How does one get the very best image quality on Purpleport? I am Totally confused!

It slowly dawned on me as I worked my way through the pages of this thread that it started life six years ago and has been lying dormant until reactivated today. I clicked on the OP's avatar, as I didn't recognise the name, and see that the account was permanently removed.
I expect there are few posts like this, gathering dust in the archives, just waiting for their moment in the sun again.

I am happy enough with the image quality on PP but instagram mangles them terribly. I started a thread here and got lots of good advice. All of which I followed yet still they are crap! :(

A retina display is irrelevant, the image will look exactly the same as any JPEG of the same resolution. The issue is people trying to view a 900 pixel wide image at full screen and then wondering why it looks naff.

It's not just Apple, look at BT and their continually renamed broadband offerings. What's the difference between Infinity, Superfast and Ultrafast? Or was that Ultrafast 2? ;-)

I load from dropbox.....I keep all my images in there like a library, take them out to edit then put them back into an edited album then load from the pp Dropbox link, doesn't seem to matter what size they are.
