I was privileged to have another tuition/shoot session with Alicia today, and even luckier to have her good friend John ("Aquae Sulis") join us to give me an extra hand. The two sides of the same (priceless) coin that is Alicia (model and photographer) are equally highly polished, but even her talents don't extend to being in two places at once, so it was great to have John assisting from behind camera while Alicia worked her magic in front. (They even swapped places for some test shots, and I can say that whilst he made an equally kind, knowledgeable and helpful tutor, John will never make it as a model :-p)

The combined assistance of my duo of FPI-winning mentors (trio, if you count the success of Alicia's "Light Master Photography" alter ego as well!) has been a big help today, and I should now be in a much better place to make the most of future shoots that I have planned with Alicia.

Whatever it is you're looking for (initial inspiration and development of ideas, assistance with lighting and angles in capturing the images you desire, or just sheer beauty to complete the perfect shot; not to mention a lovely flat/studio facility with an array of quality furnishings, outfits and lighting/camera gear), this wondrous lady has it all in spades :-)

If you have any doubts about booking Alicia then banish them to the furthest parts of your mind and start making arrangements now!

Your own determination to succeed seems to have grown into a determination to help me to succeed too, for which I am extremely lucky and grateful. J9 Studios

Alicia graced the studio today for the first time, for a shoot with John (Orpentog). Originally planned to be done at Alicia's gorgeous looking place in Bath, a slight change in circumstances meant they both popped into J9 instead.

We hope Alicia enjoyed her time at the studio, and can't wait to have her back. Thoroughly recommended!

I had a great shot yesterday with Alicia.

After we both had travel trouble we had a quick change of plan and met up at the excellent J9 studio near Tewkesbury.

It meant that instead of sets based on Alicia’s apartment in Bath we did sets based on my vintage outfits and props. .

In the course of our three hour shoot Alicia flagged not a jot, barely managing to finish the tea I made her as soon as she arrived (and although we had worked over lunchtime, she didn’t even stop for the sandwich and cake I had brought in – but I did!). What she did was show keenness, versatility, passion, an open mind, knowledge and enthusiasm.

Keen to get straight on with the vintage lingerie shots - a rare occasion when I didn't have to explain (mansplain??) the differences between vintage and modern stockings.

Versatile - adapting the look, literally beautifully, from femme fatale to pin-up to domina. All in a variety of settings. And then onto some ‘fully dressed’ which is not her usual thing.

Boiling over with passion - for the kind of shots and outfits we were working on – no need for much direction on that score from me once I had set the scene.

Open-minded – Alicia has her levels and limits, but wasn’t fazed in anyway when discussing and achieving the shots.

Knowledge of both sides of the camera; her modelling skill seems instinctive, but she has conscientiously studied a whole lot of master photographers and models, absorbing the images they achieve, learning and practising the techniques they use. Her work as a photographer is impressive. Alicia brings a whole new standard to the selfie, but I won’t reveal the technical secrets she shared with me. But I like to think I might have taught her a couple of things.

Enthusiasm – bucket loads of it – for photography in the round , its techniques, images and approaches. I learnt loads.

And that's not mentioned the great fun and chat we had throughout the session. Fantastic woman, fantastic model, fantastic photographer. Here’s to next time.

Had an experimental shoot with Alicia at her apartment, trying out a few ideas. She looked great has a fabulous physique and is very patient. Her apartment is a brilliant location for photography with plenty of room and some great props. Recommended.

Wow - what a lovely Lady! This was our first shoot together and it certainly won't be our last. Alicia couldn't have been more receptive to the kind of images I wanted us to create and the result was not only wonderfully productive but also hugely enjoyable. Apart from being a stunning looking lady, Alicia is an intelligent, multi-talented individual; for example she is a more than competent photographer herself - AKA Nikon Lady perchance! Alicia is a very pretty model and goes out of her way to give you the shots you want highly recommended beautiful girl and a beautiful person too I can't fault her at all perfect if you get a chance to shoot with this beautiful model grab it with both hands, top class, I wouldn't think twice about booking her again today was just the beginning i hope to shoot with Alicia many more times i am sure we will keep in touch take care sweet x

So, where should I start...

Me and Alicia had two duo shoots over the last two days and it was such a pleasure to work with this beauty! The first shoot was at her place which is simply stunning, nice and elegant!

She's a wonderful model, very confident, amazing at posing and so easy to shoot with!

Alicia was amazingly well prepared with huge variety of outfits for our soft erotica images and I couldn't be any happier with what we have achieved!

This was my first duo with another female model so I was a bit nervous yet very excited at the same time! However despite the fact, we got on very well due to Alicia's lovely personality and attitude to get those best shots!

Today we had our second shoot which was brilliant too! Alicia put a lot of effort into creating another wonderful set of images with me for what I am truly grateful!

I value Alicia's hard work and outstanding efforts so I definitely recommend her to all! She's one of a kind, beautiful inside out!

Very much looking forward to our next shoots together! ♥

A very successful shoot with Alicia yesterday at her apartment/studio. She's a great model - helpful,lively, intuitive ... and a natural. Her uncluttered 18th century apartment is tailor-made for portrait photography: huge south-facing windows, flawless natural light and plain walls. Top marks all round ...

And another amazing shoot from Alicia. This time we were looking to utilise natural light to its advantage including the sunset (what little we have in the winter). Alicia’s drive and passion for the perfect image is intoxicating. She has a relentless drive to continue to push for the best that can be achieved. Her eye for detail and arranging an image is first class often seeing things I miss. The sign of huge experience.

I am constantly challenged and encouraged by Alicia and am already, based on the latest set of images, looking forward to the next shoot.

Where to start with this one? Another first shoot for me and this time with Alicia, I have to say I just love a proper northern lass, down to earth, straight talking, witty and professional to boot. This young lady did not disappoint and very much on my list to repeat

I've just returned from a very enjoyable first shoot with Alicia. I responded to a casting because her general look suits the sort of work I do (you can judge that from her pictures above), and her place in Bath looked a good place to work from. Pre-shoot communications were all good, the place was as good as looked in the casting and I've returned with only good things to say about Alicia. Like most good models she had the ability to build rapport quickly so after a few minutes it felt like we'd worked together for ages instead of just met. She also had the instinct for the right things to do - put those two together and it makes for someone who is easy to work with. Recommendation ? If I say I'm looking forward to working with her again, is that sufficient ?

It's been several months since I last worked with Alicia, and it's always a great pleasure (as well as highly productive!) We've known each other a while, now.

2019 was her year: during those twelve months, she's transformed from very, very good to quite outstanding. A new look, a new seriousness, a new location.

For the first time ever, we shot at my house - I hope it won't be the last time we work here.

She's got it. You need it in your portfolio. Trust me!

Reasons why my shoot with Alicia was great:

1) She got the brief - I wanted to do a naturalistic shoot which required quite different posing to the things she normally does. I've had so many models that don't have the versatility to do anything different to their usual pose.

2) She has natural beauty - It was down to chance but Alicia didn't apply ANY makeup for the shoot. Although this was not planned it was perfect and really added to what I wanted from the shoot. Although her glamorous look is great, there is a softness and girlishness to her without makeup. She only had one spot that needed editing out but otherwise I've not spent time editing blemishes.

3) She is a photographer - It makes the photographer's job much easier when the model understands lighting. She also let me try one of her lenses and this made me switch to my older zoom lens. This turned out to be a really good move as my original lens had a larger aperture and I hadn't realised how shallow my depth of field had been which was spoiling many of the shots.

4) She has made a really good "studio" - She chose the flat for it's photographic potential: size, period features, windows, and views. She has furnished it stylishly and with things that are useful and flexible during shoots.

This was a really important shoot for me as it represents a departure from my normal style and working habits. I knew that what Alicia offered was exactly what I needed for the shoot and why I was willing to wait when I couldn't get a shoot in December. Thanks Alicia!

Had a wonderful third full-length shoot with my ongoing mentor and muse, the ever-lovely Alicia. This time we focused (if you'll excuse the pun) on art nudes and a good range of general fashion shots, taking in some portraits along the way. We started in good light and moved through dusk into darkness, giving me good opportunities to put what she's recently taught me about camera settings into practice in a range of lighting conditions. When the light faded Alicia was extremely helpful in explaining how to set up her softbox and LED lights, and how to position them in relation to where she and I both were in order to get the best from them, avoiding unwanted shadows in the background and getting the light falling in just the right way on her face, especially in lighting up her beautiful blue eyes. It's all quite a delicate dance to perform to get it just right, and she's definitely mastered the art of it so for any beginner such as myself she's a blessing to around :-)

My shoot plan was less specific this time, thereby giving free rein to Alicia's boundless creative instincts, yielding some amazing inspirations. She truly loves what she does, and her joy at playing a part in creating the best possible images shines through in her unflagging efforts during a shoot. Alicia is a fabulous model (beautiful, energetic and always willing to give it her all), an excellent photographer herself (which ensures her constant stream of ideas are always likely to photograph well) and an all-round lovely, happy, kind and warm-hearted human being who it is a pleasure to spend time with on a shoot. I greatly admire and respect her on all fronts and am proud to have had this opportunity to work with her again. I'm thrilled to have more shoots planned with her for the future. The only negative thing to say (though it isn't really, of course...) is that she's going to be a hard act to follow when I'm ready to find someone else to work with ;-)

Ok, I've run out of superlatives (until next time!). Book her now -- you won't regret it!

Just had a splendid start to the New Year in the shape of an impromptu shoot with Alicia today -- brief, but very helpful in preparing things for our next proper shoot in a few days time.

In previous shoots I've been struggling to get my camera set up correctly to get pictures as crisp as I would like, so today Alicia took the bull by the horns herself and helped me get the right settings to achieve the best results, double-checking the outcomes were as desired on her laptop as we went along :-) She also kindly let me try out her own camera and various lenses so I could get a feel for the differences they make.

It's great having such a super model also being able to assist a beginner photographer such as myself in getting some really good quality pictures, and I can't recommend her enough. Really looking forward to putting what I've learned into practice for real soon :-)

What can I say? I finally got to shoot with Alicia over the festive period. She managed to find time in her busy schedule for me: (thanks Alicia).

This time we managed to create some stunning images at her wonderful studio, working up a number of different themes we had been discussing over the last month.

Great shoot the other day in Alicia's beautiful Georgian flat!

Alicia is a fun, bubbly person with lots of ideas. A budding photographer gerself she is keen to talk cameras and lighting etc. She brings her own ideas but also happy to shoot to a plan/moodboard. The shoot went quick and we where blessed with an amazing sunny day and the most beautfiul golden hour sunlight.

Highly recommend to shoot with 🤗

A superb shoot with Alicia at her Bath apartment / Studio, a dull overcast day meant the light was very diffused and soft, the huge Georgian windows allowed loads of light into the flat, we needed to deploy some flash to balance out the shadows, particularly as we worked further into the room

Alicia posed elegantly, she had some ideas of her own making the best of the props along with some I'd brought in, the apartments ideal for photography and is clean with virtually no clutter.

A slight hiccup with a delay in the start time, but overall a stunning shoot with both Alicia and her apartment.
