Apathy in the UK?

Apathy.
Engagement across a lot of social media platforms is dropping like mad (unless you're a tiktoker).
I do a fair few private shoots but those are the ideas and images that the model wants as opposed to what I want and I can't/won't share them anywhere.
Sometimes, when I do have the time and money, I just can't think what I want to shoot and who with. I'll see a casting and think to myself "yes i could definitely work with her" but then not do anything about. I just get the 'can't be arsed' feeling.
I get that as well & especially cause of the lack of time, which kind of exacerbates the situation.

My health isn't great at the moment, so this is where my time is currently is being spent.
Don't want to highjack the thread, but anyone else play RDR2 ...?

Double vision. No driving, no moving stuff around, seeing the light settings, seeing the camera let alone the viewfinder.

Anxiety. I haven't mentally recovered from the pandemic yet
Oh actually, well shooting myself, more than ever. Nearly every day š. Shooting so much that I can't be arsed to edit. Lol
But, yes, shooting with others, anxiety and illness from medical treatment is a huge driving factor. I have offers of paid work. It's frustrating not managing to get into a position where I can take that up.

Really hope things improve for you on this :)

Iām shooting more than ever. 8 shoots this month. Booked up until September. Models significantly increasing rates is going to dampen down paid activity (but have a large backlog of TFP offers) so will be interesting to see how it goes later in the year.

Poverty and a job that likes to keep my roster a secret until the last minute.
Yep, I used to be in a job like that - the minute I made plans, it's like they knew & dumped a ton of overtime on me!

If I don't shoot models these days it's down to money.
Most of the time i take my camera to family events. Every year now I make a book of my niece.
If I have the time, I can shoot.

Shot today, will shoot tomorrow, and the day after, and have a race to shoot two days after that.
Weather and ventilation have helped.

Withdrawal, not apathy. But gradually getting back to usual schedules. Probably have to give it up later this year, so I need to attack my 'to do' list while I'm still able to.
Orson, you can't give up ! - you're contractually obligated for at least another 30 years !! ;)
