References for Worksop Photographic Studio (WPS)

An excellent studio, that is conveniently located and has a wide array of sets, props, backgrounds and some fantastic lighting equipment. In the five hour shoot today with many set changes, we ran out of time to use everything. The Manager who runs it is such a nice guy too, welcoming with hot drinks, assistance with setting up the lights and demonstrating how the equipment works if you need any help. There is a separate changing room (important for the model), and a break-out area with a tea and coffee point if you need to take a break. Nothing is too much trouble, I shall definitely be making use of this studio again. Lastly, there's a nearby car park, and the studio is a short (15 min) walk from Worksop station. In fact, I travelled by train, which made me all the more refreshed. Thank you!

The Butterfly Collector

Just a short note of thanks to Belle Noire and WPS. I'm a recent returner, having been away from studio photography for many years. To be helped, cajoled and guided by Illy and Andy was a welcome experience. Andy is a gentleman and his assistance and subtle changes to the studio are all welcome (IMHO). I wish him well.

Holding my first studio evening in about a decade me and Andy teamed up to create some amaaaaazing shots. We focused a lot on lighting and poses to get our guys thinking while there.

It was Andy that did my first ever portfolio to get on Purestorm 12 years ago but it felt like we'd been shooting all this time.

I'll be back there without a doubt!!

I had an excellent three hour shoot a couple of days ago at the revamped WPS studio which is now run by the experienced and very knowledgeable Andy Gallagher. Andy has put his own stamp on the studio adding, rearranging and reinventing what was created by the previous owner, Pete Dixon. My model for the day was the wonderful Alaria and with Andy’s help and guidance I’ve come away with some lovely images. He is helpful but not obtrusive. I would certainly recommend WPS to all togs out there!😀

Have used WPS studio many times over the years and I cannot recommend them enough. Lots of options, lots of lights and Pete always available to give advice on lighting if required.

First time shooting at the WPS!

I am based in Sheffield and I could not ask for a better location for this studio. A quick train journey and a short taxi ride (I am sure it's walking distance if I did not have my suitcase with me) and I've arrived!

Pete greeted us at the studio and was always at the hand ready to assist whenever we needed help with the lighting setup.

The studio itself has plenty of props and sets, with an option of natural light and tonns of lighting equipment. Separate changing room, with a big mirror and a toilet for model use only. Every room was also warm and cosy throughout.

I hope I will be back shooting at your studio again one day, thanks for having me!

My favourite studio. I have used thus studio over 100 timed . It is without doubt the best studio in the area. ,. numerous back drops a garage set a large bed a bar Egyptian set , i could go on for ever . hundreds of props including bow and arrow swords masks guns and many many more. But the best thing about the studio is Mr. Pete Dixon the owner A lovely man , very helpful in all ways, He is not obtrusive , but is always available if needed. I will be shooting there again in the near future

I had yet another wonderful shoot at WPS a couple of days ago, this time photographing the lovely model Alaria. The owner, Pete, is a friendly and helpful host - as one whose level of expertise on technical matters is still not the greatest I appreciate his unobtrusive but always available guidance. I emerged from the studio with an excellent set of varied images of Alaria and would recommend WPS with confidence to all togs!

Fantastic, spacious studio with various sets, props, lighting and backdrops.

Pete is an excellent, welcoming host who is always on hand when required.

He is very easy going and shows you around the studio upon arrival.

He totally respects the models privacy and always makes sure you have enough to drink (supplies some tasty treats too)

Plenty of parking outside the studio and Pete is a true gentleman...he helped me with all my luggage to the car.

Will be looking at booking a studio day at this place within the next few months for sure.

WPS beats any small studio with just a few rolls of paper backdrops ;)

Had a shoot here yesterday with Patrick, my second time shooting here. Plenty of backdrops, props, outfits with a lovely private changing room for the models. I would recommend this studio to anyone with it being one of my favourite studios. Hopefully work here again soon. :)

Pete at WPS has a fantastic studio which he manages very professionally,

It most importantly is a safe space for all his clients/models and his laid back and friendly manner is great. Everyone is put at ease as soon as they arrive in the plush reception area and the kettle is always on - I have now had a number of shoots at WPS and I am spoilt for choice on lighting equipment and photo sets. Loads and loads of space to get that trusty 70-200mm lens out. Pete is always very happy to assist if needed with the vast array of lighting equipment, backdrops and props. The clients/models are made to feel right at home and have a spacious well lit and private changing room to get prepared in. Car parking is excellent too. I highly recommend WPS for all your studio photography needs.

A fab shoot with a alsn 48 st this lovley studio , been before but a while ago , fab sets and changing room .pete the owner is welcoming and always on hand to help with lighting and sets etc , checking if warm enough , safe environment and a welcoming feel .

WPS is a Top Notch Studio and has loads and loads of space and sets, studio lights, backdrops and accessories. The coffee is brill too.

Peter the owner is always on hand to help if any technical or creative input is required for the inexperienced photographer.

The environment is a safe space and everyone is well protected. Free car parking is ample too. The place has a great friendly welcoming feel to it and I highly recommend it to all creatives - professional and hobbyists. Many of the studio members have been there for many years although it is open to non-members too - WPS is well worth a visit.

Another lovely shoot with Alan48 at WPS! Pete is always welcoming and is always on hand to help with anything. I love working at this studio! This time we used different lighting set ups and even used the protector to use some windows in the images. Pete was happy to set this all up for us, nothing is too much trouble. I had the pleasure of another lovely shoot at WPS. I was greeted by the wide grin of Pete, as he shook me warmly by the hand, and acquainted me with the coffee making facilities. Pete was on hand to help put a set together and advise on the various parts of the studio. He was also on hand to set up the lights. There's a great variety of sets there, and I found some perfect areas for what I wanted. Lovely studio, and a warm welcome. Pete was also on hand when I managed to find the wrong green door! Happy to recommend.
