How many shoots did you do in 2024 and plans for next year?

With the loss of my regular model, ( probably did 24 shoots with her 2 years ago ) and the amount of upheaval I've had, I've probably done 40 shoots this year. Large percentage have been TF . 

I only did 3 this year, I’d planned to do more.  Not sure about 2025 though, my zero hours day job has become extremely unreliable, even though they keep reassuring us that there will be more work available.  Number of shoots I do is dependent on how much I earn.

Having been away from this hobby for 18 years, I made something of a comeback in 2020. However, I found it difficult to pick things up again. Much had changed, and Covid didn't help. Having dabbled for a while, I decided that 2024 would either be my making - or my swansong. That sounds a bit dramatic, but a failing hobby.... Not my thing at all.

So , I upgraded the kit and pulled out all the stops - with a total of 31 shoots in 2024. .

It's been a whirlwind of trying to get my mojo back by trying out new studios and meeting as many models as I could. Success has been mixed on all three fronts, but I've learned a lot along the way - not least that I will need to try harder in the coming year. Cost however, will be a big factor. I've overspent and that cannot continue.

Less quantity, more quality is my objective for 2025 and perhaps plucking up the nerve to try TFP, which I certainly didn't consider myself worthy of at the start of the year.

due to life and the day job sadly only did one shoot this year.however that will change next year when i move from south yorkshire to blackpool to run an hotel once settled i plan to do at least one shoot a month at least i will have a place to shoot in a 16 bedroom hotel and not have the usual issues when using an hotel be cause i will be the management it is my intention that the hotel be model/tog friendly and to allow rooms to be used for shoots

Nice. I remember a long time ago there was a hotel manager on here that would occasionally (once a year), close the hotel for a couple of days to put these huge shooting events on. Hotel de Vie I think it was? 

I can't work out how many shoots I have had in the year but I have been to Italy, Portugal and France on either arranged by someone else or self arranged.

Expensive obviously!

I have been to the North West, the North East, the South and the end of Cornwall and all stations in between.

And quite a few at home.

I'm getting too old for this sort of thing!

All paid shoots.

But I had a "thanks for the memory shoot" with my "ultimate model".

I don't rack up a scorecard of shoots.

They just pop up as and when.

Apart from having Covid which nearly killed me it has been a wonderful year.

I'm finishing it with no camera in hand in the Canaries for Christmas in the sun.

7 shoots this year and nothing actually booked for 2025.  There are models that I would like to work with again but it depends on how things develop over the coming year.

Have been quite unwell this year and a lot going on so not as many as I'd hoped, but 2025 I'm hoping to get back on track and get at least 1 or 2 a month. Fingers crossed 

For reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I did zero shoots this year.

I fully intend to do more than that next year.

I secretly hope to do many more than that, but it's good to keep your goals achievable ;)

My intention is to get through my WTWW list this year (as long as it stays static and those models in Europe come to the UK!)

Eight for me. Out of action much of the time but plenty of diversity in my shoots. Next Year? Who knows.

Only 2x this year. Funds, time and health restrictions. Looking to next year to see if the restrictions get less.

This year I did 48 myself and in addition I assisted about ten photographers who came to work in my studio.
For next year I hope to do about the same number of shoots.

I did 22 this year I think. I had an influx of TF shoots which surprised me but I really enjoyed them and felt they were some of my best shoots for finding what I want to do going forward 😊

At the moment for 2025 I have plans for 3 shoots that are booked and 1 that is in the discussion stage but I don't know what I will do after those as I'm in the process of changing jobs.

I do know that concept wise I'm becoming more focused on what I'm trying to convey in my images.
