After Guy Bourdin. The title refers to the shade of nail polish we used.
Bourdin created a series of colourful and sometimes surreal images for adverts in French Vogue magazine in the sixties and seventies. He worked extensively with Charles Jourdan to promote shoes.
If you care to look up the original image, you will see that Bourdin's model has a tiny blemish on her forehead. The presence of a similar mark on my photo is purely coincidental!
Bourdin's original image would have been created using a film camera. I continue to speculate how he managed to get so many hands in the right places.
Thanks to Claire for persevering with this tricky concept.
