My shoot with Ian went well, he makes you feel very comfortable to be around, had his own ideas of what he wanted but also listened to my ideas and works well with you. Very talkative and funny, took a lot of great pictures and shared them with me. Aloud me to see pictures as we went along, I would definitely recommend! I would go back for sure, great photographer and person.

Shot with Ian for the first time today and it has been such a pleasure!
Ian travelled all the way down from Durham to work with me in my studio (he is only the second tog to come round!) and I really enjoyed the day! We shot using natural light available in the studio, and that was more than plenty. Ian was also really great at giving me feedback and direction, as well as trying my ideas. I am honestly really chuffed with how the photos look.
I could tell from pre-comms that he is a lovely human, but he is just such a funny and easy-going guy when you get to meet him in person, I would shoot with him forever and ever.
Thank you so much for working with me today, we achieved incredible results and I am so happy it was with you I got to shoot that in the studio first.
Ian gets my highest recommendation.
Let's shoot again soon,

Ian was a second ever photographer to work in our space.
Highly professional, full of energy, respectful and just great to be around!
Incredibly thankful that Ian have given us a permission to use his photos for our brand new account. Absolute legend.
Recommend to work with Ian,

Another killah shoot! And please take that literally because this shoot was quite literally: KILLER with a capital “K!” 😁 Only our second time working together, but my goodness did we get on it and slay some fabulous stuff!
Since my first visit: Ian has discovered what a fabulous house he has for natural light! I really loved the crisp studio work we did before... But I gotta admit to ogling all the cool enormous windows/areas that you could make use of the floods of light coming in... Well the most recent visit, Ian’s natural light game got it BADDDD! And I mean that in the goodest possible sense of course! 😅 He has since done a whole bunch of shoots and has obviously been exploring his fabulous location in all manner of creative ways. The stuff we did this time around was just magnificent: and we actually said on the day that when it comes down to it - it’s a very simple setup/area. But it’s having the eye! 👀 And Ian gots the eye! 😁 The difficultly was; which set was best haha... One shot after another in soft side light/rocking the hair porn, or moody/contrasty shapes popping the bone structure out. The noises we were making as we reviewed the shots must have been hilarious! 😂 So yah: Ian’s an epic person to shoot with, and it was so cool to see him grasping his own unique interest in photographic styles/gathering moodboards together and just really going for it. He’s got it technically and visually for sure!
*WARNING* Enter at your own risk of tea overdose! 😂 I’m a tea addict in every sense of the word... But even I struggle to keep up with the sheer number of brews this guy seems to magic out of nowhere! Basically you can take that as: colossally good hospitality! 👌🌟 Don’t worry coffee freaks - I’m sure he’s got your stuff as well. Though you may have to enquire further about the bean grade/if it’s grown in Tibetan mountain soil and whether it’s been roasted at 82 degrees for 7 days in a limestone inferno (or whatever other strange things you all do! Though Ian’s likely covered that too!) I can just confirm over here that he’s a pro with the herbal tea varieties! 🙋🏻♀️ Oh, and will get yummy munchies in too - models don’t go hungry/dehydrated that’s for certain! Box well and truly ticked for exemplary hospitality? I think so! 😃
The shoot was grand and all - like we made some insane images working together and gelled really well... But what on earth is a model supposed to do if they’ve cracked all their ribs laughing at the start of a tour? 🤣 Our chatterboxing never ceased for a second, and the laughs just kept on coming! Working with Ian is creatively inspiring, sure thing. But it’s also darn good fun?! He’s so easy going he’s horizontal, always upbeat and full of life - could honestly strike a rapport with anybody as he’s so good at breaking the ice and making models feel comfortable. 🙂 It’s a safe/professional environment in which you work as well with Ian being a totally decent guy through and through. All the important aspects of wellbeing/feeling at ease are met coherently. 👌
Really enjoyed my second shoot with you Ian! Will we do it again at some point! 😃

Had an absolutely smashing second shoot with Water14 at his home Studio in Durham. I stopped off to shoot with him on my way to Edinburgh during on the first day of my Edinburgh Tour.
Wow what a shoot! Water14 has a lovely spacious house to shoot from with incredible natural light. Planning was excellent and we had more than enough ideas to improvise on. Fabrics to pose from were provided too which was a huge bonus and really added to our shots.
We tried some experiments using natural light during our shoot. I love how free I can pose around this photographer he really pushes me to try new things I even tried some difficult poses. He’s incredibly positive, easy to work with and encouraging too.
Together we create absolute magic! I saw the photos and was beyond blown away. Water14 has a raw talent for photography and a creative eye towards art.
110% recommended!!
Thanks Water14 for another bloody fantastic, incredible amazing shoot!

I have Shot with Ian many times now, every shoot is different creatively and unique in its own way. He is incredibly passionate about art and i think through his images this is definitely visable! I have shot on location with him and at his home studio hes very comfortable to be around, always on time, and easy to get on with, kept me well fed throughout the day and always offers a cup of tea haha! i would 100% recommend you work with Ian.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Ian at his lovely home studio. Ian was a true professional and his enthusiasm for art shines through! Because of this, it actually made me fall back in love with art nude again after recently losing my mojo with it as most photographers just shoot it to get me nude. Ian had a lot of ideas and the day just flew by! I really enjoyed myself and Ian made sure that I was well fed and watered throughout.
The images we got were amazing and I can’t wait to work with him again!
Going back home I made a mistake with the train times and it turned out we had an hour to wait! But Ian didn’t just leave me to sit in the cold on my own which I respect him for that, he took me to Mcdonolds whilst we waited for the next train.
I highly recommend Water14 photography to every model! Thanks for a great shoot and I’m looking forward to our next shoot :)

I had a lovely shoot with Ian at his studio. He is a gentleman, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the shoot, and even made me coffee! I was so impressed by Ian’s creativity, and his artistic ideas. We mostly shot bodyscapes, and I really enjoyed making different shapes, and Ian made them look so epic!
I’m so pleased with the pictures we got.
Can’t wait to have the opportunity to shoot with Ian again.
Highly recommend

Ian was simply brilliant to shoot with - in every respect! :D I’m so very pleased that he contacted me to shoot during a recent trip I was making to the North East because we had an utterly prolific time making stupendous pictures... But also had no end of laughs! It was the last shoot I had on the mini (weekend) tour I was doing - and it certainly meant that I could end my travels on the best high possible. :)
Ian was a dream to deal with right from the start in his communications through to the day itself. We discussed ideas etc. and I knew fully what to expect when I arrived at Ian’s place; where his fabulous home studio is setup. Although I was quite blown away by the endless opportunities he literally has at his - we only scratched the surface really! :P But all was arranged professionally and above-board which always gives you that bit more confidence when you work with someone for the first time. Ian was also mindful and understanding of the whole pandemic situation and the need to be careful - when I got there I was shown to my own bathroom/changing space if needed and Ian went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Not least ensuring I was topped up with no less that 60 gallons of lovely green tea throughout the course of the shoot! :P Ohh and tasty snacks too. Yes he sure is a brew fiend haha - which just reflects the very vibe of the session and working with Ian. Chilled and relaxed as can be along with all the professional/etiquette boxes ticked. I’d say any model would thoroughly enjoy shooting with Ian and feel very safe and happy for sure. :)
The images we made... Well! We were just on a mission! It seemed like we burst immediately into the most effective working relationship possible from the word go, this meant that from one concept to the next: we just seemed to be nailing it like it was our 3rd shoot or something! Ian was tethered up to his computer so we could see what was being produced in full glory as it happened. And: WOWZERS! From exquisitely fine bodyscapes of a fine art nature to more conceptual/physical sets with styling. Utterly beautiful was the work we created! Ian is a damn good photographer who has learned so much about how to achieve certain looks with the lighting and how to maximise punch within a picture. He has his place set up pristinely so he knows exactly to achieve what he’s looking for - this includes thinking about the model and having the props/furniture at the ready with comfy modifications for models to pose on. :) He really does cover it all! A fantastic eye this gentleman has too - if it means going the extra mile and hanging off a step ladder to get the angle - he’s already up there! Full credit!
Just a genuinely nice bloke. Upbeat, friendly and hospitable... He probably didn’t stop chatting throughout the whole shoot and had a real blast while we worked (not to mention the 6 million cups of tea haha!) But yes; we hit it off effortlessly and the whole session was a reflection of Ian’s efforts to offer an enjoyable, creative and fun shoot for those who come to work with him.
And subsequently: I recommend this gent VERY highly indeed. Without question. :)
I’ll be back for sure haha - that’s just a matter of time! Thank you so much Ian!

Such an enjoyable first shoot with Ian.
I felt we bounced off each other really well and created beautiful images. Ian was so lovely to be around and offered endless cups of tea and biscuits. Great ideas and I definitely learnt a lot - especially about the different artists. You can tell creating and photography is Ian's passion.
Can't wait to shoot again!

Shot with Ian at his home studio, wow! What a laugh. We clicked instantly and just had the best shoot. Time absolutely flew by! I was welcomed and made comfortable straight away, we flew through loads of sets yet still had breaks! Cracking guy, honestly shoot with Ian you’ll have a right laugh and get some great images!
I honestly can’t wait to shoot again! Super recommended from me!

Had an incredibly shoot with Water14 in Durham during my tour to York.
When I had arrived Ian had already designed the set in two different rooms at his home studio. They looked amazing. He had also printed lots of ideas for inspiration. I was beyond impressed and his ideas were incredible. I loved how he’d used some truly iconic iconic art works for inspiration. I particularly loved the images he has selected from the renaissance period.
Ian is amazing to work with. I loved his photography techniques and soft lighting. He’s both easy to talk to and work with. We got along so well and he was such a delight to work with. I also love how passionate he is towards both art and photography. I felt inspired and together we worked together to create some amazing artistic style images.
When I saw the images I was blown away they looked like pieces of art.
110% recommended. Just excellent!!
Can’t wait to work with him again.

I had my first shoot with Ian on route to my Yorkshire tour last week!
Ian is quite simply fabulous! He made me feel welcome straight away :D
He made a cracking brew, showed me around and explained the kind of images he likes to do and then off we went! He tethers his camera to his laptop so you are able to see them as you are shooting and give feedback if you want, which to me always makes for a true collaboration :)
He also gave me plenty of breaks throughout the shoot and honestly it was just so easy talking to him, it felt like I had known him for years :)
I can highly recommend Ian and I really hope to work with him again in the future (and hopefully host him on one of my abroad events too :D)

What a wonderful and surprising first collaboration!
Working with Ian has been an amazing experience: he is very polite and respectful; dedicated and very creative; attentive to the model's requests and suggestions.
It was my second professional shooting, and my very first bodyscape shooting: Ian made me feel at ease from the very first moment we met and he was very clear with what he wanted to achieve and whilst giving me directions on the next pose; although he did not mind when I was assuming poses naturally -actually he was very enthusiastic to capture poses he did not suggested first.
I strongly recommend to work with him and I will definitely work with him again, in the future: Ian is a very dedicated and creative mind, a Caravaggio and Buonarrotti altogether with a camera instead of brushes and spatulas.

Today was my first shoot with Ian and I had such a fabulous time! He is so friendly and reassuring, I felt very relaxed and comfortable throughout. This was my first bodyscape shoot and doing it with Ian was perfect, I could do not recommend him more! So accommodating and enthusiastic about his work - which is absolutely stunning. I can not wait to work with him again in the future.

I LOVE working with Ian!
I had such a busy weekend, and I was a little bit stressed - as I drove to Ian's for the shoot, I just thought to myself, 'ah... Ian is going to make me a lovely cup of tea...' Haha!
Seriously, though - what a great second shoot. Ian is a great laugh and wears his creativity on his sleeve, so to speak. It's fantastic. We were looking at Caravaggio, and this brilliant photographer (actually, no - this artist) just gets it - the images we produced absolutely did look like Caravaggio paintings, I couldn't believe it! Fantastic and very passionate work. It's so easy to get caught up in Ian's enthusiasm, and I think that's what leads to great shots.
I'm always happy to shoot with Ian, anytime!

I just got back from my 3rd shoot with with Ian.
As always he was relaxed and polite. Absolutely one of my favourite photographers to work with! Holds a great conversation and very easy to get on with.
We did a range of beautiful art nude and lingerie.
I absolutely love the images we got.
I was the first model he worked with and he has come such a long way! Love it! Very talented man.
I 100% recommend him to any model! I love working with him.
Thank you.

I know I'm going to really struggle to put this reference into words, because I really can't sing Ian's praises enough! If you want to feel immediately welcomed and also involved in the creative process, this is the chap with whom you must shoot.
Ian's interest in art shines through his work and conversation - and it is so easy to have a conversation with him, too! I had an absolute blast, the time absolutely flew by. Ian also has a great set up for bodyscape imagery, and if there is a way in which you could be made to feel EVEN more comfortable (both physically and mentally), I would guarantee that he has already thought of it.
I think we captured some great imagery, and I would absolutely be delighted to shoot with Ian again. Oh, and he makes a damned good cup of tea, too!

Thankyou for your time, the shots looked brilliant! I'll be definitely looking forward working with you again very soon as it was a 10/10! Nice chap and would say Water14 was one of the best photographers I've ever worked with 🙂
