I recently had my first shoot with Kumbi and what a fantastic person and photographer he is!! We only shot for 1 hour and we got so many amazing photos! I could not believe we managed this in such short time. He really is a true talent! Hopefully many more shoots in the future with him!! Thank you so much Kumbi! Highly recommended!

Wow! Whatever I say here won’t be enough to describe what an awesome shoot I had with Kay! From the start Kay was welcoming and talkative which is always a good ice breaker. Throughout the shoot he showed me the images which were looking great off the back of the camera, even better on big screen.

Awesome and the shoot time flew by. The only negative thing was that 2 hours went too quick. Despite this, time was well managed and we used the time effectively which shows from the images Kay provided.

Definitely recommend!

A last minute booking organised by my friend and studio owner @ilusphotography to shoot with Kumbi, and what a pleasure it turned out to be. I’m not local to London and the studio is based in Stratford, I arrived at the studio almost 2 hours before our shoot to meet the makeup artist who was doing both my hair and makeup ready for our shoot.

Once we got started, the pace was great and we made up for lost time, he was very attentive throughout asking if I needed a break or a drink. The energy during the shoot was great and we got on very well, he is a very eccentric charismatic person, and passionate which shines through in his work. I’m very happy this shoot went ahead as I was pushed for time with it being my birthday I had plans but I made an exception which I am glad I did because the images are some of my favourite yet - things always work out for the best! Though the shoot wasn’t a collaboration we worked together to get something different for both of us and creative which was so beneficial to me to gain experience and challenge myself which I’m glad I was able to trust the photographer to pull it off , I’ve seen the images and honestly they’re some of my favourite yet which has given me confidence back in myself. I’m this industry it’s a rollercoaster, those good shoots have such a good and lasting impact which make a huge difference , there are great photographers out there and this guy gives the industry a good name, he is going places and I hope to be apart of that journey too that we get to work together again in the near future!

He is creative and professional and knows how to get the right shot! after a short but sweet shoot I can say I am really pleased witht he results I saw and I cant wait to see more and hope to shoot again!

OOOh my Kumbi asked to work with me?? how flattered am i!! as soon as I met Kumbi he was cool calm collective. we went through what we was going to shoot and made me feel at ease from the start :) we went up to the studio and the first click of his camera I was excited!! its not often I would like the first image of the day at a shoot... but it just flowed.. i just love his style and didn't want to stop shooting ****** for this gentleman who I got the honour to work with.

I had my first shoot with Kumbi today at fellow photographer Pans home studio where he had booked a lighting tutorial.

I am very grateful to be booked for him to learn more about studio lighting - he is a great guy all round; a total gent throughout the shoot.

From the offset Kumbi was bright and bubbly (despite the horrendous journey with cancelled trains) and always had a huge smile throughout the shoot. His energy is very contagious so we all had a lot of laughs and got some cracking shots which I cannot wait to see!

Kumbi was happy for me to pose on my own and do my thing, but also gave great direction when he had a great pose in mind or a slight adjustment to one of my poses to improve it.

I would 100% work with Kumbi again without a second thought and would highly recommend him!

I had the great pleasure of working with Kumbi for a lighting workshop at which Jess (Jay Bee) was our model.

Despite arriving at the station to find that his train had been unexpectedly cancelled, so missing his connection and needing to totally rearrange his travel arrangements, Kumbi arrived at the studio full of enthusiasm, energy and commitment. He quickly settled and established a rapport with Jess.

Throughout the shoot Kumbi was considerate and respectful towards Jess. He is charming and intelligent, with a great sense of humour. Kumbi's knowledge and understanding of lighting, posing and, in fact, photography in general is far greater than he gives himself credit for. He has an excellent eye for detail and for composition and his images looked brilliant on the back of the camera.

We have already discussed plans for working together again and I greatly look forward to that. I confidently recommend Kumbi to models. Don't let his lack of experience put you off; his commitment, his technical understanding and his intuitive sense of what makes a good image will ensure that he produces work which will more than match that of many photographers with several years' experience.

What to say about this wonderful young man, when I get to be the priveliged one, to leave him, his very first reference !!!! I've popped his "cherry" so to speak on many "firsts" during our first collaboration together, but this young man is definitely "The one to watch out for"!!!!! Don't let all these "firsts" put you off shooting with Kumbi, he really is far better than he gives himself credit for. It was his first art nude opportunity, his first studio environment and his first workshop, but you wouldn't have known it from his professional behaviour throughout the day.

Kumbi contacted me after a studio workshop casting, on Facebook and his communication prior to our collaboration was first class, faultless, informative and full of positivity. He described exactly what he hoped to learn, where he wants to be regarding his potential to learn, and the kind of images he would love to create, which as a tutor, was heavenly for me. Kumbi is full of amazing ideas, he's like a kid at Christmas, wanting to learn more and more, he absorbed all the information like a sponge. He has far more technical ability than he lets on, (as you can see from the images of Helen Diaz already on his port). Kumbi is a very humble man, but is full of positivity, ideas and creativity, and has so much potential as a photographer and artist, this young man has the ability to become a truly great photographer, he's already proven this during our workshop time together. Kumbi arrived with loads of ideas, he knows what he wants from an image and nails it. His interaction with Helen throughout the workshop was faultless, he remained always a gentleman and loved bouncing ideas around amongst the group. Kumbi has the passion in his heart and mind from the minute he picks up his camera, and I can honestly say, if as a model you get the chance to shoot with this young man, don't hesitate, he has so much potential, his images will be an asset to your portfolio. He's very conscious that he wants every image he releases to be a great one, which already sets him high up the hierarchy in photography, and this is why I'm saying, don't think he's your usual rookie photographer, his ideas and thoughts are already streaming like a professional.

Kumbi is warm, so kind and great fun to be around, he's full of positivity and will bring so much life to every shoot. I really can't recommend him highly enough, please don't let the fact this is his first reference, I had 9 hours with this photographer and watched his potential grow and grow throughout the day, I could quite happily assist Kumbi all day everyday, he's such a pleasure to be around and you'll love working with him, that I can guarantee. I am so excited I was part of some of Kumbi's "Firsts" in photography, because I can't wait to watch his photography evolve and observe the magical images he will create in the future. If your thinking of shooting with Kumbi, bite the bullet, I can pretty much guarantee you will have a fabulous shoot and get some amazing images for your portfolio.

I worked with Kumbi for the first time the other day and had an absolute blast!! Kumbi had kindly booked a place on a fantastic Art Nude Workshop hosted by the amazing Alley at Pozers studio in Swindon!

I am always a little nervous working with groups- especialley with photographers I haven't worked with before- or with limited experience- but from the start of the shoot Kumbi was a complete gentleman and I found him extremely respectful to work with!

Kumbi aims to take beautiful photos and came to the group shoot with a few of his own ideas and inspirations which was really encouraging and inspiring to work with as a model. He was kind and respectful throughout, had a great energy about him and is just a thoroughly lovely person. I really loved the images we created together and look forward to working together again in the future.
