Hello and welcome to Redtree Studio!

We are based in Nottingham, close to the Railway Station, Tram stop and Unity Square. We have over 2000 square feet available to use for workshops, product and people photography.

We arrange and host studio days for models, so if you're a model looking to book a venue to host a day/days then get in touch to discuss arrangements.

In-house photographer, Richard Lamb is available for your portfolio shoots too, just £25.00 per hour on top of the required studio rental fee (see below) + £50 image processing fee.

Our kitchen is always stocked with free refreshments and our guest WiFi is always ready!

Our spaces are available to hire at hourly rates or for half / full days and we have a full range of lighting options with modifiers. Triggers are available for Canon / Nikon / Sony / Fuji / Olympus / Panasonic / Pentax cameras.

Shutter Club and Shutter Club Plus

'Shutter Club' is our free monthly social gathering for creatives to meet, greet and expand their network. It runs on the first Thursday of the month (except April and October). There will be free refreshments, occasional photography challenges & competitions and a very warm welcome. It's an excellent way to come and see the studio facilities and see what we have to offer.

  • Winter (Nov. - Mar.) - 6:30pm-8pm

'Shutter Club Plus' is a paid monthly group shoot event for photographers of any level. Starting at just £25 per person, we will have a maximum of 6 photographers per model on the evening. See below for our latest 'plus' event and to book your place.

We run and can host Studio Days and photography events. More details and session booking information is available from our website here.

We also host studio days if you wish to run them yourself, so get in touch for special day rates for PP models. We have two packages depending on whether you need us to collect payments / bookings.

Don't forget to sign up to our newsletter to get at least 24 hours notice for new events before being published elsewhere, together with news and special pricing etc.

2024 Studio Hire Rates

  • Weekday per hour rental: £22.00 per hour (min 2 hours)
  • Weekday half day rental: £70.00 per half day (4 hours, morning or afternoon *)
  • Weekday full day rental: £135.00 per full day (8 hours)

  • Weekday Evening (after 6pm) and Saturday per hour rental: £27.50 per hour (min 2 hours)

  • Saturday half day rental: £85.00 per half day (4 hours, morning or afternoon *)
  • Saturday full day rental: £165.00 per full day (8 hours)

  • Sunday 4 hours starting between 10am and 11:30AM £110.00
  • Sunday full day rental (8 hours) £165.00 (must end by 6pm)

* Morning bookings must end by 1:30pm and Afternoon bookings must start at or after 1pm to qualify. Normal hourly rates apply if outside of those times.

Transport links and Parking

Parking is usually available at Karlsruhe House during weekend shoots. Weekdays, we have a single space available upon request. Car Park is the last entrance off Waterway Street West (NG2 1NL).

Blue badge holders can park using spaces on Traffic Street if required. Use our postcode of NG2 1NB for your destination and you will see the spaces before you reach the pedestrianised section of Queens Bridge Road. Please call the studio number on 0115 678 3332 when you arrive if you need access to the lift via the rear entrance.

Alternative parking just 2 minutes away at Nottingham Train Station at reasonable day rates and on Crocus Street between Sheriffs Way and Arkwright Street. Broadmarsh Car Park with many Electric charging bays also just a 5 minute walk away.

Nottingham Train Station and Tram stop is just a 2 minute walk away (head past the big Unity Square building as you exit the front of the station, pass the Vat and Fiddle pub at Castle Rock Brewery and enter Karlsruhe House under the green sign). 

Lots of Bus links near the station on Carrington Street and the Broadmarsh Bus Station.

Press Number 4 when you get to the lobby of Karlsruhe House or call us if the blue door is locked.
