I feel sooooo much regret to have gotten this far behind with references... Life got in the way in several ways last year and then we all just seemed to blink - and here we are! But the Yorkshire lass stubbornness in me refuses to disregard the terrific encounters I had in the year when models were building themselves back up after the devastation of the pandemic. It was a strange time, but also a joyous time because creativity could thrive once more! And it was during this time that I enjoyed my first ever shoot at the fantastic Kempston Studio! 🤩📷

It was really nice to see Andy again - we had worked together years ago when he was just doing shoots as a photographer himself. And now; to see him doing so well in a fantastic new shooting space that he himself works hard to bring nice experiences for other members of the community... Fair play! 😊 You've done a tremendous job fella, and Kemptson Studio is definitely a place I hope to shoot at again in the future. It's a studio with a great deal of set variety, great lighting facilities, all your creature comforts like refreshments on tap. Andy has got everything so well and it shows with how busy the place is. 👌

During my time at Kempston there were a whole range of concepts and looks made possible amid the different shooting areas: from classic art nude to dreamy glamour and even bodyscapes with oil and and water. I feel even then only the surface was scratched in terms of what was possible. But my super lovely photographer and I really had the best time working on specific looks and getting top quality results of the ideas we did shoot - and Andy's contribution as a studio owner/host always willing to help and having everything to hand played a big part in that success. He clearly had a great relationship with his clients and a totally "can do" attitude no matter what different photographer and models shooting preferences may be.

I had my own generous space in the studio to change, sort outfits out and make any alterations to my makeup. This is a big plus since most of us are guilty of our whole suitcases just exploding as we work through the shoot changing styles.🙊 It's really nice to be given a decent space for this and not have to struggle - this is worth noting for duo shoots as well where more than one model may be working. Between sets there was delicious herbal tea on offer as well; to be honest the whole atmosphere and the way I was looked after was the cherry on top of a venue which already ticked the box in offering ideal photo shooting conditions. 🙌 You are of course on the look out for a studio which is going to do your shoot justice from the creative and technical side of things... But from a models perspective (especially when you are run ragged on a tour) being made to feel like your safety, comfort and working conditions matter are a big deal and something we always talk about to each other when comparing shoot venues. 🙂

Safe to say that Andy has got everything so right with Kempston. I had the nicest shoot here and I do hope it's not too long before I can come back!

Had a shoot here with the lovely Keira Lavelle.

As always Andy was instrumental in making this a striking success.

From making Keira welcome and comfortable to setting up sets and perfect lighting arrays and suggesting props and improvements at every stage of the way he made sure that the shoot was a great success - important when you have one of the most versatile and sought after models at your collaboration.

The shoot was an enormous success - in no small part due to Andy's constant attention to detail, and to keeping everything running smoothly and making certain that the images were a success.

It was an amazing shoot and I think Keira enjoyed it - I certainly did and we got some fantastic images.

I keep rebooking studio days here...why? Because I bloody love it here...4th one today...

Andy always looks after me with plenty of tea and making sure it is warm enough...

He always makes the shoots really fun here adding extra ideas to create amazing shots...

Nailed it today thanks to Andy helping us (always goes way above what is expected)...

The studio itself is perfect with so many different backdrops etc...

Only my second time at Kempston and already my favourite studio. Partaking of one of the planned studio days, with Gems MDS, I had sent Andy a brief idea of my plans beforehand and he had got the studio set up perfectly. The perfect balance of helpful assistance without being a nuisance or overbearing. Very knowledgeable and assisted greatly in the success of my first foray into GOBOs and gels. Thanks Andy.

This was my first time at Kempston studios & it certainly won’t be last time, I’m already booked for a studio day this April & I'm really looking forward to it! It’s a great studio with very good use of the space for different sets with a brilliant model space. Andy is extremely friendly & chatty, he makes you feel comfortable straight away & it’s a very positive work space to be in! Thanks Andy :)

Organised Chaos

I have now booked Kempston Studios 4 times obviously the fact the studio has a cornucopia of abundant sets,pieces a model can use,a fully enclosed changing area for the model to change in,tea,coffe,water (bottled),coca cola (canned),pc for editing,so many lights & backdrops it really is the studio as parking out front of the road & heating it is warm & I know I have not used any other studios but why be cold 😲.

The real biggest bonus is Andy the studio owner who is always welcoming,friendly,always there in his office to ask for help & indeed in my shoots continually show me camera settings, lighting & editing he really goes that extra mile for those using the studio to the point where he truly does help me to become better in all aspects of photography.

I also really like the model studio days & be is genuinely helpful kind & considerate of others 👏.

I had another brilliant couple of days shooting at Kempston Studio. As always, Andy was warm, accommodating and so helpful in each of the shoots.

This studio is somewhere I can never tire of working. There is simply so much to do here and it’s always such a pleasure and a laugh I always want to come back.

Andy lends his creativity and expertise and is so efficient with changing sets so a variety is possible in a 2 hour slot.

This studio has got to be a favourite for me, and I shall keep returning as long as Andy is happy to have me 😊

Organised Chaos

This was my 3rd time using Kempston Studio & it was again the best possible experience I could have asked for.

Andy is a very engaging thoroughly enjoyable person to be around so because Andy has tremendous people skills you feel happy at the studio & also Andy will always give advice when asked but also as Andy will help by showing you camera settings,light everything really you could ask for as well as great coffee it is a really relaxed place to be in & as I asked Andy about my images Andy pointed out the white balance setting was not set correctly on my camera.

This is what makes me want to use Kempston Studio again & well more because Andy has it in his nature to help you become a better photographer,he gels well with all from pbotographer,models & has also found a MUA for me for some upcoming shoots.

In all this studio is not just merely value for money it is a most impressive place to have your studio experience because of Andy.

Andy's built up quite a reputation, and my full day in his studio merely confirmed it all.

I had three shoots throughout the day. Andy assisted, guided and did everything to make sure it went as well as possible. Oh - and the coffee.

Andy was a true gent with my models. Lauret already knew about Kempston Studio. Lady-Viper was very enthusiastic. I had a couple for a maternity shoot who were new to all of this, and Andy was on hand to help make them comfortable.

I'll definitely be using the studio again.

Kempston Studio comes very much recommended.

Andy is always prompt to provide what we needed and the atmosphere is very very nice!!! Lovely warm greeting from Andy upon my arrival then really helpful setting up the amazing sets he has, amazing use of space very nice studio very clean and tidy lots of equipment if you need it he probably has hit something that really needs mentioning is the toilets were extremely clean and fresh and stocked I really could have stayed shooting for the rest of the day and night i will be booking again asap.

Andy has so many resources at kempston studio and always makes me feel so comfortable. He always gives me direction when needed and always captures amazing images of me. Had my first shoot in Kempston studio and I loved every second of it! When I arrived Andy made me feel really comfortable and showed me some examples of sets we could work on and inspiration for different shoots we could try.

The studio itself is really well equipped and has so many possibilities for different backdrops and Andy was great at changing things around so each set looked completely different to the last.

A really nice changing area with lots of outfits provided that you can add to your own outfits to really improve the shot. Andy was amazing at suggesting different outfits to match the backdrops he picked and everything just worked so perfectly.

Andy gave me loads of new poses to try out and I am so happy with how much I got out of the day!

The hours flew by and I didn't want to leave, had such a buzz after.

Andy kindly drove me home after as well and just made the whole experience a dream.

The only hard part is now I have to pick my favourite images out of so many amazing shots!

Had my first shoot at kempston studios today.

Andy greeted me with a warm welcome, and introduced me to Michelle Chelsea, the model I would be shooting.

He then helped me familiarise myself with the studio set up, lights etc, he knows his stuff!!

I only had a two hour slot, but with Andy’s knowledge and help moving furniture, props etc,

I managed seven different sets, he’s always on hand if you need help.

A genuine nice guy with a fantastic studio that has endless shooting possibilities.

I highly recommend kempston studios, I will be booking the studio in the not too distant future.

Another great shoot at Kempston Studio today on the Georgia Brown and Bethany April duo day. As usual, Andy was on hand to set the backgrounds and build the sets, and to offer useful advice. I shot natural light at the studio for a couple of sets..which is not something that I often do, and Andy's advice was superb. I came away from our session with some really beautiful images that the models also liked. Thanks, Andy, another super session at your studio. Kempston Studio is well recommended to any photographer and model.
