Had my third shoot today at WN1 a great studio run by great people.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Karen on Saturday when I attended a social networking event at WN1 Studios.

It was such a pleasure to meet Karen and work with her at the studio. We shot in three areas, the natural light in the stairwell is excellent, the upstairs room was enhanced with rusty corregated iron and made a nice set, and finally we shot against the black backdrop with Karen in a bright red dress with the wind machine blowing her hair.

The images are stunning as is Karen

I would definitely recommend Karen and the WN1 Studios to any photographer. (or Model)

I have been back! Shooting the sexy KarenR on Saturday and shooting two cosplay friends on Sunday. Excellent private changing facilities, fantastic settings including a whole floor of natural lighting. And they have plans for so much more. I need a b'n'b facility here!

I had my first group shoot at WN1 and got to meet some great photographers. Graham was very friendly and showed me around the different rooms.

It's full of natural light and great space. I got to use the black room which looked great with red lighting.

I'd definitely recommend WN1 it's got some great rooms and different areas to shoot in.

A great night tonight at a 'new' studio in Wigan. WN1 has been launched by two friends, Karen and Graham. They have been working hard, and it shows! Excellent facilities, lots of rooms and a friendly kettle. Images to follow. Beautiful model too, Jennifer.

And I am back there on Saturday and Sunday for my own private shoots! Love it!

I was first time at the studio on 27/04/2017, did not know what to expect , BUT

The model Jennifer was absolutely fab, warm welcome and great connection with other photographers.

and the Graham hmmmm.... this is a guy ...top man...helpful , full of knowledge

could chat with him for a very long time, but Jennifer was waiting , so could not miss the shoot.

I went to a Tuesday evening event at this new studio. You get a very warm welcome when you arrive, a guided tour of the building and constant offers of tea and coffee.

They had arranged for a fabulous model for this event (Rhianna Grey)and the evening was really enjoyable with a great friendly group of photographers all helping each other and a lot of hard work put in by Rhianna.

There are lots of different rooms available at the studio that should help photographers be very creative.

Well worth a visit, A highly recommended studio.

What a great first shoot at this brand new studio! And what an amazing studio it is! I was completely blown away by it! So spacious, with a few rooms both down and upstairs, allowing for plenty of ideas and styles.

The group that came along were so welcoming and lovely to work with, plus Karen and graham really know how to look after their Models.

I look forward to returning there hopefully some time soon.

Triple Exposure Photography

We had the pleasure of shooting at WN1 Studios tonight as part of a group shoot with the lovely Rhianna Grey.

It's a fantastic place to shoot with loads of different areas to work with and a warm and friendly atmosphere was created by Graham and Karen who were excellent host's.

My first shoot at the newest Northwest shooting venue. WN1 is situated in Wigan town centre, 5 minutes walk from both train stations and central bus depot. Parking two minutes away. Loads of space and shooting areas over three floors plus a private outdoor studio.

Shooting over a three hour session with Rahel Kapsaski we did not have time to use of all the opportunities there and a further session is already planned. We did make use of the massive natural light studio, with multiple backdrops and backgrounds. We also took advantage of the outdoor studio, a long alley to shoot in with a fabulous 'dungeon door' a cast iron door with bars! An architectural glass backdrop, natural stone, and some distressed brickwork, all in an extremely private area despite its central location.

We did not get around to the Black Studio, really interesting carabiners in a ceiling beam for a swing, swinging seat, or ropework, or the Studio with an awesome couch for more intimate shots. There is also a cast iron staircase which will also provide great shooting opportunities.

A spacious and private changing area, toilet and kitchen are also available.

This is a very spacious studio with loads of areas and opportunities to use and explore. The team also have many ideas for further developments. Highly Recommended.

Had my first shoot at WN1 a couple of weeks ago. Love the new studio and what they did with it. Has some absolutely lovely sets, private spacious changing room and an outside area to shoot in as well. Such wonderful people who run it as well

Highly recommended and will be the first studio I will propose to any photographer! :)

Another visit to Zan for me this morning! Turned out a little bit different from our planned shoot, but all parties were adaptable and we ended up working hard and having a terrific time! Thanks you Karen & Graham, for a brilliant 'We got muscle' morning!

I had the great pleasure of working at zan studios last thursday and i cant recommend them enough they provide a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Despite not feeling the greatest over last week the guys took it easy on me and made my experience there a great one, highly recommended and i hope i get the chance to visit the studio again.

I can't recommend this studio enough. I'm certainly going back. In fact, after the terrific day I enjoyed it's now my first choice of studios.

This is a small studio and/but for me that makes for a better experience. I felt almost part of the place rather than simply a visiting photographer. I think this is due to the reception one gets.. Actually you don't get any sort of 'reception'. rather, a thoroughly sort of laidback atmosphere hits you when you walk in that still manages to convey it's still a Studio that means business as far as making photos is concerned.

How about this? As I was unpacking my gear I got talking to Graham, one of the proprietors about cameras (as you do). He then went and fetched his own camera, an Olympus. Now I've always liked their cameras, I once owned an OM1 for those that might remember it. I was so obvious he really loved his camera as we all do when it's helped us to produce some memorable shots, and when I asked him if I could have a play with it I got the impression he was the tiniest bit nervous about letting me hold his baby!

To get to the point: My camera packed up. Refused to fire the strobes. Ok, I did have another in reserve but the fact was, I was so stunned by this it sort of threw me off my feet as it were. What did he do? Promptly offered me the very camera he'd shown such affection for to me to use.

Graham, thanks for that - and thanks for running me back to the station afterwards. I'm so looking forward to coming up again and attending some of the location shoots the Studio holds during the summer months.

This is a great Studio that I'd recommend to all.

I used Zan Studio for a family photo shoot after not being there for several months. I was impressed by all the new props, backdrops and second studio they have. Would recommend if you need a studio in the Wigan area.Easy to book, great rates and always a friendly welcome.

I worked at Zan studio with Hilaire (Robin) on my recent tour.

I found it to be a well equipped studio and a great space to work in. Everyone was friendly, professional and I was warm and comfortable.

Definitely recommended! :D

I had the pleasure of taking part in another group shoot at zan studio a couple of months ago. Each time i attend the group events, they have been an absolute blast. The guys that come along to the studio are respectful and a good laugh. It's hard to come away from there without having had a few good giggles in between shooting.

Also, Karen, Graham and Jim make a great team and always make me feel welcome. Thanks again to Graham for kindly offering to run me home due to storm Doris effecting times of trains.

I'm more than impressed with the images I have seen from that night, and I look forward to shooting at their new studio tomorrow evening.

Sooooo today i shot with Geoff which is an old friend of mine and he picked this studio and i must say IM SO HAPPY HE DID!!!

the studio has 2 rooms! and there is so much you can do!! the studio offers alot to models and photographers and to top it off ....... IT WAS NICE, WARM AND COSY !!!

as soon as i arrived i got offered a coffee and had good banter! by me going to Zan i meet the owner and another photographer so i got two shoots in one!!

David is stupidly professional and friendly he even dropped me off in manchester ! now that says it all!

ive been told i will be asked to go back and i hope i do!!!!!

I have used Zan Studios for the first time and worked with Karen R , the studio is well equipped , but Karen made me feel welcome and what a model she is . Been with Karen if like been in a nice dream and never wanted it to end. As soon as I got into the building I was met with a smiling face and on went the kettle can’t wait to use the studio again and hope that the lovely Karen is there.
