References for Carla Monaco

Via contact with photographer Mick Payton I booked an assisted 4 hours one to one shoot with Carla as part of her model weekend at Mick's place. As arranged, this was mostly in the form of a photo walk outdoors local to Mick's place making use of natural light (and reflector and flash) but also including some window light work at Mick's studio for the last hour. As planned, Carla used lifestyle outfits for the outdoors shooting, for the last hour's window light work in the studio we agreed a 'sheer' bedroom garment type shoot set. This was the fourth time I've worked with Carla and she was the perfect model for what I wanted to achieve - to get back on track with shoots with models after 15 months break caused by the Covid pandemic. As always, Carla showed her professionalism, dedication and friendliness and demonstrated how gorgeous, talented and versatile she is with an amazing range of posing skills. Very highly recommended. I've come away with great images and I'll enjoy selecting my favourites to upload onto my portfolio on here.

I worked with Carla on a remote Bohemian shoot. I was delighted to have finally got to work with Carla as she has been on my "list" for a long time... And I am so glad I did. The results were fantastic. We got on really well and chatted easily between shots. I have some incredible images. Carla is so used to posing, but she also took my suggestions without any effort. Very, very happy to have been involved in this project. Can't wait to work with Carla again. Very highly recommended.

I was fortunate enough to have a 1 hour remote shoot with Carla (assisted by Adrian) as part of the Bohemian Bloom event, our 6th shoot but first remote. I was excited to be part of this event, knowing it was be amazing and, as always Carla did not disappoint. She put a huge amount of effort into creating some beautiful sets to choose from and the coordination and thought she put into the outfits that would correspond with them.

Preshoot coms were excellent and her posing, as always, was flawless and beautiful. Her professionalism is outstanding and I am thrilled to bits with the results we achieved in a short time. The shoot was fun and relaxed with lots of chat and laughter and we captured some absolutely lovey work,

In Search of That Perfect Shot..............

Had a shoot with Artemis Fauna, Ivory Flame and Carla Monaco on their Bohemian Bloom Remote event. It all went well and was very enjoyable. A small technical problem for a few minutes with Artemis but she quickly resolved the issue and we continued without any other incidents! Each model had lovely sets and it was difficult to choose which one to shoot in as all the sets were so lovely, they had worked so hard to make it a high-end shoot, needless to say that the posing from each was awesome too! All gave 150% to this event (to say 100% would be under-valuing what they did). Results were first class too! Thank you ladies, hope you do another event similar to this soon. Thanks, Jann :-)x

On Monday I had my second shoot with Carla. The first had been at one of Artemis Fauna’s themed events and this occasion was a similar venture, Bohemian Bloom.

We had briefly talked through a couple of ideas in advance but had left it reasonably flexible just to see where we would go in the hour. It was a remote shoot and we did have minor techy problems at the beginning in connecting with each other but fortunately there was a “plan B” which was quickly activated and proved successful.

Carla was aided by her husband who helped shift the lights and offer advice when needed.

I had hoped to work with Carla last year but had to cancel when Covid struck - hopefully we will get a chance of another face to face shoot in the not too distance future.

It was a great hour - I got some wonderful images and look forward to posting some soon on PurplePort. If the opportunity comes your way, do book a shoot with Carla! Thoroughly recommended.

I had a 2 hour shoot with Carla and, as always she was a joy to shoot. Pre shoot coms were good and the shoot flew by. We'd planned a little shoot prior to my having some PS tuition with Adrian and, in spite of it being a shorter shoot than I am used to, we still managed several outfit changes and achieved some really lovely shots.

This was our 5th shoot together and she always inspires. Her calmness and encouragement always put one at ease, her ease and range she of stunning poses is boundless. I always finish a shoot with Carla wanting more. She is the consummate professional, her understanding of light and editing really help to produce some beautiful shots.She seems to have a bottomless wardrobe - I don't think we've ever shot the same outfit twice and they always seem original.

I booked a Bridget Bardot styled Remote photo shoot with Carla. The whole experience was very enjoyable and super easy. Pre shoot communication from Carla was great, she made sure I had the correct software on my computer so that we could get started almost straight away.

Her partner Adrian was assisting with the shoot, making sure the remote capture software was working and moving the camera and lights as we set up each set.

I got some fantastic images and really enjoyed working with Carla and Adrian I recommend that you try a remote shoot with Carla you wont be disappointed.

I have just had my fourth shoot with Carla (our second location) and it was absolutely stunning. Again I have come away from a shoot with Carla buzzing in the knowledge that we've created some truly beautiful images. I had the superb assistance of Adrian Crook which was greatly valued on many levels.

Carla and I have been planning this shoot for a while and it was absolutely worth it, she has great kindness, patience, creativity and imagination as well superb elegance in a great repertoire of poses and outfits, completely professional whilst being absolutely approachable and open to ideas. We are more familiar with each others styles and she has a great instinct for what I am aiming for and suggesting great ideas. We were lucky with the weather, some great light to play with in a stunning woodland location which she and Adrian had found.

Carla is an utter joy to shoot with, we had four hours to shoot in and it was chilled, creative, relaxed and a lot of fun. She is relaxed and precise in her posing - the complete professional.

Absolutely 1000% recommended and honestly can't wait for the next one.

This was my first shoot with Carla, it was a remote shoot in her house, the set ups and scenarios were lush and interesting thus adding a certain positive twist to a normal shoot. She moved from pose to pose with grace and poise, the mark of a true professional. Friendly, engaging and a joy to work with, we came away with many killer shots from our teamwork, and that team includes the ever helpful assistant in the shape of Adrian. Highly recommended and her already established standing and portfolio speaks for itself. Hopefully we can work together again in the future.

An Eye for Beauty

This is my 22nd shoot with the lovely Carla, and the second remote shoot. As one might imagine, it is sheer joy to relax into a shoot with someone so lovely and so friendly. Carla is a real sweetie, and I cannot commend her enough. With all her experience she could come across differently, but there is a genuine light about her which shows through in the images. We never cover everything and each shoot produces some more gems. I have only just started editing, but I am already looking forward to our next encounter.

Exchanged a few ideas in advance and on the day, those ideas were excellently converted into various sets, clothing options and styled looks. It is hard to put into words about my shoot today with Carla (via remote). I was very impressed with the remote setup that her and Adrian have working at their home. Carla and Adrian made me feel very relaxed and welcome in my shoot with her and we got down some epic shots. This lady certainly knows how to pose and is highly finessed in setting herself to look perfect in every shot. I came away from the shoot with a plethora of unique shots that I feel will add to my portfolio massively. I would highly recommend Carla to anyone who is thinking of booking a shoot with her, and I would book her again at the drop of a hat.....

Had a remote shoot with Carla last friday, One of the best remote shoots i ever had. Carla is a dream model to work with. She is very open to suggestions and improvements and ideas from the mood board. The set up and light settings were very professionally done and small directions were immediately understood thanks to the help of Adrian. Definitely worth repeating, more than that, I highly recommend it to myself.

I've been contemplating doing a remote shoot for a couple of months and jumped at the chance to take advantage of Carla's. Strangely enough my last studio shoot was with Carla back in January 2020! The interface was straightforward and ably aided by Adrian Crook, we got some great photographs. Unfortunately the time flashes past! Highly recommended, she's so beautiful and photogenic it's hard to go wrong!

Carla is such an positive and relaxed soul. She never fails to ensure solid results. We have not long finished a remote shoot which I was slightly skeptical about. I sent over a mood board and everything was just as I would of hoped for and more. The experience was great fun and I received the images instantly (within the hour after) thanks to her husband Adrian.

To say I’m over the moon is an understatement. Her styling and modelling ability are just incredible. I’m sure it won’t be long till we can create again. Thank you both once again for a truly amazing experience.

I've worked with Carla probably five or six times and like the previous post from An Eye for Beauty, when Carla announced her Remote shooting plans, it was an easy choice to make.

Despite being familiar with Teams, Zoom etc. I was slightly wary of how I would cope with the technology. Carla's husband Adrian Crook, took care of the hardware - Carla had helpfully supplied a URL with her users guide. And in truth five - ten minutes in, the new way of working was easy to adapt to. If you have not tried remote shooting before - please give it a go. Not only will you be supporting fellow creatives through these difficult times, but you will get some fantastic images into the bargain.

Carla, as always, live or remote is the consummate, skilled, friendly professional to work with. I've some great images from today and I'm grateful to Carla. And indeed Adrian for minding the tech.

An Eye for Beauty

Having had 20 shoots with the lovely Carla, I knew that my first remote shoot with her would also be great - and it was. I gave her some ideas but encouraged her to work out the shoot plan to make the best use of the time. We covered a wide range of scenarios and I think it was one of the best 'studio' shoots I have enjoyed with her. Carla's husband Adrian Crook acted as assistant which guaranteed that not only would posing and outfits be excellent but lighting was also perfect. We achieved 200+ images and all were of good quality. Now I have the task of sorting out the very best to edit. Thanks once again Carla - you remain one of my all-time favourite models and I look forward to our next encounter, live or remote! Soon - very soon!

I recently had the opportunity to work with Carla, and I'm delighted with the results.

The shoot itself, and the communications ahead of time went off flawlessly. She took the moodboard provided, and made things very easy by providing suggestions as to how best to accomplish the goals based on the sets and wardrobe available.

Similarly, her posing and expressions were perfect for each setup; I can't think of a way things could have been better.

It's very obvious why she's so popular, and I look forward to working with her in the future. Highly recommended!

First time working with Carla on a remote shoot.

Good communication in run up to day and process explained (varies for remote shoots).

Very easy going on the day and easy to talk to. Had some good ideas to add into the shoot and ended up with some great shots.

Would definitely recommend.
