I absolutely cannot recommend Jon highly enough! I worked with Jon on both a one-to-one basis (with the addition of Christian Red as rigger) and he attended a "Shooting Shibari" workshop I organised with Christian the following day.

Each shoot was surprisingly different to one another and Jon's passion and creativity was certainly contagious!

On the first day (shooting one-to-one) Jon was so easy going, friendly and respectful - it was the first time we'd met but soon felt like we'd been shooting together for years! He came prepared with some wonderful ideas and was really happy to collaborate with both myself and Christian to bring those ideas to life, gladly accepting adjustments/suggestions and the images were just stunning!

On the second day, the workshop consisted of three main parts: set-up / posed rope shots as both static and suspension based transitions, a hands-on education on tying basic patterns and structures and finally a performance set up to be documented. The aim of the workshop was to challenge totally different and contrasting styles of photography and Jon took to it all with energy and enthusiasm!

He also paid a lot of attention to the times Christian was tying me in preparation for shooting and asked loads of really vital questions which showed me he really had a keen interest in hearing the model's perspective and taking their safety seriously.

Jon was such a great participant to have on the workshop, he has such a wonderful energy and it's hard not to feel inspired and creative around him!

I was also very impressed by Jon's attitude towards trying new things, especially when it came to learning to tie. He picked up the basics very quickly and was soon adapting what he'd learnt to incorporate his own style and aesthetic preferences - always keen to check the person he was tying felt safe and again asking plenty of questions on how to improve or what to look for from the model.

I really loved shooting with Jon this weekend and the images are all looking incredible! I highly recommend him to others and hope we get plenty more opportunities to shoot together in future!

I had an amazing first shoot with Jon today. I couldn’t tell you where the time went. I guess it flys when your having fun.

Jon arrived to my house around 30 minutes early with the sole intention of chatting and to get to know each other first. We got on like a house on fire and I was put at ease from start to finish.

We discussed ideas before hand and putting them into practise was a lot of fun. I viewed the photos as we went along and I’m thrilled with what I have seen so far.

We stuck to mainly bodyscaping with darker tones, light and shadow. A theme I’ve wanted to tick off my list and I have not been disappointed.

Jon’s vision is fascinating and it’s quite something seeing it come to light.

I very much look forward to shooting again and I’d recommend working with him wholeheartedly xxx

I had a fab shoot with Jon during my first visit to The Loft Studio in Colchester. Great communication leading up to the session, he was professional, friendly, considerate, and came with some fantastic ideas.

We used my own styling, as well as accessories and fabrics he bought (included a fab outfit his wife had made for the shoot), producing a range of varied and creative images!

A brilliant photographer and lovely company. I would happily work with him again. Many thanks Jon! :-)

Another utterly killer shoot with the amazing Jon! :D This time we concentrated solely on studio concepts. But; the creativity, the upbeat vibe, the artistic value of working and the easy-going-ness that Jon brings to his shoots - all as firmly in place as it was the first time we shot together... Enjoying another corking session for the record.

Can we actually just take a minute though to appreciate how EPIC his new studio space is?? It’s HUGE! All the perfect facilities for brew-making and refreshments, ample areas for models to descend upon with their gear and the potential of setting up literally any kind of backdrop/set you like! We took full advantage of making some very simple (but utterly lush studio-style shots with basic background and Jon’s ingenious innovation with the light... And then also got a bit excited with “set” building to create more conceptual images. Honestly, the potential to create at Jon’s place is totally limitless! What we did in our half-day slot this time was literally scratching the surface of what could be achieved, he’s chosen his shooting space perfectly - and I’m over the moon to be coming back! :D

So to ramble on a bit more about the sheer brilliance of the shoot - well Jon is just a superb photographer through-and-through! We first tackled shapes and bodyscapes with a little setup that Jon had pre-prepared and let me give you an example of how much he thinks about the models comfort (even when they’re not! :P) Me: “Oh yes perfect, just a nice platform of some description works wonders for being able to pull the bodyscapes. Doesn’t matter what it is!” Jon: “Awesome! I’ve got this raised platform for the set which should do the trick with the background over it... I’ve also put a soft plush throw under the background so it’s comfortable for you.” ...I mean he’s clearly a total gem with pristine thoughtfulness, clearly! So we fired off some CRAZY-GOOD pictures, Jon did some tweaks with the light and changed the effect up the awesomeness spectrum to sensational with no-end if clever and creative tricks. He is honestly full of excellent ideas and his passion for his work bursts through infinitely... From the thinking-power he does before and during a shoot, to his on-shoot enthusiasm, to a sublime eye for the image as the model does their thing. Jon can see a moment and suggest poses/direct - but he is very encouraging of models to play an active part in the shoot too. Later in the session we had cloths flying around/hanging assembled... And then entire scenes set with props to produce gorgeous effects. Jon did his thing in perfecting the techy stuff and framing the killer shots... I just pottered about the set! :P NEXT-LEVEL! And B.E.A.utiful picturessss right in-camera!

In one sense you’re kind of: “how can you improve on the shots you did the first time round - that was a gooood shoot” and then you remember that you’re shooting with a super cool and imaginative photographer with a different environment. The buzz is real! :)

Yep! A million-and-one good things to say about Jon... Not least with regards to his fantastic professional demeanour and big heart! He’s a superb communicator in the planning stages; we always have the shoot sorted in a few short mails which makes things such a breeze for me in organising the fine details of my tour. His etiquette honestly deserves some kind of award - genuinely! As mentioned above, he’s big on models feeling comfortable and being happy; but then he goes up one by generously supplying food and refreshments. It’s kindness beyond expectation, but I cannot stress how grateful you are for it as a travelling model.

So, HELL YES I recommend Jon!!!!!!! :D I think I’ve made that quite clear haha! Really looking forward to working together for a third time too.

Im really pleased Jon came to another portfolio builder hosted by myself and Fidelio, but this time, working as a duo with myself and miss black reign modelling.

Attending the morning session, he was the first person to book and it was a pleasure to work with him again. Providing ideas, listening to the same cheesy music on loop for the session and being really respectful to others in the group, it was lovely working with him again.

I had my 2nd shoot with Jon and it was fabulous like last time. This time I bought along a new model to meet Jon and get some images together also. We did a dance location shoot in Greenwich in the rain storms so that was fun.

As always Jon was fun, lovely, kind, chatty and professional thought out the whole shoot including buying us lunch before we had to shoot of home.

I could go on forever about what a great guy he is and that you would never meet a kinder person but i won't.

Superfantasticallybrilliantlyawesome!!!!!

But I need to write something useful as well so here goes! :P

Jon is a true delight to work with on so many levels - no exaggeration, no smoke blowing. It’s just fact!!! :D We had been in touch with one another a little bit before working together whereby we’d missed windows of opportunity to work together on previous tours I’d completed down South. Nonetheless, we’d kept in touch and kept in-the-loop and before long - we shot our first shoot in the bag! :) And it was amazeballs. NUFF SAID.

Jon was always a star with his communications from the very beginning and this helps a touring model considerably; even on previous tours where our diaries didn’t collide - letting me know in good time and then being super professional and concise in the lead up to our shoot. We’d actually initially discussed doing some arty bodycapes with maybe a hopeful location set depending on Mother Nature, but in fact - the weather on the day was utterly beautiful so we had about a 30 second ponder about location possibilities, then grabbed our stuff and went out and about for the whole session! Despite this sudden blast of inspiration and change of plan/thought: Jon was superbly prepped and knew of some LUSH places for us to use. From distressed trees to lakesides, and even the beach! :D I was in my element because I live location work. And even though we were blessed with a good day; Jon took all relevant precautions and ensured I was comfortable as we set up etc. He’s a professional cattle tamer which he doesn’t include on his page as at one stage we had a herd of curious bulls looking at what we were doing (quite harmlessly) but Jon was able to safely hurry along our critics with some secret code or something! :’) At each and every place we worked; Jon worked at Sonic speed to nail the killer shots and were were truly on one helluva roll and high-fiving very frequently indeed with the killer shots that were appearing on the back of the camera. I felt that we struck off a terrific rapport upon meeting to be honest - Jon is just such a gem of a human that when we first became aquatinted when I got to his studio, I was there all ready to go in “shoot” mode... But the first thing Jon did was help me get everything inside, get the kettle on and went across to to local shop to get me something to eat bless him. He goes above and beyond to make the models he shoots with feel completely at ease and well looked after - I cannot stress that enough! We had everything we needed back at the studio base, when we did begin working; it was at a completely relaxed pace with no pressure or rushing about (even though I arrived that way high on tour adrenaline haha!) Just a kind and respectful person in every way and super friendly too with a super-cool nature! :D (We nattered a LOT during our shoot!)

So I’ll just wrap up by reiterating what a top photographer he is with the patience of a saint and an unquestionable creative soul! :D From catching that perfect jump to managing the light/balancing it just right when on location with flash and natural daylight. We smashed editorial, arty, swimwear, whimsical... Nailed, well and truly!

We’ve already shot together for a second time before I got chance to write this! Obviously massively recommended!!!!!

Had a fantastic first shoot with Jon :)

We shot some lingerie and then dance down at the beach!

Jon is incredibly friendly and professional. We were immediately chatting away as soon as I arrived, making me feel comfortable instantly. The whole shoot absolutely flew by :) Jon made sure I and plenty of time to prepare myself and was kind enough to offer food and drink.

I'm super excited to see the end result :) the photos on the back of the camera looked superb!

We've already started to plan further shoots which I'm really looking forward to :)

Working with Jon was an absolute pleasure.

He had fantastic ideas for locations that worked perfectly with the look we were going for with the shoot. They were also suitably varied so each set of photos from the locations have their own feel and atmosphere.

Professional at all times and just generally easy going, he made sure I was always comfortable as well as fed and watered (a bonus!)

I felt very much at ease and relaxed which meant the shoot had a lovely flow. Plenty of chat which makes for a fun day!

Not only was Jon easy to work with he is also greatly skilled, his timing and use of angles was impeccable and made it a lot easier on me to get the shot we wanted without having to repeat difficult poses.

All in all couldn't recommend higher and look forward to working with Jon again!

I had the pleasant experience of shooting with John for the first time this weekend...

He showed up on time with plenty of equipment and props for our session, some of which were beautifully handmade by his partner.

We had a productive shoot and John was fantastic with direction. I am always appreciative of any photographer who gives constructive advice when it comes to posing. After all, we both want to come out of any session with fantastic images, which I certainly think we did!

From owls to cockroaches, we covered a lot and I can’t wait to see the finished images!

What a fantastic person and talented photographer! Jon was great to work with; the shoot was lots of fun, but also very productive. In four hours we got an awesome variety of shots, that from my sneak peak at the back of the camera look epic! We even managed to get some location shots down at the beach near the studio. His timing is spot on when it comes to action shots such as dance leaps and kicks. Jon is one of those people who breathes creativity and this came through very much when working with him. If you get the chance to jump in front of his camera definitly do so! :)
