I wanted to write something significant alongside these self portraits and images I took last week of myself and Rachyy but to be honest, I think, and hope the images speak for themselves really.

.

I'm also really struggling to get my words out at the moment so will keep it short and simple.

.

In the last year both our lives have been turned upside down, changed forever and something we will carry and have to heal from for the rest of our lives.

.

We are different now and will never be the person we once were.

.

I wanted to capture a sense of the anguish and frustration, but also show the determination and creativity we have both exhibited throughout this difficult time.

.

Inspired a little by the work of Francis Bacon and of course, Francesca Woodman.

I'm doing OK now work has mostly resumed and I managed to pull off the Artemisian trips this year but I wanted to add those links above anyway for us both.

.

I have a heavy feeling that due to the fact I have powered through this year despite it all (not really had much choice) I might have a bit of a delayed reaction to the shock so as the one year mark looms I think I might need to be sensible and take some time to get some professional help. I will be using the donations sent so far towards this in the future. Thank you.
