It was my first time working with Alastair at his studio, he booked me for an evening group shoot during my tour to Gloucester. He is really lovely and easy to get along with. Everyone that came to his studio to shoot me was lovely. I love the images we all got and i cant wait to come back to shoot next time i am in the area.

This was about my 4,182nd group shoot with Alastair and he keeps finding new themes, props and people every time. I shot remotely alongside 4 photographers in the studio and lighting, backdrops and technical support were on point as usual. We quickly covered off 4 different looks over the course of 3 hours and I got a great range of different images for my portfolio and gained valuable experience in the process.

Alastair invests a huge amount of effort in planning the shoots so that they go smoothly and always ensures that the atmosphere in the studio is friendly and supportive for both the models involved and the photographers.

The shoots are great value for money and I've already lost count of how many more I'm booked on for the remainder of this year... 🤣

I met Alastair on a group shoot he had arranged at his studio, he was instantly chatty and friendly to me, easy going and made me feel very comfortable as a model with 5 photographers!

His studio is fully equipped with fantastic backdrops, lighting and equipment and we were also able to tether another photographer onto the shoot with ease.

Alastair is full of fantastic and creative ideas, we used these wonderful headdresses and got some unique, wacky images! His experience as a photographer really shone through.

He was very professional whilst able to have a good laugh and make the whole experience enjoyable.

Would 100% recommend working with him and hope to work with him again in the near future!

What a fantastic time I had at Alastair's recent Beauty Lighting Workshop. He created an instructional yet informal atmosphere which made for a fun evening. I learned a lot from this workshop, some of which I had completely forgotten about over the years. I cannot praise this studio highly enough and highly recommend Alastair Currill to you all.

Great to get back to Alastair's Studio after so long for a beauty group shoot with Gemma Clarke. As always, a very relaxed environment and Alastair moved the group through a number of different set ups allowing everyone to capture some fantastic images.

I attended my 1st studio session of this year with Alastair and Gemma at his studio in Bourton. This time we did a beauty lighting workshop, going over different light set ups and modifiers. As always, Alastair was a great host, and happy to share his knowledge , answering any questions we had in a way we could easily understand. The studio was clean, and Covid19 safe.

I have no hesitation in recommending Alastair to any photographer, no matter your skill, and especially to a novice in studio work. I look forward to my next session soon :-)

First photography event back after a year of covid-19 restrictions with an organised group shoot in the rapeseed fields with Gemma Clarke. An enjoyable event that certainly helped blow the cobwebs off my camera skills after so long between model shoots. Alastair laid out some great setups that gave some great images.

I joined Alastair via Zoom today for a useful Remote Post Production Workshop.

The tuition covered the whole workflow from importing files into Lightroom and making various adjustments to the RAW file, through to editing (retouching, sharpening and liquifying) in Photoshop, and then exporting the finished files in lo-res or hi-res versions targeted at social media upload or printing. The use of sync and creating presets in Lightroom was new to me and is a big time-saver; similarly for creating actions in Photoshop.

Alastair was friendly and helpful throughout the session, giving me plenty of time to take control of the mouse and try out techniques that he had demonstrated, and ask any questions I had along the way.

I have been using these programs for over a year already but still learned numerous new tricks today, so I would certainly recommend Alastair to anyone else also wishing to improve their knowledge in this area.

This occasion was my third group shoot with Alastair. Two shoots have been remote using a tether to his camera and the setup just works. He does a great job of lining up everything needed for the group shoots with models, outfits, props and lighting all on the money with every shoot.

Getting tethers to work reliably for remote shooting isn't easy (from personal experience) but Alastair has managed the process well. He made sure that a good quality camera and lens was available and was on hand to support with anything I needed doing in the room with camera position, focus, lighting, props, etc to make the shoot a success.

Post shoot, the images were delivered to me quickly and the quality is outstanding.

Great fun and looking forward to the next one.

I have done a couple of Group Shoots with Alastair this year and also booked the Studio out privately for one on one shoots. Alastair is always totally reliable as a Studio Owner. He is always early and the Studio is set up ready to go. Alastair has a fantastic knowledge of lighting set ups and his Photography work is of a very high quality. He is always happy to assist Photographers capture the right image. The Group shoots are run well and have a clear protocol to them which works well. Attended a group session for Halloween with Gemma modelling and on makeup. The group shoots are always great fun, the atmosphere is always relaxed and professional and Alastair makes sure the results are on point, but gives you space to experiment. Gemma did an amazing job with the Halloween makeup and brought two unique and terrifying looks for us to capture.

Looking forward to the next group shoot once it's allowed again.

Returned to Alastair's studio for an enjoyable evening group shoot. The theme was flour and powder paint, so with LottiiRose's energy, Alastair's planning and co-ordination, we got some great images. Thanks, looking forward to the next one!

My second time working with Alastair at one of his workshops - This time a long expousre and light play session and I've already got two more sessions in the pipeline. Always a pleasure coming to these. Alastair is very knowledgeable and adjusts his shoots to his audience working with beginner, intermediate and advanced photographers simultaneously. I went along to this one from a last minute casting where there was a space left. He was quick to and concise with his communications given the short time scale we had and he gave me a very warm welcome back to the studio for the first time in over a year! A very fun, friendly and relaxed shoot with a lot of experimentation. Can't wait for the next one (And this time it won't be so long!) Thank you Alastair. I recommend your events to anyone.

Another successful Group shoot last Thursday at Alastairs. I was excited to hear our Pin Up Group shoot sold out in one afternoon! Alastair arranged our group shoot quickly and was well organised on the day especially considering there are now social distance guidelines etc for the studio. Alastair spent 10 mins at the start outlining new procedures and rules and making sure everyone felt comfortable for the shoot. He outlined a plan for the group shoot and everyone followed it well. I am really pleased with the photos produced too - I think the Pin Up workshop created the best results so far. I would always highly recommend Alastair himself as a photographer and his studio to book or attend for a group shoot - hopefully we can do another one soon :) xx
