How to Search for Images using Tags

Do you want to see all of the images that your three favourite PurplePort members have worked on together? Perhaps you want to search for images tagged with things like ballet, dancer and dancephotography. Or maybe you're looking for inspiration for your next beach photoshoot, and you're looking for images tagged with things like "surf", "beach", "sea", "ocean", "waves".
Well, we've got the perfect thing for you: The Image Search feature.
What is the image search feature?
The Image Search feature is a great way to search for images tagged with a keyword or member (or both) on PurplePort. You can find this feature on the grey cog menu (top right) under the heading Images on the homepage. It's also on the Images home page, under the heading Image related tools.
PurplePort staff members use this feature (especially the Keyword search) to find fabulous images to promote in posts on The Purple Blog. So, if you'd like the chance for your image to appear on our blog, make sure you add great keyword tags to your images!

How to use the images search feature
Go to the Image Search feature:
- Type the tag you wish to search for in the box (either Keywords to search or Members to search)
- When similar tags appear in a drop-down list, click the tag you want to use (if a tag isn't listed in the drop-down, it's because the tag does not exist)
- Images associated with the tag/tags you've chosen will appear below (if no images appear in the results, it's because the tag exists, but right now no one has added that tag to their images)
You can also search for images by tag when viewing an image. In the bottom right of the image, click on a keyword or member tag added to the image, and this will automatically load the Image Search feature showing all of the images with that tag.
If you add multiple tags to your search, only images tagged with all of those tags will appear.
Sometimes it's hard to know what to search for. Click the View popular tags button to see the most popular tags being used on PurplePort.
You can narrow down your search even further by ticking Front Page Images Only to see only images in the results that are also in the Front Page Image (FPI) collection.
