created a look with roughly 1 days notice of the theme!

She created a geisha make up look and hairstyle.

Would highly recommend Mel, her academy and students. Can't wait to work with her again :)

Just had our 2nd shoot at MelVic Makeup Academy. Mel & her very skillfull MUA's Beki & Nadine provided us with 2 very beautiful and creative makeovers for 3 models. Cannot begin to tell you how wonderfully creative they are - they are a pleasure to work with and take immense pride in what they achieve.

We 3 photographers had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the shoot. Can not praise Mel & her team highly enough, they do a truly impressive job and we get the results in our images.

I have just finished a shoot at melvic make up academy with the lovely Mel, 2 very talented MUAs Becki and Nadine.

Along with 3 photographers and another model MizXara we had a fab day creating some really fantastic images.

Mel is always welcoming when I go to the academy she looks after everyone and I always learn something new from her every time.

It's been my second time there and I can't wait to be back again soon
