Had a great first shoot with Katie today. I have to admit to having had little to do with the planning of the shoot, so was really delighted when Katie and Lu had sorted pretty much exactly the look we were going for. Not only did Katie do a great job of a fairly extreme make up concept, but did so with great humour, and more will be welcome assisting me on any shoot she chooses in future, she's an absolute dab hand with a reflector. I look forward to working with Katie in future

Had an awesome shoot with Katie today...she is a dream to work with. She executed the ideas we had in a fantastic way. The looks she made from beginning to end were superb and spot on for what the concept needed to portray.

Katie has a great sense of humour and is highly professional at what she does. Her pre shoot communications were excellent, bouncing ideas to and from and throwing in a lot of her own ideas too.

The outcome was superb :D

Highly highly recommended. Hope to work with her again in the future.

I worked with Katie a few times now and will be throughout this year with Portrait X. As usual she gets better and better with her makeup and hair. Even though there was no power in the middle of a castle ground. She worked with what she had and it still looked beautiful and naturally. Can't wait for the next shoot! It was a real treat to be working with Katie again. She is punctual, and completely dependable. With excellent pre-shoot communications, as always, I knew I would be in safe hands.

She worked quickly in a make-shift space to produce a look that both the model and I were very happy with. And managed a quick mid shoot transformation too.

Oh WOW is all i can say. I worked with Katie on a Candy inspired shoot friday and she did not disappoint! The make up & hair was AMAZING. This is the second time I had worked with Katie on a Harley Quinn project and this time it was a much bigger project with a full body paint - Poison Ivy. She was just as professional the second time round. She was quick with her communication and with the make up (considering it was a full body paint). She took every instruction without question. I didn't really have to do anything. She had everything arranged and arrived promptly. She stayed for the duration of the shoot.

The make up was incredible and I am so very happy with the results. I am very grateful to her and I would recommend her to anyone.

Katie did my hair and make up for a shoot yesterday and she was great! She works really quickly and we got through quite a few different looks. The make up and hair styling was spot on and Katie was so professional and friendly during the day. I would very highly recommend booking Katie for any creative shoot!

Katie helped out on a major studio shoot I was doing yesterday. Her pre shoot comms were first class and on the day she turned up bang on time. Katie worked really quickly and accurately, which I really appreciated as it allowed us to get through a lot of sets. Her work all day was excellent and she is a lovely person to work with as well. I would highly recommend Katie to any photographer looking for a thoroughly professional make up artist ( and her work on the models hair was excellent as well ).

I recently worked with the brilliant Katie at Lyon studio with the lovely model Holly Alana.

Katie's communication pre-shoot was excellent; she even recommended a studio to me and not only that but she re-arranged her schedule so that she could do the make up and hair styling for the model.

Her make-up and hair styling skills are brilliant and her interpretation of the shots the model and I wanted to create were just perfect. Apart from being very professional, with expert skills in both make-up and hair styling she is such a lovely person and I'm looking forward to when we can work together again. Highly recommended to all photographers and models. Thank you so much Katie. You're a star.

If her portfolio alone doesn't astound you, Katie herself will. With an MUA as professional, lovely and talented as Katie any shoot is sure to glide by smoothly and create some incredible results. Katie Johnson Hair and Makeup artist really was the whole package with her ability to create different looks, provide excellent products, be patient during the shoot and during the changes we made and much more. Katie is just phenomenal, she really knows her stuff and working with her on our Jack Frost shoot in 2014 really showed me just how make up changes a person in an image. She completely re sculpts peoples faces and makes them into a character that is dead on what is needed from the brief. Incredible person to work alongside and will not hesitate to work with her again in the future.

I worked with Katie on a TFP shoot with Chai and she was able to create the looks that Chai had suggested in her mood boards and I was really happy with the results, nothing was too much trouble and she was a pleasure to have in the studio. My only complaint would be she did not eat enough of the biscuits which meant that I had to!! I would recommend her to one and all.

Had a Halloween theme photoshoot with Katie as the MUA, came well prepared for a location shoot, arrived and started strate away, fantastic work and creative with the theme, worked quickly but to a very high standard, had great fun and laughs,
