Finally got to shoot with Jon last weekend, and it was lovely to meet and work with him, for the first time (and hopefully not the last). Having spent some years, during the Covid pandemic, while I was away in Canada caring for my father, discussing a variety of possible shoots with Jon- from silks suspensions to flour ballet, to scrapyard/derelict ballet), we took the opportunity which presented itself as I was staying and shooting in Central London for a few days over the weekend.

Jon is particularly adept at capturing flow of movement, and freezing a jump at the right moment, when my legs are split in the air, or when the voiles I'm throwing reach their apex in the air. As such, we were able to use our time efficiently, and covered a vast variety of locations and sets during one morning- from St Paul's to the Millennium Bridge to Leadenfield Market, and taking in some beautiful old gothic doors as a backdrop to one of my more extravagant tutus along the way. He kindly also allowed me to take my time at the end of our shoot, to review and select images, which I really appreciate, as ballet-trained dancers are highly self-critical- we're trained to be- and it can be mortifying if a picture of a pas de chat is published which is less than perfect in terms of feet/hand positions. I could see Jon had caught the movements beautifully, both in black and white and colour.

Jon clearly has a great appreciation and natural aptitude for dance/movement, and for dance photography. It's always lovely to work with someone who shares that passion. Thank You for a lovely shoot, and I hope we will work together again. :)

It was so lovely to see and work with Jon again, especially as it had been 4 years since our previous shoot! I worked with Jon and another photographer at TBG Studio and we had an absolute blast! :D We managed to fit in loads of different looks/sets in the time we had but at a relaxed yet productive pace and the time absolutely flew by! Jon is very professional, respectful, polite and an overall lovely person to talk to and work with. He gave me great direction but also allowed me to pose freely and give input too. He’s a master when it comes to studio lighting too and the photos I’ve seen so far are amazing! Very recommended to all models :) Thanks Jon!

I had my first shoot with Jon the other day and what can I say he did not disappoint!!! We took a variety of shots ranging from B&W portraits and funky gymnastic movements in the stunning location of Brightlingsea. The shoot was super relaxed and Jon is such a professional, friendly and interesting person to talk to that time seemed to just fly by! He made sure I was comfortable from the very beginning and he was a super host looking after me throughout the day.

He is such a talented photographer, you can clearly see his passion for photography via his infectious enthusiasm for the shot! I cannot wait to see some of the images we captured and am already brainstorming more ideas for our next shoot!

Overall, I cannot recommend Jon enough. I whole heartedly can say if you have the chance to work with him - do it! :)

We arranged our shoot in Birmingham and the hotel was such a beautiful place for our ideas we wanted to shoot.

Jon was so friendly,respectful and he made our shoot super fun!He also made me to feel comfortable during the shoot and we created beautiful images together.

I have just got in from our first shoot together at his studio in Brightlingsea and I can honestly say I had one of my most enjoyable shoots of all time. The shoot was super relaxed and Jon is an incredibly interesting photographer that can capture movement with absolute ease. We worked through various sets/set ups and we got several top notch images from each where Jon seemed to get the best out of me each time with minimal stress and repetition.

I cannot wait to see some of the edits as the back of cam was looking insane!!! Absolutely recommend and I can't wait to organise our next shoot.

My second shoot with Jon at his lodge by the sea..... where do I begin....

Jon is not only an amazing photographer, his lighting skills are ace and he’s also awesome to work with. Professional yet chilled and relaxed, I have nothing but good words to say about Jon.

We covered so much!

This time we shot over 2 days and Jon very kindly let me stay over at the lodge for 2 nights so we could start early both days. Jon waited patiently for me to arrive the day before shooting. The traffic was horrendous on my 3 hour journey meaning I’d been on the road for over 4hrs on arrival. Jon made dinner for me and we made a plan of what we’d shoot over the weekend while we ate. I was really looking forward to it!!

Day one we shot at the lodge. Jon arrived at the lodge on time and ready to go. We shot some low key bodyscape, some fantastic rope and did some work with wax just to name a few of the sets.

Later that night when it was dark, we set off over the road to the sea front to do some light painting. This was a first for me and I was blown away with the results and how we created them. I learnt something new that night, and I’m so pleased to have had the chance to do it. It was very cold but Jon made sure I was warm all the time and worked quickly to get some fab shots.

Day two we shot in Jon’s studio. Some fantastic art nude, weird and wonderful as well as stunning and beautiful. Again only a fraction of what we achieved, but we did some art nude on an arial hoop, some angel work, and even finished off with a smoke machine and coloured gel lighting.

I love Jon’s ideas. I love that he doesn’t think I’m mad when I come up with something a little out of the ordinary too! We really worked well together and got so much done in a short space of time.

I have to say, Jon’s lighting at the studio was fantastic! When I was looking through the boc the images were ace! I have had a few edits back and I’m so so pleased with what we captured. I can not wait to see more and share what we created. Jon photographed me amazingly and I’m so pleased with the results.

On that note.... I am so excited to work with Jon again! We are already discussing a next shoot and I can’t wait!!!

Absolutely epic second shoot with the wonderful Jon. I visited Jon's studio and stayed in his special model lodging at Brightlingsea.

I was absolutely gobsmacked when I turned up at my accomodation. While it's still a work in progress, Jon has thought of everything with the loveliest of touches to make my stay relaxing and comfortable. I cannot rave about this place enough!

And let me tell you about Jon's new studio....just WOW!! Fantastic vast space with everything you could wish for. Any aerialist's dream with a massive aerial rig which you attach hoop, rope, silks etc! And all the props. From smoke machines to human socks (which I had WAY too much fun with lol) Jon has it all.

I couldn't have wished for a better shoot. We did hoop with smoke and lights, ballet and dance Jumps, weird but awesome human sock nonsense, and then finished with some bodyscapes..with Lego ;) My only wish is we had longer, the shoot just absolutely flew by!!

I am absolutely delighted with Jon's amazing captures and what he's produced so far. It's an absolute pleasure to work with someone as talented as Jon. Despite his eye for precision and detail, Jon made for a very chilled out environment and just let me free flow with poses :)

I can honestly say, Jon is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He has such a lovely way about him and is massively giving and thoughtful. I felt incredibly well looked after for my whole stay. Jon went way above and beyond really. I could give so many examples of this, but who would take the time post-shoot to show you how to use Lightroom after me having despaired at the difficulties of editing my own images? Jon did!!

Shooting with Jon...

This shoot has been absolutely unique and extraordinary for many reasons. We have been working together for two weeks. Yes, not two days.... A two weeks. Over thirty different sets, ideas, styles, locations. It was like the creative roller coaster.

Jon is one of the most talented, kind and generous people, I have met in my life. He looked after me all the time, and I felt absolutely spoiled. I had a great pleasure to stop at his lovely lodge, where everything was ready for me before I have arrived. Jon picked me up from the train station, as he wanted to make sure, that I'm not going to get lost.... Unfortunately, Emi has no sense of directions whatsoever! ;)

We have started shooting the next morning (Emi's morning... ;) ) and very soon we've been bouncing ideas back and forward effortlessly. Jon can shoot anything, anywhere, any time of the day. Perfection every time.

Jon is absolutely an amazing host, generous and he will make sure, that a model has anything she needs. He is going up and above. He is warm, friendly, kind and a lovely person to be around. He will make sure that your photographic dreams will come true and a model is always comfortable. He is happy to experiment and take any effort to achieve the outstanding results. He will even find a Teddy if a model needs one... ;)

All, I can say is, that I'm absolutely speechless. The results are outstanding, but first and foremost, I feel very lucky, that I had a chance to meet Jon.

Jon, it was a privilege to work with you and to meet you. Thank you for everything, for your kindness and generosity, and the outstanding shoot.

"The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round...", so I will catch one in the future to see you again. :)

I recently had my first shoot with Jon and what a pleasure it was! Definitely a shoot to remember,

His pre comms were excellent and explained in detail what his aims were for the shoot.

As I was 4 hour drive away Jon was kind enough to let me stay in the lodge we was shooting in the following day so I could get up early ready for a morning beach shoot. On arrival he made me feel so welcome, friendly & couldn’t have done enough. We scouted the area for location ideas the day before which really helped.

We covered everything from high fashion, beachwear, to bondage, lingerie and even a rain shoot!

I’ve never been so impressed by the creativity involved & his ideas. He knows exactly how to get that perfect shot taking great attention to detail and lighting all the time. Whilst I was at the lodge he’d built his own rain machine outside in next to no time & what an absolutely epic shoot that was to finish off the day!

His professionalism & bubbly personality really showed from start to finish and we had a great laugh!

The lodge is beautiful, spacious & has that cosy feel to it with so many opportunities to shoot a wide range of ideas. I am really happy with the images I’ve seen so far and I was always shown the back of the camera images on shoot too.

Thank you again & I’ll look forward to our next shoot towards the end of the year.

Today was my first shoot with Jon and it was absolutely awesome.

Pre comms were ace. We spoke in detail beforehand about what we would cover during the shoot and shared ideas.

We covered a wide variety of styles, from fashion to lingerie, to bodyscape, and some rope with a fetish feel towards the end. It was such a success and we created some fantastic images.

Jon’s place is stunning! There are so many different spaces to work in and it is full of natural light. Spacious and clean, with a modern, yet homely feel. It’s beautiful. Not only inside, but what is available around outside too.

Jon is a pleasure to work with. We got on great and had a good laugh while we worked. So well we have already booked in our next shoot!!

This was my second shoot with the wonderful Jon. This was a spur of the moment as our original shoot was postponed.

Ever the professional, Jon travelled at very short notice and quite some distance to the location that was recommended to me. He arrived with a little picnic and goodies as he knew my Birthday was in the next few days. So so sweet.

We got some truly stunning images complete with poppies and were graced with the most beautiful sunset.

Every time we meet we have so much fun and always achieve magic. Thank you so much.

Jon is a flamin' superstar - no joke/no exaggeration! He's just awesome to work with, awesome company, awesomely creative and a technical legend when it comes to making those crazy-good pictures. Whenever I am coming down Essex way and Jon's availability matches up with my own dates on the road: I just cannot contain my excitement, because I know that it's legit going to be a rock n' roll shoot and we'll be bouncing off each other like tomorrow doesn't exist. I will recommend him again and again and again: that is a complete guarantee. Every shoot I have had with Jon seems to have escalated to another level of fabulousness, and future shoots will be the exact same story. :)

This time; we shot, once again, at Jon's phenomenal personal studio space on the sunny Essex coast. I must have definitely rambled on about it before because it's the very definition of superb, ticking all the boxes for a space that enables creatives to make stuff happen... And Jon is the very photographer to make stuff happen! :P Seriously though: The room he has stretches so far for opportunity after opportunity where arty pursuits are concerned; the sheer height of the ceiling and clear floor space being a big winner for a start! We went full on with exploring this quality of the studio this time with aerial hoops/silks and more; kissed by absolutely perfect lighting. ♥ This gives a small idea of just what is achievable working with this genius, and I'm not just talking a small hook or something he put in the ceiling overnight, I'm talking the full professional frame to allow an aerial performer/model to get completely off the ground and suit themselves with however many mad shapes they want to make. :P Some of the best aerial images I have ever been a part of came from this shoot. No word of a lie! I felt safe and confident going for it with the solid fixtures that Jon had spent time putting in place: from sublime art nudes to kerrrazy fashion haha! Jon did all sorts of clever tricks with his lighting to really make it pop as well. :D Just check out the shots on his page. They're next-level!

That said; it's very much Jon's policy to take time, care about and put the extra effort in to pull out the best he can in every situation/set. Every picture we've ever done has received this attention as Jon is such a passionate artist and photographer who will stop at nothing until the pictures are bellowing the best levels of "wow! in every instance. :) He really knows his stuff, and that is what makes it so inspirational to work with him, be it in the studio or out on location as we've done in the past! It's so fun to think just what might we do next time...

On top of the indisputable that Jon deserves as a photographer: he is also the biggest gentleman that the industry has to offer. :) He is kind, thoughtful, moves mountains to ensure that models feel secure and safe whilst working with him, is the most relaxed and non-pressured person you could actually meet on earth, is endlessly thoughtful and generous and will offer snacks/food/refreshments (and even go out and get them) if needed. His professionalism and total decency to the core shines right on through; as such he's someone I would rate so highly to other models. You won't find yourself better looked after anywhere else. :)

So on those grounds; I think I'll round it up by saying that I recommend this dude soooooooooooooooo high. Like 100 on a scale of 1 to 10 high. :P
