References for Karen Smalley photography

Though I've met Karen before, today was the first time she'd attended a workshop that I've run.

She's full of ideas, knows her equipment well, and always has a line or two to keep the conversation flowing.

And she seems to be willing to try just about anything, just to see how the pictures turn out - a valuable approach to expanding portfolios and knowledge.

Well what a pleasure it was working once again with Karen here is a photographer who can capture the magic as she sees it .

This is now my second shoot with this brilliant photographer and it won't be the last .

I can't wait to see the final images I know they will be awesome.

Karen is an absolute hoot, and if you have not had the opportunity to work with her yet, you are truly missing out! She is very particular with her work, and has a passion for making sure each image is just how she likes it - which is exactly how i like to work. She has a large wardrobe of dresses and costumes (which easily competes with mine!) ranging from wedding dresses, to 1920's dresses to wings and masks, so is definitely one to call up on if you have a specific idea.

Not only is she a great photographer, but she's a wonderful human being - very funny, easy to chat with and is incredibly thoughtful. Truly a beautiful soul!

Another shoot with Karen, this time accompanied by 2 other photographers as well as my work wife, Kay.

One thing I love about Karen is she loves a challenge. The lighting at the location was not the easiest to work with, but she was eager to learn how to adjust her style to suit where we were working and was full of ideas even before we had stepped through the door.

We also worked with an abundance of exotic animals, and she was so gentle with them. It was a pleasure to see.

She worked with both the other photographers so easily and was very happy to share her ideas, but was also a pleasure to work 1-2-1 with.

I cant wait to create more with Karen, she is so much fun to work with!

Highly recommended once more!

I met Karen at a wonderful group shoot in a stunning location as she was the organiser of this fantastic event. She is such a nice and friendly lady, made me feel very welcome at her event straight away. She also took some pictures of me which I really loved, one even so much that it was my fb profile picture for a while. :) She sent finished pictures over to e really quickly and made sure all the models and photographers who were taking part in this shoot got their images and credits. What a fantastic person with a real passion and love for what she is doing! I honestly can't recommend Karen enough, looking forward attending more of her events in the future.

I've known Karen now for awhile and she has become my photographic partner on shoots and her very well worked group shoots.

She always makes shoots pass with fun and laughter but can be serious as well. She is a great person who has a even bigger heart and I feel lucky to call her my sparing partner.

It was such a pleasure to meet and work with Karen at a studio day that I was hosting at Far Forest Studio with the amazing Retro Rob.

Karen is such fun and so easy to work with - the two hours just flew by!

We worked really productively together as a team, sharing and trying out some new ideas. Karen is totally open minded to trying out new stuff and we got some superb shots!

I really hope to work with Karen again and highly recommend her!
