Most of my work can be summed up by a quotation by Joel Meyerowitz: ‘Photography looks like pictures, but it’s really about ideas’.
I have been engaged in various aspects of photography for over 30 years, principally portrait, street photography and landscape. Over this time, I have moved from B&W film to digital.
My main areas of interest in portraiture are studio-based, with surreal or ambiguous overtones - leaving the viewer asking questions. I have also worked extensively in film noir imagery.
Finally, I am also a keen astrophotographer and image from my own observatory, as well as through remote telescope systems around the world.
