I had a great shoot with andrew and his wife (helen) last week in a beautiful house,

we worked through numerous sets with different themes. Andrew and his wife were completely professional throughout the whole day and I really enjoyed myself. The photos already look amazing and I can't wait to see the final results. I can't recommend andrew and helen enough.

Andrew has previously held several Portfolio Builder days here at the location, so I was excited to see what he and his Hair/MUA wife Helen could produce themselves, I was not disappointed!!! We all worked together as a team, and Andrew is most professional as well as being most friendly and approachable, has a fabulous eye for detail and came up with some amazing ideas, can't wait to see the finished shots as the previews were stunning!!!!

I had a one to one training session with Andrew concentrating on location shooting. I can honestly say that it was the best training I have ever taken, bar none.

Andrew explained a number of techniques in a full and easily understandable way. I was able to apply those techniques throughout the session, with Andrew on standby if it started to go wrong, but it didn't. I have come away from that session with a lot more knowledge that I can't wait to get out and use.

If you are looking for training to take you up the next level or two then get in contact with Andrew. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Had the pleasure of shooting with Andrew today at his home.

Rather scary working with such a pro but soon as we met Andrew put all these nerves at ease as he was lovely and friendly. We had a good chin wag over a cup of tea about some ideas we wanted to shoot which broke the ice as well.

We shot some pretty boudoir shots and some lifestyle stuff out in the garden.

We managed to get some gems!

100 percent recommend Andrew if you want some lovely work in your portfolio and want to work with a genuinely lovely photographer!

Attended Andrew's Dance Workshop this weekend. It was everything I expected and more. The workshop was planned to perfection. The explanation about timing was something I had never considered before. The technical details about how different lights worked was very useful. His choice of model/dancer "Bliss" was perfect, as she put us through ballet practise at the start so we all had some idea of the starting positions of feet and arms. He also stressed that the warm up was required for the model/dancer and that she could not go continually on point for hours as effortless as it seemed. Getting my camera to shoot something it had never done before ( 2nd curtain sync on a Canon) with studio lights was a total bonus. Highly recommended.

I was recently on board with one of Andrew's Portfolio Builder Days, and what a great time I had. Even though I didn't directly shoot with Andrew, all organisation and communication has been spot on. He's a genuine, ambitious and talent person, with a lot of knowledge in photography (making suggestions about lighting throughout). I look forward to shooting with Andrew in the future. In the meantime, thank you!

Myself and 3 other photographers hired Andrew to deliver a bespoke lighting workshop for us at an old forge.

Andrew was well prepared and brought lots of equipment for us to use (as you would expect of someone of Andrews experience) however we mostly used cheap £30-£40 manual speed lights mixed with on camera flash for this session. Andrew demonstrated how to

Maximise the effects of mixing strobes with gels and in camera flash and natural light to achieve fantastic results.

Andrew has a very good way of explaining techniques to you and it was refreshing not to come away with the impression you need to spend thousands of pounds to achieve results.

A great day that was very eye opening, thank you and we will definitely be booking you again.

I attended a "Speedlights Fast track and The Speedlight Studio", workshop on Monday as I wanted to learn to use my speedlights in more efficient way - and I would like to say what a great trainer Andrew was. He was friendly and welcoming, answered questions, checked your understanding, showed you a range of equipment but did not sell you anything....

I came away having understood a lot more about how I can control light, how lights can be used together and how I don't have to break the bank to achieve the look I want to achieve. I would consider attending another workshop when he is back in Hampshire!

Ok so Andrew sent me a message rather out of the blue and asked if I would like to attend his Autumn Portfolio Builder Day. After staring at my computer screen in disbelief and excited I said yes!... Andrew is an outstanding photographer, his work speaks for itself. And his workshops/studio days etc are known for their prestige.... To say I was nervous would be an understatement but his communication throughout certainly helped to put me at rest, all details and information being confirmed.

The day was amazing!.... Andrew was very friendly and approachable.. ... he worked perfectly with everyone else and helped when needed!... He spend lots of time working with photographers helping them get the best from their model and camera..... He also helped to set up one of my favourite images of the day! :)... So I would highly recommend Andrew and his workshop days!...

It was a real honour and I do hope to work with you again in the future!

I had a great time today with Andrew on a 1 to 1 course he is very easy going clear and demonstrates everything in a professional way his techniques are fantastic and he encourages you along on the day consistently monitoring and advising along the way.

His comments are constructive and aid in getting the best out of you i cannot say how much i have enjoyed the day and look forward to editing the fantastic shots i have taken with his tuition,he makes you feel like a true professional and working in a team with the MUA and model you really feel like one.

I cannot thank him enough for the vast knowledge he has shared with me and look forward to booking more of his workshops in the next few months.

I recently attended Andrew's Boudoir Photography Workshop at Amersham Studios. On arrival, it was immediately apparent that the workshop had been organised superbly - an excellent, spacious and well-equipped studio coupled with separate teaching area and display screen.

Andrew's teaching ability is outstanding. He is able to deliver concepts at a level that makes them easy to understand whilst providing plenty of ways in which they can be incorporated into your photography. Andrew had a great rapport with model Angela Hudson and his ability to calmly direct with the odd element of humour was, for me one of the many features that I remember vividly.

The key strength in this workshop was Andrew's ability to share his fabulous photography skills so effectively. I have already analysed many of my photographs and have been able to identify areas of development.

I strongly recommend Andrew's workshop to photographers and intend to book up another in the near future.

I got to meet Andrew recently as part of his Portfolio Builder Day, in Dagenham Civic Centre. Pre-shoot communications were good and clear, and Andrew was an excellent host for the event. As an aspiring photographer myself, I found it educative to listen to his advice to the photographers there on the day- he's obviously highly knowledgeable about lighting and photography, and it's always good to work with someone who is so professional. I hope I will work with him again.

What can I say? Andrew (and Sharon) were great to shoot with. I was lucky enough to have a 1-2-1 session with Andrew even though I booked it as a group shoot. Andrew could easily have cancelled but instead he arrived in good spirits and did everything that he could to make sure that I gained something from the session. I would happily recommend Andrew to anyone!

I had the pleasure of a 1-1 training session Andrew Appleton and Sharon Janney as the model. Sharon was a star. Having never done any model portraiture I wanted to seek professional lessons and with Andrew that was exactly what I got,he was very welcoming and so easy to get along with. Andrew had bundles and bundles of knowledge, without throwing too much at me we got along the day pretty well. I came back home way ahead of where I was at the start of the day. If anybody has any thoughts on training with him my recommendation would be go for it, you'll not regret it. I had a fantastic time and learnt so much.

Went to another of Andrews Lighting courses of Saturday and enjoyed every moment of it. Angela Kate Hudson not only looked after us all with tea and biscuits but was just a perfect model for this training session. Looking forward to doing more training with Andrew and Angela.

I have worked with Andrew now quite a few times and I hope I work with him a lot more , hes a cool guy and as well as getting the job done whats needed we have some laughs to :) I would definitely recommend Andrews workshops :)

I modelled for Andrew on one of his portfolio builders at Pipewell Hall today, and he was kind enough to let me stay at his house last night as well. Andrew is an incredibly talented and knowledgable photographer, as well as a natural teacher, but he's wonderful company and great fun on top of that (great taste in music!). The event was brilliantly organised and everyone walked away very happily with some beautiful images. I'd thoroughly recommend Andrew and his workshops to photographers and models of any level. I hope it won't be another 4 years before our next shoot!

Andrew provided me with some bespoke one on one training. To say I was highly impressed with him would be an understatement. Andrew taught me technical aspects to help my photography... but more importantly he inspired me greatly.... undoubtedly the difference between a good teacher and a great teacher!
