References for Katie Johnson Hair and Makeup Artist

I had the great privilege to have Katie doing hair and make up on my shoot today. So glad I did. I wanted something very particular with hair which she nailed. The make up was also brilliant with some of her suggestions turning a great look into a fantastic one. Added to which I asked a lot of her (including making some outfit amendments, help with setting up, and even trying to get my smoke machine to work - which she did). She took all this in her stride. Lovely to have around. Great communication. Fantastic hair and make up. Already begging her to work with me again :-)

Could not be more recommended.

2nd themed shoot with Katie yesterday and partly inspired by her own gory imagination where we had a psychopathic Priest terrorising a pregnant housewife. Katie is a superb communicator and the pre shoot planning was detailed leaving nothing to chance.

Her can do attitude and professional approach make her a joy to work with. The most important thing however is that her work both with make up and hair is exemplary.

I cannot praise Katie highly enough. I will definitely work with her again.

Worked with Katie on a project yesterday. Her creative take on my initial ideas was perfect and the make up for the shoot was stunning! Her Communication prior to the shoot was clear and gave me great confidence. She is no fuss and undoubtedly very, very good at what she does.

Katie was committed to the project and was able to give invaluable creative help on the day.

To top it off she is a thoroughly nice person too! I hope to work with her again soon.

I worked with Katie yesterday on a pin up shoot. She was very flexible, did two different hair looks for me and touched up my make up a lot around my drinking! I loved the results she offered, brilliant up dos that fitted the pin up style and make up to match. Her bag of tricks seemed to be endless! She is also really easy to get on with and made me feel comfy between shoots helping me out with my clothing issues! Thanks Katie :) highly recommended!

I brought Katie in on a shoot with a brand new model and as always she was fabulous.

she is really such a lovely lady, who knows exactly what she is doing.

She even agreed to do a very quick second make up look on myself (so i could jump in front of the camera) as well which was a sweet thing to do and despite the lack of time she did a lovely job.

This girl is so talented absolutely fab to work with and stuck it out even in horrible temperatures and wind. Did a pin up and swim wear shoot and the make up she did was just beautiful and the hair! Just wow this was my second shoot with Katie and already have a 3rd! So looking forward to it! Highly recommend!

I had the amazing opportunity to work with Katie on a recent body paint shoot for charity, she made me feel extremely comfortable which was so helpful, especially with the compromise position i was in! She went the extra mile for her design work which turned out beautiful! I would definitely recommend working with this lady,

I worked with Katie last week on a shoot she created two distinct looks, both to a high standard that made life very easy when it came to post processing.

Communications before the shoot were very good and she arrived early to allow discussion.

I would certainly recommend her and hope to work together again in the future.

Worked with Katie and her partner recently on a fairy tale style shoot.

The make up was lovely and she was very friendly and considerate of the freezing conditions!

She had made the corset costumes I was wearing which were also lovely.

Would be a pleasure to work with her again on one of her many exciting ideas!!

Have a shoot with Katie, arrived in Basingstoke and was prompt and quickly for the makeup done in a location shoot (harsh weather) for that I'm grateful. Pre coms was good an was easy to sort information across. Stayed to do touch ups and done a good job. Will hopefully work with Katie again.

Had a pinup shoot on the 19th with katie she arrived on time and was well orgainsed she was very friendly knew what she wanted to do with my hair and was very creative with makeup, it was my first time having this done and i must say i was taken away by her amazing expertise i would 'Highly recommend A*** katie to anyone :-D......would like to work with again in the near future xx

we did a photo shoot with Katie in Southampton area on Saturday. Nothing is difficult for her, she is amazingly creative, knows how to create unique make up styles, and understands fully what is needed without much direction. She created this unique make up for me as a black swan in a gothic version, my own and made my vision a reality. Apart from that she is an amazing person, very friendly and helped throughout the whole shoot especially me as i was freezing to death due to my outfit incorporating not so much material, and she kept wrapping a blanket around me to make sure i am warm as i was shaking from the cold. I am glad the images turned out amazing as i would feel bad if they did not due to me being so cold. She is in my eyes one of the best, and the best i have worked with so far as a make up artist,creative, imaginative, unique, with a good personality, professional and attentive to every detail. I would recommend her to anyone and for sure i would put her as my number one on my list for my make up!! I went to work with the look you created for me and everyone absolutely loved it Katie. Thank you for sharing that amazing experience with me.

I was fascinated to watch Katie’s transformation of Larangella into the Black Swan, swapping ideas and then working them through to a polished conclusion. Very good pre-shoot communications, and the sense of confidence from that was boosted on first sight of the enormous boxes of equipment and materials she brought on the shoot. Completely professional, dependable and reliable; highly recommended.
