Had another fabulous remote shoot with Alicia today! I was blown over by the amazing detail and resolution in the pictures from her Z7 last time and couldn't resist coming back for more of the same, not to mention more of her own multi-faceted talents too :-)

We made good use of further items from Alicia's array of stunning hand-made lingerie and this time progressed from the elegant living room into the beautifully appointed kitchen for some different looks, helped along with a beauty dish for the perfect light. I'm still a novice at lighting set-ups with artificial lights, so whilst we'll hopefully be back to 1:1 shooting before long and I can resume learning more about doing it myself, for now having Alicia do it all for me remotely made it all very easy and we were able to work more quickly than I could possibly have done myself in person!

Along with her superb technical knowledge in how to get great shots (which I hope is slowly rubbing off on me ;-)), Alicia also has a ridiculous amount of energy and enthusiasm which it is always a joy to be around. Together with her matchless good looks ("beauty like what no one else has got," to coin a phrase!) she makes the perfect model to be doing remote shoots with :-)

Our TeamViewer ventures still haven't even reached the bedroom yet, but we intend to do just that in our third instalment, which is already booked in :-) Hopefully I'll know the whole place inside out by the time we can finally (hopefully!) get back to working together in person from mid-April (which we may also have booked already...!). I'm really happy that we've been able to continue our shoots together like this in spite of everything. Lockdown hasn't beaten us! We're becoming a better team with every shoot, even remote ones, and even remotely I'm still learning a ton of tricks from Alicia and hopefully becoming a better photographer myself ;-)

Impatience got the better of me today, and I couldn't resist hooking up with my favourite modelling muse for my third remote shoot :-)

This was the first time I've shot remotely with someone I've previously worked with 1:1 and it was interesting to see how the two experiences measure up. Meeting Alicia virtually through the wonders of the internet was in obvious ways very different to the shoots we've done in the past, but in other ways it was very much business as usual - the same infectious enthusiasm, endless spontaneous posing and inspired ideas as I've previously enjoyed from her in person.

TeamViewer did a good job of the screen sharing, and I was quickly at home using digiCamControl to take the shots, despite never having used either software before. The pictures were delivered soon after the shoot was finished, and it's great to finally have some of my own shots out of Alicia's amazing Nikon Z7 camera! That's definitely one advantage to remote shooting ;-)

We shot in the living room of her glorious new Georgian apartment in Bath and were blessed with good light. Alicia had an array of beautifully crafted vintage style lingerie available as promised - incredibly all hand-made by herself! She's a many-talented wonder, and clearly hasn't forgotten her photography or modelling skills whilst working for several months on her sewing since she was as brilliant as ever at helping me choose and perfect our shots -- perhaps even more so this time, since she was physically moving the camera around for me this time too!

All in all I can now say for sure that remote shooting compares surprisingly well with the real thing! Hopefully we'll all be back to that in the near future, but in the meantime I would definitely recommend remote shooting to anyone thinking of trying it out, and as ever I would mostly certainly recommend the lovely Alicia for all your photography needs too :-)

Alicia was on my list of models that I wanted to work with. Because of the current conditions working with her did not seem to be possible for a while, but that recently changed when she started to offer remote shoots. Thanks to the advance of remote control software, tethered shooting and live view a photographer at his home can now take photos of a model at her home. Add a communication ( video calling) to the mix and you can actually direct!

While there were some minor technical issues - now and then I experienced a lag - the whole shoot went rather smoothly. Since Alicia knows her way around both as a model and as a photographer (!)only minimal input is necessary. Prior to the shoot we both had some suggestions towards setup and light, and we could easily produce multiple sets of rather nice images.

I had a wonderful remote shoot with Alicia this week. It was my first. Of course we all prefer the real life thing, but I have to say I had a absolutely positive experience here.

First of all Alicia is a star in communication, always responding fast and extensively. From the first messages on I felt a positive vibe. She just moved to this wonderful Georgian house with beautiful details and furniture and great light. She has a lot of equipment to choose from. We did some great shots and I received the raw files the same day. Due to a wonderful 46MP full frame Nikon z7 image quality is great. I had a great experience working with Alicia, absolutely recommended. She has a sweet personality, she knows her posing and her looks.... well, just gorgeous!

My first 'virtual' shoot on a remote basis (isn't technology amazing?!) and quite a surreal experience directing Alicia without 'being there' in person.

The remote control functionality of the tethered camera at Alicia's end worked fine - it took me a couple of shots to get the hang of it / the slight lag over the ether - and we got sharp images as desired, with Alicia checking every now and then to be on the safe side. Alicia knew how to work the natural and artificial lighting in the room and got the gist of the 'look' I was after pretty quickly, allowing us to experiment with a couple of other clothing styles.

She uploaded the RAW files that evening, which I safely downloaded - a quick check confirms nice and sharp and I'm pretty sure I've some good material to tinker with and edit away to get the kind of image I was after.

Thanks Alicia - well adapted to circumstances and remote shooting and, with luck, we may get to work again in 'normal times'.

Yesterday I did my first remote shoot, a relatively short 2 hours with Alicia in her new flat in Bath and it was an interesting experience!

Alicia was brilliant from start to finish, great comms pre and post-shoot, I got the RAW files the same evening via Dropbox.

The shoot itself went fairly smoothly and I am happy with the results, Alicia is both a competent model and photographer who understands light and knows what works.

Once we are out of lockdown prison and able to shoot 1:1 then it's a trip to Bath for me to shoot Alicia in my own style.

Recommended? Hell Yeah! :)

I've just checked when Alicia and I first messaged - September 2015! So I'm guessing this is the longest time between initial contact and first shoot I've ever had. We've chatted now and again, but, for whatever reason, plans haven't materialised. But yesterday they did, and I'm delighted.

There's no point in my saying how great Alicia looks, just take a look at her gazillion images above. She has a characteristic look, to me quite elfin, knows what makeup styles suit her best, poses elegantly, and overall makes your role as photographer relatively easy, in part due to her experience on this side of the lens.

Yesterday we did a relatively short remote shoot with Alicia in her new flat in Bath, me sitting comfortably in Maidenhead. I'm delighted with the results, and we've already discussed our next shoot, again a remote one, hopefully in a few weeks time. I'm also looking forward to persuading Alicia to pop along the M4 to visit the boss and I in sunny Maidenhead when I restart shooting face to face. Alicia has a great range of outfits including vintage style lingerie which she makes herself. That said we didn't really employ too much in the way of clothing in this shoot.

Covid & fate had a big helping hand in bringing Alicia & myself together for a shoot.

I have followed Alicia & been an admirer of her work & port for such a long time, so it was exciting to finally get together for our first shoot.

We made plans for a 4 gel lighting setup & I was excited to see what we could achieve. We worked together to improve each shot, adjusting lighting placement & settings until we were happy with the results.

It was great to work with a model who also has experience both sides of the lens, we were able to discuss technical aspects of each set to achieve some super looks.

Alicia also brought along some Kate Backdrops for us to do some test shots on for Alicia port & I was excited to shoot these, as I love Kate Backdrops.

Alicia also did an eShoot for me recently & you can tell she really knows how to handle a camera & has a great understanding of light.

Really pleased with every aspect of our shoot & work together & I would be delighted if Alicia would work with me again on future shoots.

Top Class 100% recommended.

I had a great privilege to shoot on remote Alicia Black and she is more than a photographer can dream!

Alicia has an astonishing body, beautiful skin, wonderful hair and most of all a “girl next door” -type pretty face which all together make her appearance very classy. Her long experience in modelling emerges especially in her poses which she can do with or with out any instruction. She is a fun girl but same time a model who takes her work seriously. Alicia is a professional model and I highly recommend her to anybody who wants the top quality results for a photo shooting!

I've had Alicia on my "want to work with" list since the start of 2020, but as we all know. The pandemic threw a wrench in me wanting to book her. Until now that is! Alicia's offering remote shoots form her beautiful Georgian apartment in Bath. This is a reference based on a remote shoot from my location (Amsterdam) to her location in the UK (Bath)

Great pre-communication to help plan the shoot and understand how it`ll go. Alicia`s photographic equipment puts my current stuff to shame with a high-resolution Nikon Z7; tethered to a laptop via Digicamcontrol, partnered with a set of fantastic F/1.4 prime lenses. Along with a plethora of light-modifying equipment if necessary.

If you love to shoot natural light like me you`ll have no worries as her apartment gets plenty of it, keeping the iso values down for the crispest of shots. Files were delivered only hrs after the shoot in RAW format.

Alicia herself is a great model to work with. Highly experienced, follows direction well but also can pose herself. She's got a fantastic wardrobe to work with and matched what i had in mind perfectly for this shoot. She`s also a photographer herself and helped me along the shoot with alternate suggestions on how to best utilize the space.

Would recommend the experience for anyone wanting to shoot remotely.

This was my first shoot with Alicia and also my first full one to one remote shoot.

Alicia is excellent to work with. She needs little direction and is full of ideas to make the most of a shoot.

While I'm sure most people (including me) would prefer a traditional "physical" shoot, there are undoubtably benefits to remote shooting. For many during these current weird times remote shoots may well be the only option but in addition to that there's a) no lugging gear about, b) no travelling time, and c) perhaps most beneficial of all, it allows people to work together who otherwise wouldn't be able to simply because they are located too far apart.

So if you want to give remote shoots a go I can highly recommend Alicia. She's a natural model, is great at helping out with the technology at her end, and is an excellent photographer in her own right. And of course, once this Covid stuff is over I'm sure she'd been equally good at face to face shoots.

After a long, patient wait I am thrilled to have finally got another shoot with the lovely and mega-talented Alicia today, and what a fantastic shoot it was too; totally worth waiting for! It's almost exactly a year since my first shoot with Alicia (which was actually my very first shoot ever), during which time I have had a most enjoyable journey and have come a long way (even getting my first FPI recently!), thanks in large part to Alicia's help with so many things in earlier shoots.

This was our sixth time working together, and We devised a careful plan for it, aiming very much for quality over quantity and I think it has paid off after looking through the images. We chose five basic ideas and gave good time to developing each one in turn until we nailed the shots we wanted. We got lucky with the weather too. The day had started out grey and miserable, but it improved about the time we started shooting and we finished up with beautiful autumn evening sun, which we made the most of with an impromptu visit to a lovely nearby park :-)

Alicia came armed with all the stunning outfits that we had agreed upon. Her infectious enthusiasm for what she does has not been dulled by the long months of lockdown, despite the many challenges that life has thrown at her through it all. She's a real trooper, and her grit and determination in not letting life get her down also shines through in her quest for the best results in her work. She never gives up until she's achieved what she set out to do, and I'm blessed that she made it her mission today to get some great shots with me :-) I think these are some of the best images I've captured yet, and it's mostly through Alicia's tireless efforts that I'm becoming more consistent in getting shots like these.

She's always such a joy to work with and truly has a good heart and soul to still be so kind and generous towards others after the difficult times she's been having this year. Needless to say she's just as beautiful with striking blonde hair as she was previously with a more brunette look, and her lovely new apartment is a great excuse (as if any were needed...!) to want to visit her again ;-) 100% recommended, as always, and I'm already looking forward to next time... :-)

We blasted through a wide range of sets again. Alicia eye for light and a Body that plays in the light is a dream to shoot.

We both had a great time being creative with the spaces were used.

I love the way Alicia goes from pose to pose with grace.
