Notifications not cancelling.

On my iPhone and iPad, I’ve noticed in the last couple of days, that the red notification box on the speech bubble, will not cancel itself once I have looked at the notifications. However, if I open the notifications on my PC, it does cancel.

I had a spell of seeing the same phenomenon on my PC a couple of days back, but it seems to have resolved itself (for me at least).

It has started doing it on my PC now, I have to open and close every single notification in order to cancel them out 😡

I can't reproduce the problem.

Are you clicking on a notification and then hitting "back"?

What do I have to do in order to see the same results as you?

I've got this problem too, last few days, MacBook, iPad and phone using firefox.

Don't have the problem, using Safari.

Russ Freeman (staff) said, 1651855467

I don't get it on FireFox, Brave, Edge, or Chrome on PC, and I don't get it on my Safari on my iPhone either.

I've noticed the same, last couple of days, mainly on Firefox.

Perhaps those experiencing the problem can let us know the steps to reproduce the problem?

Perhaps also try disabling addons and extensions to see if one of them is causing the issue?

On my iPad or iPhone, I just open the home page as usual, and as usual there are a number of notifications indicated. I click on the red notifications box to see/read them, and normally if I click ‘back’ or click on the PP logo, or just refresh the page, the red notifications box disappears. But now (it started a few days ago), the notifications keep piling up and won’t go away. I have tried logging out, refreshing, shutting down, but they are still there. Up until today, I had to log on with my PC and open the first one, click back or refresh, and they were all gone, but now even that doesn’t work.

I am struggling to imagine it, or why it might have suddenly started happening as we haven't changed anything in that area for a long while.

Can you make a video of it somehow?

It's absolutely fine on my iPhone with Chrome.

It seems to have corrected itself for now - I saw the notification from yourself, opened it, and all the other notifications cleared!

Not sure if related: I just had a notification of ten photos uploaded by one model.

I had to click this notification ten times before it went away -- it went down by one each time I clicked it, and it didn't seem to matter which of the images in the preview I clicked.

macOS Monterey (12.1) Safari (15.4), but if you like I can switch to another browser for a while and wait to see if it happens again.

Unfocussed Mike You should have just had two notifications.  How do they behave in your other browser?

Whoops was still in the same browser (I am working today so not switching between). I had some other notifications and they didn't all dismiss in one go.

Not sure what is going on. I will log out in this one to force myself to test in the other and try logging in from Brave or Firefox.
