References for Dan hoey mua

This is two references in one as I have worked with Dan a few times overall now but just recently a couple of times, one of which for a Suicide Squad inspired shoot that I organised in which Dan along with a couple of other MUA's did a fantastic job creating the character of Killer Croc with a prosthetic which took 2 hours and looked absolutely fantastic!!

The second time was the other day when I worked with Gino and he wanted a specific look for one of his crazy ideas and Dan pulled it off just perfectly!

Dan's not only a great MUA but also a lovely guy and a great friend of many at Rochester Studios now and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a MUA!!

Thanks again, and I'm sure it won't be long until we see one another again :D

This reference is for the outstanding makeup work Dan and his team did on Suicide squad shoot last weekend.

There task was task was to create the "Killer Croc" character from the show.

I looked Hollywood quality. It took 2 hours to create but wow what a job they did.

Dan is my right hand man. We work together sometimes twice a week. Yesterday I had 3 shoots. I'm giving this referral not only as a makeup artist but for the other things he does. Anyone would know that on a photo shoot its really helpful to have some help. Dan is on site and once the makeup is done he then helps out with moving lights, using fan, smoke machine and just supporting me with the shoot. I work quickly and having Dan with me helps me get as much done as I can. this is more of a thank you than a review.

Dan is reliable, trustworthy, respectful, and I just love him. thank you Dan for all your help support Makeup etc over the past 4 years. We have had a lot of fun.

Dan was one of a team of three MUA’s who created some stunning artwork on their model, involving multiple layers of liquid latex and UV paints, plus some magic which remains their secret.

The end results were amazing and beautiful.

Each of the team are extremely talented in their own right, and in combination.

Dan is a pleasure to work with. He has done my make-up a few times now and is talented, creative and professional. The most recent shoot was based on the film ‘Carry on Cleo’ where Dan turned me into the character ‘Cleopatra’s Stuck Up Mother’! Nothing is too much trouble. He suggested I took some photographs of the transformation for my portfolio, applied Egyptian style make-ip and also fitted my wig. There was a very large cast for the shoot but Dan remained calm and hot on with what needed to be done. I would recommend him 100% as a make-up artist.

Dan is an exceptional MUA. I have worked with him several times and he always does fantastic work. He is also a marvellous chap to be in the make up room with. This time he made me up as an Egyptian High Priest and he did fabulous work... and the amazing thing is the incredible speed at which he works. Once more Dan has created magic.

I work with Dan almost once a week, sometimes more so I don’t always give him a reference but today I thought it time to give him an updated reference.

Over the past 4 years dan has worked with me maybe 200 times, not only on makeup but support, props. Nothing is ever to much trouble and I know when I asked him to make stuff like a severed finger a head we can smash with brains spilling out it will get done. I even asked him to make me a penis (for a photo shoot) we he made me 2.

Dan is my right hand man, my friend and a talented guy.

Given the brief and quite odd requests i ask of him he producess within minutes to flawless perfection

He frowns upon my mental images but smiles and sees how my mind work whilst showing him the back of camera imagery

I have many more plans for and his skills combined with my non mainstream ideas

Dan recently did the make up for a shoot we were involved in. Whilst he also painted the other models (liquid latex), he also did my make up which completed the look wonderfully. He is absolutely wonderful to work as I have done a few times now. Easy to talk to a great at his job! Recommended

Had the greatest pleasure of meeting and working along side Dan today

Great comms from the start and very chatty and funny on set too

We shot 2 sets of imagery for a submission to a USA based magazine

Both styles very different in contrasts too

He created both the desired looks to an outstanding quality in great time and with such grace of ease

Dan remained on set throughout the shoot as i showed him test shots from each set we shot so he could touch up and reblend the flawless make up look he created with just my basic briefing from the outset

Dan is a lovely gentleman and incredibly talented. I had the pleasure of being made up by him today for 2 looks; a Red Riding Hood inspired theme and a Metallic theme; both of which he excelled in using the brief and his creativity.

His attention to detail is wonderful, staying attentive throughout the shoot and making touch ups where necessary. He is laid back, down to earth yet very professional and so was a pleasure to work with throughout the day. Would highly recommend.
