Alan booked me to shoot a gothic, dance and aerial shoot with FemmeArt at Natural Light last week. His pre-shoot comms were great, we planned everything without any trouble at all. On the day Alan was a total pleasure to work with, the atmosphere was very relaxed and creative which was super :) His concepts allowed me to be very experimental which was also lovely, and I got to pull lots of 'creature of the night' faces, yay (I love to do expressive shoots!). Alan is a super creative photographer and a lovely guy, highly recommended by me and I would be very happy to work with him (and FemmeArt!) again. Thanks Alan!

I can honestly say it's worth a shoot with you every single time! You are never to disappoint with what we produce and I know when all my limbs ache at the end of a shoot it will be sooooo worth it because the images are always amazing.

Artemis Fauna

Yet another fabulous shoot with Alan this weekend! This time he joined myself and DarrenS for our Halloween themed event!!

Loads of ideas to work on in the four hours we had, lots of laughing, fun, and cool images taken!

As with all the other shoots before- time flew by and I am looking forward to the next time I can work with Alan :) Thank you, Alan :)

I had a fab shoot with Alan yesterday during my studio day at Studio Fifty Eight. He arrived on time with lots of props and he knew exactly what type of images he wanted to create.

Chatty, friendly and professional throughout and the images looked stunning! :D I felt completely comfortable working with him and hope to work with him again soon!

They turned up on time, full of ideas and awesome props! Alan was I charge of shooting and he rocked it! On the back of the camera the photos looked awesome! I cant wait to see them finished!

Well I am that far behind in admin that I owe Alan 2 references, one from our second shoot together alongside Artemis at her home last month, and then another for our shoot together together at Sandon studio :)

After our last 2 shoots both being duo work it was really lovely working with him on a 1-2-1 basis today :)

He came prepared with a sheet of ideas as usual as well as some stunning clothing and props to use! It was a seriously fun shoot and flew by far too quickly!!

Cannot recommend him more highly, hope to work with him again next time I'm passing through :)

Wow ... what can I say about Alan that hasn't been said already?

It's like excellent photographs just come natural to Alan, I never see him looking particularly struggled and he doesn't mess about thinking too much. His starter points for concepts are always really interesting and great for your inner actress!

He's funny, kind, inspiring and relaxed - the perfect photographer.

I had a great shoot with Alan, as part of my model studio day at MAP Studio. He is professional, easy to get on with and allows you to input ideas as well as giving direction clearly. His spectacular ideas are very exciting and he continually develops them throughout the shoot. We shot some wonderful, most bizarre circus themes-and I must say it is like no other. Fabulously unique and totally 'out there'. Love Alan's style and way of working. Highly recommended! I look forward to working together again on my next visit! Thank you xx

I had a wonderful shoot today with Alan & his wife, Alison during my studio day at Map today!... I contacted Alan to see if he was interested in working together after seeing his portfolio, which is very impressive! In a couple of messages we had a shoot booked in!... Alan's comms were great!...

When it came to shooting it was such a delight and really fun!... Alan and Alison are very relaxed and work perfectly as a team, Alan shoots and Alison styles and is really the creative director!... We had lots of giggles and chats...But most importantly we got some really amazing images!...

Alan's lighting skills are fantastic... Very theatrical and well thought out!...

We worked on a dark circus theme and they both allowed me to work with clothing options and really bring my own style to the images!...

Such a brilliant shoot!... I would certainly recommend them both... They have some very creative ideas which will always be produced to a very high standard!...

I do hope to work with them again & thank you to you both!...

Alan and his wife photographed both myself and my good friend April at a studio day we held last month. The shoot was one of the most memorable we'd had as a pair, costumes and props always get us excited to play dress up.. Throughout the shoot Alan gave clear and polite direction which made it easy to get on board with his ideas and hopefully we nailed it. If you shoot with these guys you'll end up wishing all your shoots were like this one - absolutely recommended from me.

Had a brilliant time shooting with Alan for the first time as a duo with Artemis. Alan was friendly, easy going, great to converse with and generally a nice person to be around.

Whilst shoot we managed to get along and all of us were able to put our ideas together and create beautiful results.

I do hope we are able to shoot again in the future and thank you for a wonderful experience.

Yet another successful Jack Vettriano event with Alan last weekend! I know it's the third time we have done this event but we manage to get something different every time- the fun never ends!

Yesterday, i had the pleasure of working with Alan on a studio day i was doing in milton keynes. I was flattered when he got in touch and said he wanted to work with me as he has stunning work which is evident in his port!

He came along with his lovely wife who also enjoys photography and worked together as a team beautifully, discussing ideas and choosing items for me to wear and bouncing off each other to make sure they got the shot they were after. This was a really lovely touch to the shoot to see them working together beautifully. Both were amazingly lovely and genuine people. They had some specific ideas they were after and wanted to shoot which was brilliant as it was something new to me and a challenge, one in which i thoroughly enjoyed. I was fencing :-) so much fun but its always nice when photographers have a clear image in mind of what they are after. They both have extremely creative minds and there is always stories to their images which make their photography a fantastic form of art and it was a total pleasure to be part of one of their stories.

I had a great shoot and would highly recommend them both and hope to have the opportunity to work with them again in the future

I worked with Alan on a studio day today, and it was a great experience. He gave good direction of which poses worked best, captured the best moments even thought the hoop I was working on kept rotating, he did very well at catching it just right - which is a quite difficult thing to photograph, I wouldn't tell that it was his first time working with an aerialist :)I loved the pictures on the back of the camera and looking forward to see them soon :)

Alan and his wife made a fantastic team, and really lovely people to work with. It was a very cheerful shoot, and I'm looking forward for the next :)

I worked with Alan (and his wife) at Pipewell Hall, on a creative theme. I was modelling alongside another model (Lady B). As always, both Alan and his wife were warm, friendly and caring throughout the shoot. I felt comfortable working with Alan and the shoot was very relaxed, with lots of conversation. I highly recommend Alan to other models and hope to work with him again soon! :)

Had my first, but hopefully not last, shoot with Alan and his partner, Alison, today, and what a fabulous day it was!

A lovely couple, very professional but also very easy to get on with, they made me feel immediately comfortable and welcome.

We had discussed the ideas and concepts in excellent pre-shoot comms, and both were well prepared with outfits, props and accessories. Illustrating their concepts with photo's, pictures and books ensured I also had a clear idea of what they had in mind.

Following meet and greet, with coffee and biscuits, we headed off for some shooty fun, and it certainly was. A day of creativity, wild imagination, lots of dressing up ensued, plus a lovely lunch, and afternoon tea, and a good few laughs.

A thoroughly enjoyable day, sunshine, great location, awesome photography, lots of fabulous images and really lovely company, I couldn't have asked for more.

Would I recommend Alan (and Alison)? Hell yes!
