I arranged a Punk Rock shoot for East Grinstead Council. I needed over the top makeup and hair. I wanted to achieve the 1970's 80's look of the punk era.

Dan was my first point of call, "Dan how can we do this, and that and this, and this and that ETC"

I have worked with Dan for a couple of years on various shoots, we have both been challenged and we have shared a lot of laughs and gasps but always Dan's work is "OUTSTANDING" I consider Daniel Hoey not only my right hand man but a genuine friend... I had a fantastic time working with Dan during a very brutal and gory horror shoot. Dan is a highly talented makeup artist, and with his skills and expertise he transformed myself and the other actors on the day into our gruesome characters. There was lots of fake blood, body parts and various other materials used to recreate scenes from the horror film and it all looked so realistic! I thoroughly enjoyed working with Dan and look forward to working with him again in the future :D Highly recommended!

Dan contacted me to join him as part of a team of MUAs for a big horror shoot over the weekend. Dan allowed me a lot of free creativity and some guidance on new things as well as teaching me some top secrets! He took a back step on some exciting bits such as running blood pumps just to let me get the opportunity to do it! I really enjoy every time I work with dan he is a very talented man and so helpful and shares all his wisdom with me! I look forward to working with him again

I wanted to do a massive horror shoot which involved some very brutal scenes. I asked Dan to help me and gave him all my problems, "Dan how can we do this, and that and this etc and so on. In his usual super cool manor, "its not a problem"

The scenes we needed to do were very technical on the FX side as well as the makeup.

On the day everything was sorted, planned and made. As always Dan was one of the first to arrive. With his team of makeup artists he set to work and had all our problems sorted.

This a difficult shoot and I could not have made this work without you. Thank you so much for your time, effort and experience

I worked with Dan on a UV shoot, he was the lead MUA here but he encouraged me to do a lot of the models myself! Dan is great to work with, he is very supportive and encouraging and he wants to provide everyone with great results and outcomes, Dan really threw me in at the deep end with this shoot and I absolutely loved it! Superbly capable and delivered appropriate looks in good time. I just wish the models would allow a bit more of his great creativity.

What Else can I say, since my last reference I gave to Dan I must have worked with him another 4 times, Amazingly talented guy, loads of fun and his team of makeup artists are really good. Dan is reliable professional and a lovely guy. Highly recommended
