References for Mr Dave

Probably a well overdue reference for my good friend Dave. We have worked together countless times over the years and I will never get fed up with working with him.

Dave has the drive and determination to learn and my god hasn't he improved because of it! Dave puts everything into trying to achieve the images he wants and is also concidorate to the model - True gent :)

All in all Dave is a joy to work with, I've enjoyed every shoot so far and I know we have many more fun creative shoots to come!!

Great friend, great photographer, I have nothing but good words for this man I would happily recommend to any model that gets the opportunity to work with him!

Well where do I start!...

I contacted Dave about staying at his place a few months ago.... Unfortunately that didn't go ahead rather last minute due to my health issues, thankfully Dave was very understanding and allowed me to come and stay again!.... Comms with Dave are brilliant, nice and detailed and he always replied promptly, also more than happy to give all details needed to arrange shoots...

Again Dave was accommodating but allowing me to arrive the evening before, he happily collected me from the train station & took me back at the end of the stay which was brilliant!

I had been looking forward to the visit after all the positive things I'd heard and I certainly wasn't disappointed!....

Dave is happy for you to arrange shoots at his place.... if you want to shoot there for your whole stay that's not a problem he is very flexible which is fantastic!....

The accommodation itself is perfect.... You get your own clean and tidy room with bathroom facilities.... The room is nice and warm & what a comfy bed... If you need anything or have forgotten anything Dave is likely to have it... hairdryers etc!....

The shoot space itself again is perfect... natural light and studio set ups!... And you can also shoot in the garden, it's perfect as a place to offer photographers!....

I've never felt so relaxed during a tour and that's all down to Dave, his home is very relaxing... he is a perfect host nothing is too much trouble and he makes sure you eat as well!!... :)...

Oh and I really did want to steal away Timmy in the suitcase, Timmy is his absolutely gorgeous Lab/retriever!

I did work with Dave whilst I was there which was very fun, we did experiment a little and managed to get some stunning images that were a little different for us both!... So thank you for that!...

So would I recommend staying & working with Mr Dave!.... ABSOLUTELY!.... I loved my stay!.... I loved the venue... and Dave just add's to it!... A really chatty, friendly, genuine person who makes you feel comfortable at all times and really looks after you!!...

Thank you again Dave & I hope to visit again next year!...

On Thursday evening I had a shoot with the delightful Arabella at Mr Dave's studio.

Mr Dave was a fantastic host, and was full of encouragement and enthusiasm. He provided full use of his studio, setting up back drops, moving furniture, helping with settings on the camera and even provided refreshments. Mr Dave makes a great cup of tea!

During the shoot, Mr Dave was full of encouragement for my ideas, which help me with my confidence. At the end of the shoot, Mr Dave even tidied the studio and provided more refreshments. The whole experience with both Arabella and Mr Dave was amazing and I hope to use his studios again in the future.

If you are looking for somewhere to shoot, I would highly recommend contacting Mr Dave.

Used Mr. Daves studio for the first time yesterday, a wet November afternoon so did not use what looked to be a secluded garden full of fine weather possibilities.

Inside everything was clean, efficient and a wealth of lighting equipment plus lots of natural light. Add to this a great host on hand but never intrusive.

Today Mr Dave allowed us to use his beautiful home studio for a pre arranged shoot. Wow what a beautiful place to shoot endless choices of natural light and gorgeous features throughout the house and outside. Not only does he have a beautiful house but he makes a wonderful host and is on hand if needed throughout. A wonderful genuine guy always happy to help and great fun to be around. I had a wonderful day at his abode the only down side was i didnt get the opportunity to shoot with him myself.... next time Mr Dave :-) Thankyou for having us and being awesome!!!

Had a wonderful day at Mr Dave's house in Exeter shooting the wonderful Sinopa Rin. i Have known Mr Dave for a while now from the local photography meets. The bungalow has so many large windows and patio doors you never knew so much natural light existed. He also has studio lighting equipment with different modifiers and different back drops to choose if the rare devon sun doesn't come out. His hospitality is awesome and he is such a lovely genuine guy and great company.

I shot at Mr.Dave's with Claire last Saturday, a great place to shoot from, he was extremely helpful and a wizard with that kettle.

We had a great day there, got some really nice shots, he has plenty of kit to use, and as Claire's hubby Kevin was on hand, he moved the lights about for me, so a big thanks for that.

Hope to shoot there again some time.

Highly recommended.

Artemis Fauna

I finally came down to stay with Mr Dave last week during my tour!

I stayed at Mr Dave's for a total of three nights so although I have worked with him many times now- this was my first visit.

Mr Dave is a wonderful host. Nothing is too much trouble. I felt welcome, safe and well looked after at all times and that bed...is SO COMFY! Haha.

I am already looking at dates for when I can return.

Thank you, Mr Dave- hope to see you again next year...maybe April! :D :D

First and foremost I had a really great time. I was pretty nervous to start with (being so new to this feild) but MrDave invited me to sit down with a cup of tea and we started to break the ice with general chit chat. MrDave made me feel at ease and offered me plenty of advice and reassurance.

The shoot started and I was still nervous but after time I felt much more at ease with the help of MrDave.

We decided to go down the androgynous route which was both fun and exciting as neither of us had done much in this area before so it was a brilliant learning curve. It was such fun to change roles and MrDave was great at giving me feedback when I asked him how I was doing.

As a new model I would strongly recommend MrDave as he made me feel comfortable, allowed me time between changing with no pressure and I didn't feel like I was letting him down!

I'm very sensitive to atmospheres and in MrDaves home I felt relaxed and comfortable. Especially with the help of his dog Tim :) haha!

A brilliant few hours, and thank you very much for your time.. I hope we got some good images to work with..and I hope we make some more in the future ...

I am currently staying at Mr Dave's for four nights, this is my 4th visit to Dave's place, I love it here, I feel like I am on holiday, Dave is so accommodating, he can't do enough for me. I use his place to also shoot from, it is great loads of natural light or studio lights if you want them. Dave has a big back garden to also shoot in. He is always on hand to help should you need it. Every time I shoot down this way I will always stay here for as long as he will have me. I am comfortable here and Dave is just amazing.

Mr Dave is an amazing photographer, he is very professional and creative. It was the first time we worked together but I am sure it will not be the last.

He made me feel very comfortable and made me look so gorgeous in the images later, I could not have been happier with the results. He was also very quick to process the images and provided me with a good variety of fantastic shots.

Dave is very talented at his craft and you can tell he really loves what he does.

He was ready on time and ahead of schedule and has a great studio set up.

I would highly recommend Mr Dave and I am sure you will be equally happy like me. He has lots of ideas, but he also patiently listens to your requests and moves throughout the shoot with a calm, polite and stress-free attitude. He is also very flexible and easy going, I felt really relaxed while shooting together as I knew I was in such great hands.

I cannot recommend Dave enough and I am looking forward to working with him again soon :-)

This was my first time at Mr Dave's home which he has integrtated a high spec studio setup. This was a shoot with Rachelle Summers and the we were able to make use of one of the many backgrounds and the garden which has a number of interesting features.

Dave is a great host and is on hand to help with seting up with sets for the shoot.

I recommend Dave place as a location for a shoot in Exeter and hope to be ther in the future.

I met Dave on our recent Portugal trip and I can honestly say we could not have had a better group of people. Dave is a real gentleman and got along with everyone. I know the models on the trip loved working with him and we simply could not have had a nicer person in the group.

I genuinely hope to see Dave again in any circumstances and would love it if he chose to come on one of our trips again.

I have worked with Dave a few times now, and have also stayed at his home for a week back in January when he was kind enough to put me up during my tour. I get on with him very well so was over the moon when he decided to join us on the photographic holiday this year!

He was a little nervous understandably as he had not been abroad in quite some time, so I helped him with a few bits and bobs and gave him advice on his luggage and his airport parking and he was good to go for his first ever abroad shooting experience! After hearing his feedback from the trip I am so happy that he enjoyed himself so much, I really wanted it to go well and for him to enjoy being abroad and the whole experience so that fact he did meant a lot!

He made a great addition to the group, being his usual friendly and kind self and even helping his fellow photographer out who hadn't shot much natural light. Which is Dave down to a T. He will do anything for anyone, he really is happy to help if he can which is very rare nowadays!

He also shot some amazing BTS footage on the trip and has put together a lovely video to showcase the photographic holidays in the future and show how much fun we had on the first ever one of its kind :D

I am soso happy that not only has he decided to come on the photographic holiday I am running next year, he has decided to come for a whole week instead of just a 3 day slot!!

Already looking forward to it and also to staying with him for my second tour of his area in a few weeks time :)

Without a doubt recommended by me!!!

Dave booked onto the (first ever) Luxury Portugal trip we hosted last week. I couldn't have asked for a better group of photographers to come out with us!

I have worked with Dave a few times now, but never abroad and never for three whole days! Dave was great- he got on with everyone in the group, took some great images and was such fun to be around for three days. It went by too quickly!

He brought along a video camera and got some superb BTS footage and I cannot wait to see the final video!!

I would wholeheartedly recommend Dave to anyone- a genuine, caring and lovely guy. I really can't wait for him to join us on future events! :)
