A second workshop at Adam's little gem of a studio, and it's lovely to be able to use the phrase 'adds value' in the sense of Adam's presence actually making the experience better for everyone there - the model, the photographers, and me as tutor.

All the lights work, exactly the way they are meant to. Everything's neat and tidy: and it's possible to do far more in a studio that's so well designed and managed than you'd ever expect in the space.

Sets are created with ease, and a couple of carefully-placed props make everything just SO. A lesson in creative minimalism!

Will I be back? Yes! Thank you so much, Adam.

I met Adam for the first time at his lovely studio in Derby.. I was welcomed on arrival to a lovely studio space which was fully equipped & warm with the hospitality of a tea or coffee on arrival!

Adam is professional & friendly he managed a few shots himself which looked amazing on the back of the camera.

We have discussed a model day at the studio & I was very pleased to acccept for in the new year… So I look forward to working with Adam again & totally recommend to all models & creatives.

This was my third time shooting at Adam's studio and my second time with him as photographer for a duo shoot. As always, had a very productive session full of great ideas, helpful suggestions and feedback, and lots of laughs, and the end results look amazing.

Had a great first shoot with Adam at his lovely studio, it was a pleasure to meet him and work with him.

Adam is respectful, kind, professional and fun-loving. Pre comms were great and the entire booking experience was straightforward from start to finish.

Adam organised a great group shoot for the morning session, which went smoothly with several outfit and lighting changes. Everyone got some great images and it's wonderful to see the final images being posted.

Adam is a seasoned professional and has a wealth of knowledge and talent. He clearly enjoys photography, which is inspiring and made the shoot an enjoyable experience for us both. In the afternoon we worked one to one, which again was a great and enjoyable experience with plenty of outfit changes, experimental lighting and creative ideas flowing. Back of camera photos looked good and I'm looking forward to seeing the final images!

Highly recommended and I do hope we work together again 😊

I shot with Adam again recently when he booked me for a group shoot and studio slots at his studio in Derby.

He was a pleasure to work with again, clear in what to bring along and what he was looking to shoot during our 121 shoot. We shot some really cool and unique ideas, in different areas of the studio and with a range of fabrics and props.

Adam is very creative and he is always friendly, kept me caffinated and comfortable throughout the day and he even picked me up and dropped me back at the station.

I recently had the pleasure of shooting in Adam's studio once again, and as always, he did not disappoint! Adam's studio, which has recently expanded, continues to be one of my favourite places on Earth. The atmosphere is always inspiring, and Adam's creativity knows no bounds. As Arnold Schwarzenegger famously said, "I'll be back!" and I certainly will be. I highly recommend Adam and his studio for any creative endeavour. His passion, expertise, and welcoming environment make working with him an absolute joy. Oh and he have biscuits !

I shot with Adam at his Derby-based studio for the first time last week and really enjoyed it. The shoot flew by, we had very clear ideas of what we wanted to shoot as Adam had sent over a mood board etc and his use of lighting is brilliant.

Adam is the studio manager, he does a great job in getting people together and involves everyone in to the shoot. On this occasion I was involved in a group shoot, at Adam’s den. Adam’s has loads of props and a vast selection of hardware too many to list, if your a new comer to studio action you won’t be left out of the group. Adam’s studio is well lit clean and tidy. My second group shoot at Adam John's studio in Derby. And also our second one to one shoot.

Adam is really easy to get on with from the start. We click and I find shooting with him very natural and comfortable. Adam has a lovely studio which he shoots in for work and pleasure. There are always lots of props, backdrops, and the facilities are clean and well looked after.

Adam himself is a genuine guy. We get on well. I enjoy shooting with him, we try different ideas at a relaxed pace. Adam was also very understanding that my back was playing up, and we worked around it and actually it was fine throughout the shoot. Adam is also a great teacher and we had two new ladies on the group shoot. I liked the way he mentored them.

A great photographer and studio to shoot in, if you are in Derby, suitable for all abilities of photographers!

I shot with Adam for the first time recently, during a workshop/group shoot at The Loft Studio, Enderby (where he helped out and made sure I had tea and was kept warm with a robe he warmed on the heater!)

He was super easy to work with, helpful and professional! We got some great images too, I look forward to organising something at his studio in Derby soon, recommended :)

Artemis Fauna

Back in July of this year (3 months before the studio event) Adam contacted me and we arranged a day at his new studio in Derby. All details, including what we were going to shoot genre and style wise, were sorted in July and the slots filled up nicely over the weeks.

We shot a morning group shoot and did 3, 1-2-1 sessions in the afternoon.

The studio was easy to find, free parking on a Sunday. The space was small but very well equipped and the toilet that doubled up as the changing room was clean.

I was away for 6 weeks prior to this event so didn't manage to reply to a message for 48 hours where Adam was checking in with me- 6 days before the event- so he panicked a little and contacted me in 4 different places- I assured him that if someone books Artemis Fauna, she will be there... ;) I of course was and the day went very well. Nice group of people :)

Lots of shooting, chatting, learning about the area I now live. Tea, coffee and biscuits (and jelly babies) on hand- a very enjoyable day which went by very fast!

I'm sure I will be back :) Thanks Adam :)

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday morning at Adam's group shoot with Artemis. The studio space is compact but very workable and offers the usual studio opportunities as well as some lovely natural light through the windows.

All the photographers in the shoot were nice people who worked well together and were respective of each others time and skill level.

Adam himself couldn't have been nicer and Artemis was a fabulous model who was keen to help everyone get the images they envisioned.

Thanks to everyone but a very big "Thank You" to Adam for putting the event on. Until next time...

I was so thrilled to be contacted by Adam to arrange a maternity shoot in his studio.

Adam was brilliant with pre comms, friendly and chatty. He was happy for me to bring my husband along as I needed assistance changing being heavily pregnant.

When I arrived at the studio he came down to meet us both and we hit it off straight away. The studio is a lovely space. Opportunities for natural light but also studio lighting. He has lots of props, sets, backdrops and lighting. It was fantastic to be able to experiment together and I really enjoyed my time there. When I became slightly overheated with being pregnant he was on it and pulled out an amazing fan! Tea and coffee was also provide which my husband enjoyed.

Thoroughly enjoyed working with him and I hope we get to work together again in the future.
