My first shoot at West Surrey Studio and it certainly won't be my last. I love working with natural light and this studio is perfect for this. There are large windows all along one wall which flood the area and the white floor means that it is entirely possible to shoot at regular outdoor ISO settings.

Malcolm was a helpful host and all-in-all it was a pleasure to work there.

I will definitely use the studio again. 100% recommended.

My first shoot here and what a find.

I was working with Annie Goldman1 and we wanted somewhere that had lots of natural light as well as flash. And there are just so many options - fabulous natural light from the huge windows, sofas, chairs, white cove, graffiti wall, changing room, kitchen, coloured backdrops, hanging chair - and that's just the ones we used today.

I particularly liked that there is so much space which means you can just wander around trying different ideas and angles without having to move loads of stuff around.

I'd visited the studio a couple of weeks beforehand and Malcolm was super helpful showing me around and helping me to sort out the lighting triggers which needed a bit of work due to my camera, and everything worked great on the day.

I'd recommend the studio to anyone, whether it's for simple natural light in a great setting or for sophisticated lighting. I'll definitely be back.

My second shoot, here, and there will be many more. Frankly, I come for that big window, the natural light and the cove. But, Malcolm has all the lights and modifiers which also got pressed into service. Super space, kitchen, toilet, shower, etc. Location a very short walk from Hersham station, which is handy. Highly recommended.

Another great studio day here recently, I really love this studio it's got great natural light and the different areas you can use are great plus it's not too far from me either really so that also helps. Malcolm checked in to see if everything was ok and is only a message away if needed with any help but everything was left easy to find and use so there was no problem at all.

My 2nd shoot at West Surrey Studio (the first being organised by someone else) - comms were great with really clear instructions regarding access and use of the studio. Malcolm also offered to give me a pre-shoot walk through in his own time, and whilst I had been there before and this wasn't needed, it was certainly a welcome offer and show's the time and effort Malcom puts into his bookings.

The studio itself is really well kitted out with a kitchen, bathroom, changing area...all the spaces you need...and an absolutely bloody cavernous main shooting area! There are other spaces that you can shoot in, but I love the natural light that pours onto the cove and the industrial rafters beyond the top of the cove. It really is a great place to shoot!

Whether you're shooting 121, or as a group, there is plenty of room for a wide range of shoot styles and events. This shoot was a ballet & dance lighting workshop that I was hosting for a local camera club and despite there being 8 of us inc. the model, the space never felt cramped.

A very good, versatile studio that I will certainly be booking again.

Held a studio day here with leah meraki and Paul yesterday. This is a great studio lots of different set ups. Good sized changing room and kitchen. Also features a shower and a roll top bath. Huge windows for natural light. I will definitely be encouraging photographers who book me to use this studio. Great to have another local one to use!

I shot at West Surrey Studios last weekend, with Zara_Lee. It was an organised studio day and ran very smoothly. The studio has plenty of equipment and areas to shoot in, enough to give you many looks.I would certainly shoot there again.

My second shoot at WestSurreyStudios, and I can’t recommend this place highly enough! Set in a quiet trading estate, near Hersham Station, Walton on Thames, Surrey, this work space has all you need to create traditional or creative images with lighting, props furniture. The owner is very relaxed and always on hand, should you need guidance. Reasonable rates include everything inside. I will defiantly be back again soon. Thanks. Highly recommended.

First shoot at this studio and it went well communication from Malcolm was very good. The studio is quite large with excellent natural and studio lighting. There are plenty of room and props available to use. Definitely a studio to book for any future shoots.

What a fab studio this is, why I have never been here before I have no idea. It's a great space, good natural light (admittedly it was a sunny day), The main studio area is a good size, plenty of room. Malcolm's communication was very efficient. Plenty of cheap pay and display parking around the corner if you shoot in the week. I'll definitely be back. Thanks very much Malcolm

Back again for another studio day recently, I just can't get enough of this studio it's great and so much to choose from be it natural light, black or white backdrops or various other colours and there's so much space too which is really useful!

It's not too far from me either so it's definitely a go to studio I recommend to people now to be honest.

I'm sure it won't be long before I'm back again and if you haven't worked here yet then you need to!!!

I hired the studio with a bunch of aerialists to create some images for their portfolios.

Malcolm had made sure that everything we needed was in place. The artists with me were very impressed with the set up.

We rigged a 4m high frame for silks in front of the white cove and an X-Pole against a black wall and there was still loads of room to maneuver about

A first class studio, recommend to all.

My first shoot at this excellent sttudio went extemely well. Malcolm is a great host and just lets you get on with it which is just how it should be. The studio is large with plenty of lighting, props, and smaller rooms and alcoves off of the main shooting area. The main area features a very large white infinity cove which is painted reularly. The studio also has one long section of windows so shooting naturla light is also an option. Great studio, I will certainly be booking a session there again.

I recently hired the photography studio for a shoot and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The space is absolutely fabulous, with a large cove and great windows that allow for beautiful natural light shots. The studio had all the equipment I needed to execute my vision, making the shoot go smoothly and efficiently.

Overall, I would highly recommend this photography studio for anyone looking to rent a space. With their fantastic facilities and top-notch service, they truly exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be using this studio for my future shoots.

I had a photoshoot on March 4th 2023 at West Surrey Studio.

I received a very warm welcome from Malcolm. His studio is very well equipped and as I am travelling it was really great to have access to all of that. So you can have lights and flashes, different backdrops (black, white or colour), and a spot where you can work with natural light thanks to the two huge lateral windows. There is also some furniture (sofa, stools, etc.) and a few accessories.

Another plus is that the place was heated (models do appreciate!). There is also a backstage area for the model fully equipped with mirror (another great set for me) and heating.

Another asset, I came with the train and it is at a three minute walking distance from the station.

As a conclusion, great person, great studio (big enough for all your crazy ideas and for a long length). Thank you so much Malcolm !
