3rd attempt. Fabulous shoot with the very talented Dominika. Lots of good (we think so) shots, chat and a laugh or two along the way. Dominika is a fabulous model and person, time just whizzed by. She has the ability to change her look with the simplest adjustment to expression or posture. The results are dramatic.

This is my ninth reference for Dominika for our ninth photoshoot.

On Thursday 21st December 2023 for 2 hours.

A second shoot down the City Docks, Bristol. Communications were simplicity itself.

All planned and booked for a 9:30am start.

Rendezvoused at Princes Wharf and Dominika arrived with a big wave.

Even said “Thank you for booking me,” twice, most kind of her.

A Beautiful Kind Soul! I am always In mind of her as a Blond Polar Bear. My oldest friend is a polar bear, Charles!

Almost 5 years now.

Why do I keep photographing Dominika?

Consistency on a shoot. Guaranteed results and a most enjoyable time doing so. Always.

Excellent and timely communications, certainty she will respond. Talkative too. Even though English is not her first language, perfectly understandable I find, written or spoken.

Immaculate turnout and a Signature Style and Look. Red lipstick and Gold Eyeshadow, perfectly suiting, as is her Figure.

A lovely, graceful poise and movement and very expressionist. Especially her eyes, they are the Window to the Soul and I am always lost in them.

I still can’t think what colour her eyes are.

A lovely time, walking around the City Docks, Bristol which we both know well.

I am not concerned with stats and sizes. If I want to photograph someone I will!

To quote Coco Chanel

“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”

“You can be gorgeous at thirty, charming at forty and irresistible for the rest of your life.”

There is a lovely flow when photographing, location, shoot, check back of camera and onto the next location, all the while chatting away, tips and ideas too.

A perfectionist in a good way to get results. A very fine Photographer and Artist too. Every shoot is a collaboration.

If you are the sort that is obsessed by stats and sizes, you would be missing out on one of the finest models there is.

Dominika is Bristol’s answer to Twiggy!

Impossible I find to take a bad photograph of her. Wherever the location, whatever the light. Any outfit.

You will have understood by now I think very highly of her!

Total professional and I could never get bored photographing her.

I more than just recommend Dominika, Muse, Photographer and Artist.

As a Model, one of those you must photograph.

A Beautiful and very Special lady indeed.

I look forward to photographing her again for our 10th shoot.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dominika yet again: on this occasion at the Liva Room Studio in Bristol which Domi recommended. She also made all the booking arrangements and her pre-shoot comms and timings on the day were spot on.

Essentially, we worked on three themes in different parts of the studio: boudoir, involving a sensational flouncy dress: lifestyle day wear; red evening wear. THe outfit for each we selected fom a big range on offer at Liva Room.

Domi modelled to her usual highly professional standard, delivering captivating poses with a range of different moods. She was rewardingly interactive and great fun (great looks and legs also, by the way !) We have a very satisying set of images from this shoot which I trust she will love as much as I do.

So thank you Domi for another productive shoot. I so enjoy working with you.

You are Highly Recommended, as always.

Went on photographic 'walkabout' in the city of Bath with the lovely DominikaW.

Did a outdoor location shoot with her in Bristol, she did one with me in Bath.

Met her at railway station, returned there hours later, after going a distance.

'Walked' through contemporary, Georgian, medieval Bath, buildings, parks, etc.

Visited the known places and not so known areas, small parks behind tall builds.

Good interaction, conversation Dom understood what I wanted in regard something.

Suggested possible, alternates depending where we were, close up, portraits.

Knew what she likes when she viewed the images on the back, I already knew that.

Mostly exterior, buildings, parks, streets, shop windows, tourist, quiet spots.

While on a 'coffee break' got some interesting social, casual interior shots,

What she wore there, differed to the one she had began the walk in, changed her.

Dom as a photo model knows how to 'blend' by how she looks, what she wears.

So the images taken, have various applications: fashion, social, travel etc.

Dom thanks for a lovely 'time out' being a 'tourist' in ones own town/city.

Well this is shoot no.8 with Dominika. On Saturday 27th May 2023 as I write this it will be 4 years since I first met her on a shoot, our first. So 8 shoots in that time. My most photographed model to date.

This was a short notice casting posting by Dominika. The City of Bath is somewhere I have been trying to photograph her in for almost 1 year and 5 months.

So all sorted and booked and in Bath for a 2 hour shoot. Comms all good beforehand and prompt in sorting out start and end times.

For once no problem getting there and meeting at the Roman Baths for a 12:15pm start.

Started off by photographing with the private gardens at the back, heading towards Pulteney Bridge and the Weir.

Then, disaster as my camera just froze and unresponsive (never happened before). Fortunately, removing the battery and waiting 30secs and putting it back, then turn back on, worked.

No fuss from Dominika, most understanding.

So working our way over Pulteney Bridge and heading back along the River Avon towards Bath Spa station.

An interesting walk. A preferred spot with the bridge as a backdrop was out as a Thai Café was now there, no matter there were others.

The strong sunlight and occasional heavy gusts of wind at times but no fuss from Dominika.

Her customary immaculate turnout in a cream jacket, white blouse with a bow tie shawl collar, check trousers and reddish leather slip on’s and the simple elegance of her earrings and necklace. A most distinctive pair of dark Sunglasses completed the formal elegance.

More time went on and being on the opposite bank with the sun, photographs got better and better.

As ever, happy to make suggestions and take direction and good at spotting locations.

I am particularly happy with the river backdrop and berth shots.

Given that we were under time constraints with the start and had to be back at the Station on time. I am happy with the results.

I have photographed Dominika 8 times now. Again only need 15 minutes for results and I get guaranteed results.

She has been far more than just a friend, as I do many of my best photographs with her. Consistency is key.

Everything I have said previously is still true.

If I did not enjoy spending time photographing her, then regardless of the subject or type of shoot. I just simply wouldn’t photograph her.

I have done so for 8 shoots in 4 years. Most enjoyable.

It is so nice to have models you can regularly photograph. So I am at a stage where I have a number of go-to models for future shoots.

Having visited and photographed Bath many times. I have wanted to photograph her in Bath and now I have done so.

Yes, I continue to more than recommend Dominika to any photographer, for any shoot she agrees to as someone with whom you will get guaranteed results with a most enjoyable time doing so.

I finally got to do a shoot today with the beautiful and incredibly talented Dominika. She is the consummate professional. Arrangements and communications were dealt with speedily and without any problems. The shoot itself was a real joy. I was a little rusty due to illness and Covid etc however Dominika was patient and immensely helpful striking all manner of poses and positions and all in a friendly and unfussy way. Highly recommended.

It’s always great having Dominika here at the studio: she is a fabulous model and a really fun person to work with. The perfect mix of friendly and professional!

Pre-shoot comms are always spot-on and Dominika always turns up beautifully prepared.

I booked Dominika again on her Studio Day at Full Moon Studio in Gloucestershire on Friday 5th May 2023 for 2hrs from 12:30pm. This being our 7th shoot in almost 4 years with 3 in 2023 alone so far.

Quite the trip getting there, train being slightly late to getting slightly disorientated en route, to just missing the bus by a few feet to then walking to the studio. On arrival 5 mins before start, no answer and no signs of activity so cue panic leaving text messages, mobile answerphone and landline answerphone. I am notified shortly Dominika checked her mobile. I am in a little later and after some technical problems we are off shooting. Using a Rembrandt lighting setup on black backdrop by Huw.

It is always an absolute pleasure to spend time photographing Dominika. Guaranteed results and as I always tell her I only need 15 minutes photographing her.

Turns up on time. Does what she says. Her signature gold eyeshadow and red shade of lipstick and her customary immaculate turnout, tip to toe, every aspect.

Her style I would describe as Happy, Emotive and Expressionist. That is the constant theme throughout our shoots. It shows in every photograph I have taken of Dominika.

The only constant features were the lighting setup by Huw and the black backdrop roll.

Starting with a blue and white patch patterned dress, then a sand summer dress, then chocolate leather trousers with a cream biker style jacket and finally with a croc pattern sand shirt in place of the cream jacket and also cute white polka dot pattern on dark grey socks throughout.

The only prop used was the stool. I had some ideas but left specifics up to her.

All this shows Dominika’s versatility and as I have told her she looks good in anything she wears.

Her posing is fluent and flowing. Lots of her endearing quirks and mannerisms. Her eyes (windows to the soul) give away everything, the head tilt, leaning, expressions, smiles, poise, positioning, stance, how her arms and legs are positioned as how are her hands and feet.

A most productive and enjoyable shoot, as they all are. Consistency is the key here.

It is always very tough to select what photos to post as there are always too many that are so good. It is always tougher again to select a sample gallery of 10 full size rather than sized to Purpleport.

Her comms are usually very good and back and forth. Always replies as soon as possible, however busy. In detail and takes note and remembers, my profile, anything decided.

Little details like, thank you for booking me, which is nice and while in flow, shoot a sequence and show her back of camera, she always likes the shots. Letting me know of next availability.

I consistently do my best work with Dominika, every shoot gets better.

We have surpassed that with this shoot.

Only my 2nd Studio shoot and 1st time photographing Dominika in a Studio.

I have got many more ¾ length to full length photographs. Usually it’s head and shoulders or close in as I am always lost in her eyes. Most glad about this.

As usual I am busy trying different picture modes, apertures and art filters.

I would go as far to say these in my professional view are the best fashion and portrait shots overall of Dominika I have yet taken.

I would put these up against any from Vogue, any Fashion, any from Twiggy to David Bailey.

If I were to pick one shoot to demonstrate Dominika’s style and versatility, what she can do, this is it.

I even managed to do some shots with my tripod and remote release, which I never get to use until now. A wide variety in a short space of time of first class results.

Which is my favourite?

A question I find almost impossible to answer so to paraphrase Imogen Cunningham.

“Which is my favourite photograph of Dominika? The one I am going to take tomorrow.”

I have had the best day of photography ever!

So 50% of this is down to Huw and his lighting setup and the other 50% down to Dominika and her modelling. A first class photographer as well, quite the artist.

Me? I just press the button, trying to capture the decisive moment.

My point being.

I have had the best day of photography ever!

Did another outdoor 'walkabout' photo session, with the lovely DominikaW

In a quiet area of Bristol Harbourside, Cumberland Lock, Plimsoll Swing Bridge.

She knows places to shoot, open, underneath, other distant places as backdrops.

Did fashion, portrait, contemporary, woodland, used what was there, left behind.

Suggested sites that would work, liked the ones that I saw, they also worked.

Weather fine, good, varied lighting levels, variable floor, ground levels.

I enjoyed the event, so did she.

Thanks for a great shoot, maybe do another further in to the Harbour area.

Had my first shoot with Dominika today and it definitely wont be the last. Dominika messaged me after I posted a casting and from the start her comms were great, to the point, informative and detailed.

On the day, Dominika arrived early and with a great set of outfits. She was easy to talk to from the start, and some great ideas during the shoot. Dominika needs no direction but when direction is given follows it easily.

Thanks for a great shoot and looking forward to working together again soon.

It was such a delight to work again with Dominika on our second shoot: this time at Huw's friendly and supportive Full Moon Studio in Aylburton.

Domi has a warm and thoughtful personality, which she carries through to her modelling. For this shoot we focussed on portraiture and full length shots, in a harmonious series of outfits devised by her and a few simple props, plus one set of shots with a splash of glamour. Domi's poses were (as always) candid, fluid and expressive: all hallmarks of her style.

I am so pleased with the resulting images - a good range of different moods and expressions to be found- and, of course, we must not forget those beautiful eyes !

In conjunction with her professionalism, Domi is charming, easygoing and lots of fun to work with.

So thank you Domi for a super shoot last week. You are Highly Recommended.

Well shoot no.6 took place at Ashton Park, Ashton, Bristol on Friday 3rd February 2023 from 9am to 11am.

A little late in starting thanks to the buses (I walked, they still can’t run on time) but no matter.

Off and around Ashton Park, the fields, trees, shelter, steps, terraces, bowling and tennis clubs. To right under the Overpass and shot there with backdrops. Many aspects were new in fact to me. The new swings in the newer fenced enclosure (the old play area now completely empty) and an almost unused guided track under the overpass for instance. So, I did get a bit lost on the way back but after photographing riverside at the Avon Locks and Clifton Suspension Bridge. We finally ended up at the Main Entrance at Ashton Road to the second of 11am. Chatting and wave, bye bye and off she went, as did I.

Yet again a most wonderful 2 hours of time spent with Dominika.

Chatting away. Her signature immaculate turnout and look. To which I must now add her winter padded coat with the fur lined hood.

Some lovely shots with that up and inspired from Dominika to photograph under the overpass. It was dark so I used fill-in-flash. Beautifully lit up and just Glowing!

As ever, a pleasure to correspond with. Logs in, messages, back and forth to arrive at a mutually arranged shoot.

Beautifully expressive and also fluent posing throughout.

I am again struck by how her eyes light up and she is beaming her head off throughout, always lovely to see.

Just 2 model shoots I have had in 2022 in total, yet so far I have

photographed Dominika twice already in 2023 and in consecutive months.

The kindest aspect I take away from this. She told me how my photography had improved, deeply touching!

She is also one of the finest photographers I have known.

Just book Dominika! Model or Photographer, guaranteed results! Just 15 minutes I find.

Like any model I have photographed, to quote Imogen Cunningham “Which of my photographs is my favourite? The one I am going to take tomorrow.”

I look forward to shoot number 7.

Dominika is a fantastic model who is very talented and very creative. She had lots of ideas for the shoot and also had a good range of quality outfits, ideal for the style of shoot I was looking for.

I had my first photo session with Dominika W this afternoon at her studio model day held at Full Moon studio.

We had a wonderful afternoon of photography, with chat, laughter and Dominika suggesting & giving advise regarding poses & camera positions, I had decided on classic Hollywood themed portraits for the session.

Dominika W .. is very polite & relaxed.

We managed to create some lovely photos in the session.

I would highly recommend Dominika to all skills of photographer.

A lot of beautiful portrait/fashion shots. Many times I captured her smiling to beaming her head off and she doesn’t realise it. As I always remind her she is always beaming! Lovely to see!
