I have had another couple of shoots at Kempston Studio recently culminating in a long session today with the stunning Rebecca Perry.

Andy is always able to come up with the perfect lighting arrangement whatever theme we are shooting, and is very willing to make suggestions for improvement or come up with novel ideas and variations. He has an amazing eye for creating a stunning image and I always appreciate his advice re camera angles etc and the numerous other ways he has for continually improving the image and his enthusiasm for helping out in any way possible. Today for example he wound up holding lights and a backdrop in position among other things and came up with improvements of some of the props I had brought.

He is great fun to work with and the models all seem to appreciate his easy-going and friendly approach – and they always get well looked after! It always creates a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere to work in and I am certain that the models are better able to produce their best work if they are comfortable, safe and relaxed.

It is always an immensely educational experience for me and I am never quite sure what he will come up with next – only that it is likely to be very creative, make the shoot more interesting and produce even better images. OTOH if you prefer to be left alone to get on with it yourself he is very happy to accommodate that too. Thanks Andy!

I already have several more shoots booked in for the very near future.

I have been modelling across the globe for nine years and I can honestly say that Andy (the studio owner) is one of the most welcoming and nicest people you can meet in the industry.

I cannot recommend the studio enough! Truly superb inside and out. The space is very versatile to work in.

An excellent space and I always felt so fully looked after from the moment I arrived to leaving.

I already look forward to my next visit :-)

Wow! This was the first proper studio I've shot at and it did not disappoint. Andy keeps the place at a nice warm temperature and the set has a welcoming and professional atmosphere. It has so many sets and options you can let your imagination run wild and get some amazing pictures.

Andy was amazing and made me and my partner feel very comfortable. It was my partner's first time modeling and Andy was supportive and had great feedback and suggestions as well as good directions in terms of posing. I would recommend the studio and Andy a million times over. Thanks for a great experience!

Good gosh what a place!

The studio is the unsung hero in the awesome photo session and Kempston Studio - wonderfully hosted by Andy - is yet further proof the great spaces underpin great shoots!

A myriad of sets across the space, all the lighting one could possibly want (and I’m one of those imagists who always wants more!), superbly assisted and problem solved, and super in the coffee dept too!

It’s a bit of a trek but I’m confident I’ll be returning at some point!

100% recommended 100 times over!

I just love love love it here! Andy trusted me to have a studio day at this brilliant studio. Andy promotes his studios days with pure perfection and kept in touch whilst it sold out!

I had a brilliant day shooting. Andy has to be one of the best studio owners (no really he is) He makes sure everyone has everything they need from lighting to coffee's to even going out to get me some honey for my tea (no diva moments promise) It was a lovely gesture and made for an even better day than it was. I wont even mention Andy going outside to clean the bird feathers off my car from an unfortunate situation with a bird and my car on the way to the studio.

It is without a doubt Andy goes above and beyond with great banter and lovely relationships with regular photographers and how welcoming to any new ones.

I can't wait to visit the studio again I know...I am sure the feeling is mutual haha.

An impressive, equipped studio, with charming set-ups giving lots of artistic freedom.

Andy was an excellent host who attends to your every need and also a friendly guy who communicates fast and efficiently. He is on hand, should any assistance be needed but equally is happy to leave you to work alone should you prefer.

I would highly recommend anyone to come here. Whether you’re a seasoned professional on the lookout for the perfect space to shoot your next project or a beginner who wants to experiment with studio photography, this is the place to come.

I did my first shoot at KS today and am really glad I did. The studio is versatile with a number of shooting options and props to compliment those shooting areas. Andy was on hand to help with lighting, scene set-ups and making the odd cuppa. Otherwise Andy left me to my ow devices. Because of the looks I was aiming for, I only used to of the sets on site so the option of returning to utilise the rest is really appetising. I look forward to shoot at Kempston Studio again.

I shot today at Kempston studio with Andy the studio owner. I had a fantastic day there!

The studio was warm and welcoming, as was Andy! I had my own privacy with a highly stocked changing room full of props and costumes and A constant flow of tea refills :)

There were sets upon sets available with hidden walls and backdrops everywhere!!! It was so good and I really look forward to using it again soon hopefully!!

Had an absolute blast shooting with Andy last week.

The studio is very well prepared with many sets and props, Andy had very vast knowledge of the equipment and the best way to achieve the shots he had in mind.

Besides the technical knowledge, he was an absolute star to work with - so chatty and fun, the tea and refreshments were flowing and I struggled to keep the smile off my face!

Could not recommend enough and really hope to work together in the future

Another great shoot at the Kempston Studio Roxy Mendez Studio Day. As before, Andy was on hand to set up the studio furniture and lights and to offer advice when needed. Coffee was a-plenty, and the atmosphere was relaxed and very friendly. I would unreservedly recommend Kempston Studio to any photographers and to models wishing to host a model day. Thanks Andy, it was a pleasure to shoot again at your studio. See you in 2022!

Andy was always on hand and exceptionally helpful, assisting with lights, set preparation, advice and plenty of coffee and chocolates. Had a great shoot here with Caitlyn J. As always Andy was on hand at all times helping in every way from setting up lights, advising on camera angles and ways to improve images, finding amazing pieces in the studio wardrobe and always creating a friendly and light-hearted atmosphere which makes the session enjoyable and productive.

Oh, and he makes endless cups of coffee and everything else!

He can always suggest ways of improving the image and plenty of suggestions for alternatives and new ideas - which I find incredibly helpful.

But if you prefer he will leave you to your own devices quite happily.

Always a great pleasure to work here - and most definitely very highly recommended.

Had my first shoot at Andy’s studio today and I’m sure it will not be my last. The studio was easy to book with parking right outside the door, it was warm and tidy with many sets available. A wide variety of both constant and flash lighting is here with Andy giving good lighting advice and getting the sets ready.

If you are looking for a warm comfortable studio I would recommend giving Kempston Studio a try.

Had another shoot here with Miss Diamond Sparkle on her studio day.

From the start Andy set the tone with new ideas and the never-ending banter between the three of us - making it a very fun and enjoyable shoot.

He is also great with suggestions for image ideas and expert advice on how to obtain the best images - and he sets up the most detailed and excellent lighting arrays. We had various coloured gels with reflective umbrellas and bounced light and a variety of other expert set-ups.

And he is always willing to help out with anything else - like tipping showers of Doritos among other strange objects onto the poor model (long story!) Anything for a great image!

Always great fun and amazing images. I am already booked to return several times in the future.

Definitely very highly recommended.

I can honestly say that Andy is a super duper passionate studio owner! I did a studio day here (8 hours) and Andy helped produce incredible images for all the photographers...

Always a pleasure shooting at Kempston, it's become my Go-To studio for the area. Andy is always so helpful & it is such a great friendly environment to shoot in. I've lost count of how many times I have shot there, but I am sure I will be back again very soon!

And one last point that photographers should note, there is parking right by the door! So no lugging "stuff" from a car park "down the road"! Awesome! :-)

I had my third photo shoot in as many months at Kempston Studio today, this time with Roxy M. It's difficult not repeat my previous references. Andy, the studio owner, has created a great place with seemingly never-ending creative possibilities. Andy himself is super helpful and really knows how to get the best out of his studio - knowledge which he is more than happy to share.

If you get a chance you really should visit this studio for a shoot. Highly recommended.
