I had a great shoot with Andrew at his home in Lincoln. He was kind enough to fit me in for a trade shoot before his busy professional year began.

Both Andrew and his wife (who helped with some of the styling) were really nice and professional and we got a lot done in the time available.

I highly recommend

I modelled for a dance photography workshop that Andrew taught.

The shoot was very well organised. I was well looked after, everyone was very friendly and I though roughly enjoyed the shoot. I found Andrew overall, to be very professional and friendly and I would gladly work with him again!

I attended three of Andrew's fast track sessions (composition, speed lights and studio lights) over two days, Although taster sessions I found them both informative and useful. Andrew delivered them well, but included a lot of interaction with the group. Having been on these I would recommend them to those looking to freshen their skills and having been on these I would definitely consider another course with Andrew in the future.

Attended Andrews course on Speedlites and as on other occasions learnt a lot.

Some of the concepts were quite technical but Andrew explained them in a clear logical fashion.

The time flew by.

I would recommend this and any of Andrews courses a great photographer and a great trainer.

Andrew very kindly invited me to model at his most recent Portfolio Builder day in Nottingham - and what a day we all had! He was very helpful in advance with regards to briefing and most welcoming, professional and friendly on the day... Not to mention a fabulous event organiser and a master of his field. I look forward to shooting together soon :)

I have now worked with Andrew 3 times.

A 1-1 tuition that I booked to practice and get around harsh conditions

An amazing portfolio builder day with 4 top models, cars, Hasselblad, Broncolor, stylists and a cream tea!

I have also worked with Andrew on tour in Italy!

A brilliant photographer, teacher and organiser/producer/director.

I have no doubt that I will be doing more with Andrew and looking forward to the next time.

attended Andrew's art nude workshop. Andrew set out the day really well with a theory introduction to the genre and tips on working with models. Followed by plenty of hands on shooting and opportunities to try and recreate his lighting. He is a passionate photographer who also really cares about his teaching & training. Recommended

I worked with Andrew for the first time on a test shoot at Saracen House studios. He is a true professional and knows exactly how to create great photos. He had some great ideas and was very easy to get along with, which put me at ease. I highly recommend him and I hope to work with him again :)

I recently had the great pleasure of a test shoot with Andrew at the Millwood Studios in Stalybridge.

On arrival he carefully explained everything that he was looking for in the shoot and also the background to what it would be like working with him.

Andrew was charming , polite and happy to pass on some of his vast knowledge throughout the shoot which I have found invaluable.

Fingers crossed I may be able to work with him in the future .

I had a great back to basics session with Andrew he gently grounded me so I got the most out of the 2 hour lesson. He is a good people person and an excellent communicator. I am more than happy to recommend his tutorials and would certainly sign up for another in the future.

Andrew organised an event for a Night Shoot at London Docklands with the energetic Angela Hudson.

Andrew conveyed tips and know how's on taking great photos at night, in a way all photographers can understand.

At times did some funny things to ease everybody. Overall the workshop was fantastic and do recommend photographers to attend any of Andrew's workshops not to just gain more experience but to learn more of a style of photography that you akin to.

Had the pleasure of finally meeting up with Andrew on one of his Cinematic styles workshops down at Saracen House in Milton Keynes. A more friendly and knowledgeable chap you are unlikely to meet. I can highly recommend his courses, with perhaps unusually, more of an emphasis on teaching/learning than on getting hundreds of pics for your port (you could always try his portfolio builder days if this is your thing). Fantastic weekend, thoroughly enjoyed.

Andrew is one of the most knowledgeable photographers I have ever worked with. I found him to be extremely professional, well mannered, interesting to listen to. We had a nice long chat before shooting, we agreed on the moodboard and outfits, which is exactly the way I like to work with photographers.

The whole experience was beyond any of my expectations, everything was well structured, well timed and the shoot run really smoothly.

During my time with Mr Appleton, I felt really relaxed and happy to work with him. It was a real pleasure.

I am looking forward to seeing our fantastic shots.

Highly Recommended.

I attended one of Andrew's workshops on studio lighting at Lincoln this weekend. Andrew is very easy to get along with, very knowledgeable and presents his subject in an easy to understand and follow manner. I found the day to be set out logically with each step building on the previous one.

Studio work isn't my thing but Andrew pointed out that the skills I would learn would apply to the type of photography I am interested in and this proved to be the case.

I can recommend Andrew as a trainer and would not hesitate in booking another workshop with him.

I booked Andrew for a 1:1 photography tuition session.

Andrew worked quite fast which I required to fulfil all of the situations I wanted to achieve. He made everything make sense and I found the session to be very enjoyable. A very friendly and knowledgeable photographer who I will be booking for more training in the future.

Attended two shoots led by Andrew this weekend:

One of his famous outdoor Night Shooters in Brighton and a Fashion Nude Studio Shoot.

There were a mixture of attendees on the Night shooter from Pros wishing to get some new ideas to newbies just starting on their journey. We all learned a lot and all agreed it was an extremely worthwhile event.

Andrew is friendly, wise and knowledgeable without being the slightest bit arrogant or aloof. Keen and able to share his extensive knowledge, he answered all our questions fully and freely shared his own tricks of the trade for our education. He gently challenges you to push your boundaries and learn by doing but doesn't hesitate to step in when required to maximise his students' experience.

I particularly liked Andrew's format for the Studio course. He started off with a short presentation and Q&A session, not only from him but also the lovely Zara Watson to offer a Model's perspective - where else would you get a top photographer and model together being so open and honest bringing you up to speed on the craft?

I've done a few targeted photographic courses now and can genuinely report that Andrew has been the best instructor so far and I have learned the most from his courses. Highly recommended

I was so chuffed when Andrew agreed to shoot with me, not only is he a phenomenal photographer, but also a top gentleman too!

He was so hospitable, put me up the night before our shoot, made sure I was fed, and most importantly made the most wonderful coffee... I actually will never understand how someone could make instant coffee taste so good?!!!

We had a wonderful day shooting, and got through several different looks. He allowed me the scope to play around with my own poses, offering greatly informative direction where necessary.

We went out, bought balloons and had a whale of a time!

I can't wait to shoot with Andrew again and I think we have a treat in store for some of the images yet to come!!!

I would recommend him to anyone lucky enough to work him, and to all photographers to go on his courses! There is a lot to be learnt from this chap!

I booked an afternoon with Andrew and Zara last Sunday, it was my first time being given tuition in photography so I enjoyed every bit of it. Andrew is very open, friendly and puts you at ease from the start. Zara is a wonderful model and you can see there is a real connection between them. It is a great partnership that helps to move your understanding of the medium on a stage further. Thanks to you both and I look forward to the next opportunity.

Had the pleasure of attending a training course put on by Andrew at Millwood studios, assisted by the lovely Zara. Not only did I get some great images but learnt a lot during a fun and interesting day. The concepts were broke down to simple and easy to understand chunks.

If you want to take your photography to the next level I would recommend you get on one of Andrews courses.
