I have a passion for Old Hollywood style lighting

from Ruth Harriet Louise, to Clarence Sinclair Bull and George Hurrell.

Their influence permeate our cult to modern times. Think how many have copied the Queen look in Bohemian Rhapsody.

That look came from Mick Rock(photographer) who recently had seen Marlene Dietrich's Shanghai Express.

Think Bowie'sHunky Dory and Garbo's images by Sinclair Bull.

Soft boxes produce beautiful light, but hard light from fresnels are timeless and still have a place in imagery.
