The evening was very well organised and the group members were absolutely lovely. Allen recently booked me for a shoot as well as a photography club night at PGD and it was a delight!

He came well prepared knowing exactly what he wanted to get from the shoot. We shot mainly portraits and shapes / dance and he was professional and respectful throughout. Additionally, he is just a very easy guy to talk to and very welcoming!

As for the photography club night, Allen made sure the evening flowed nicely and that people were ready to shoot. There were no mishaps and everything went smoothly thanks to Allen's wonderful organisation.

Would definitely recommend and I look forward to working with you again Allen :)

Another fantastic shoot with Allen! He booked me for a shoot with himself and Philip plus for a photographic club night group shoot.

Allen is fantastic to work with! Professional, great communication, creative, talented photographer, respectful, kind and lovely human being. Working with him means you will produce lots of beautiful images in different styles in a fun and relaxed athmosphere. First edits from the day look lush! Sheff is one of the best, truly talented and a lovely gentleman. We had 3 hours and they passed by so fast, we created so many amazing shots in so many set ups- yet it didn't at all feel pressured or rushed. He was nice and pick me up from aéroport and I feel directly very confortable in him company.

When Allen approached me about a Jack Vettriano style shoot at Basford Hurst, I of course jumped at the opportunity and recommended doing so alongside Hamish Scott as the male figure that so often appears throughout Vettriano’s work. It was a fantastic day as always is with Allen - such a wonderful team day, as another fellow tog (Darrell Whitehead) was also on board. The images truly speak for themselves, and it is already common knowledge that I love working alongside Allen! Thank you once again for such a wonderful opportunity Allen!!

Two more shoots this week with Allen, the first a studio shoot at PGD Studios working through a range of fashion concepts, getting creative with lighting and bodyscapes!!! We shot for 4 hours and time absolutely flew by!!! Shooting with Allen is always so much fun, I love the banter and every time the images get better and better!! :D

The second shoot was a group shoot organised at PGD Studios alongside Xenia model. This time we worked with two groups of six photographers getting really creative with lasers and projections!!! SO MUCH FUN!! Allen was once again always on hand to make sure I was looked after and the event could not have gone better!!!

Do I reccomend working with Allen? OF COURSE I DO!! I very much look forward to seeing him again soon and am currently sat working through 100's of images to pick out some edits haha!! Thanks again Allen!! See you soon!!

Another reference is due from me! I really enjoy working with Allen, he is an amazing professional who respects everyone around him but also a chap who has a great sense of humour - a recipe for a productive shoot!

For the afternoon shoot that we did, I sent Allen a couple of ideas that I wanted to try and that didn't phase him one bit. He invited another talented photographer, Philip J Vernon (who I also already know) to help us and we were off trying my ideas and experimenting with the lighting. I can't tell you how much it means to me, I can see that Allen goes the extra mile to achieve great results like he does. And he is not afraid to try!

As for an evening group shoot, I was working on two different sets on the 'Projections' Event and that was super great fun. There was also another model, Miss_C, who I finally had a pleasure meeting. The event was very creative and it's safe to say that I haven't shot anything like this before. Everyone was well looked after and I have seen photographer's BOC and they achieved some phenomenal results :)

Allen asked if I would be interested in shooting 'Helmet Newton' style images with him at Basford Hurst Cottage, needless to say I was thrilled to be working with him again!! This was the second shoot I have had with the fabulous Allen ... with a third in the diary for next week!!!

Allen arrived on time with plenty of props and brimming with ideas for our shoot together!! We worked through lots of sets, each time Allen paid a lot of attention to lighting and angle to really get that shot spot on!! Not only is Allen a great photographer he is also so easy to talk to and the banter is relentless!!!

Needless to say I absolutely adore working with Allen and I am really looking forward to seeing him again next week!!! Thanks Allen! Highly recommended of course!!

It's common knowledge that I absolutely love working with & for Allen, so when he asked me to model at the next Creative Photography Events workshop (this time at the fabulous Basford Hurst!) it was an obvious and immediate YES! If you haven't already seen the images, then I can account to how well the day went here... As always Allen and Garry made sure the event ran perfectly, and every tog went home happy as Larry! The images are looking incredible and I can't wait to get my hands on some and share them myself too! The day was made even more special by being given the opportunity to work with Allen & Garry themselves too, post-event. I'm so grateful to Allen for booking on these workshops of his and trusting me to bring the togs' (as well as his own) vision to life. Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Garry and Allen contacted me to ask if they could host one of their 'Creative Photography Events' here at Basford Hurst Cottage a couple of months ago. I was absolutely thrilled that they asked!! Having met them both before and been down to PGD Studios myself I just knew that this day would not disappoint... And I wasn't wrong!!

Garry and Allen visited the studio before the date to plan out the day and how everything was going to work. All the pre comms were great and I was kept up to date with numbers, timings and any changes as required.

Shoot day arrived and I could not have asked for a better organised and well run event. Anyone who runs events will know just how much work and effort goes into them and I cannot fault Garry and Allen on everything they did to make sure things ran smoothly and everyone came away smiling with some incredible images. The attendees and models were looked after at all times with Garry and Allen regularly going around to check on progress and helping with any technical issues / queries.

Myself and Simon particularly appreciated the courtesy and respect shown to ourselves and our property, everyone was briefed at the start of each session and the fact that everyone had indoors shoes at the ready was really very welcomed!!

Overall I would absolutely highly recommend PGD, Garry and Allen. If they ever contact you to host an event at your location I would absolutely advise you to jump at the opportunity!! A wonderful group and welcome back anytime!! Thank you for everything!!

I can always highly recommend Allen ... last month was a group event at Basford Hurst Cottage that he'd organised with PGD Studios, a brilliant busy day and Allen ensured us models had everything we needed, were comfortable, informed of all the goings on, fed/watered etc. Such a good-natured, kind, fun man who takes everything in his stride, makes you feel so welcomed and appreciated, and keeps the rabble in line :-P

Earlier in the year I also had the pleasure of a few 1:1 shoots at PGD with Allen, shooting hollywood style and also some more colourful, bold and funky looks. I really enjoyed those sessions and Allen's lighting took it all NEXT LEVEL!! Fantastic results and an enjoyable time. Whole-heartedly recommended :-D

What can I say about Allen his literally just amazing, a phenomenal guy. He looks after me so much on shoots and our group events helps me with my outfits to pick and also helps me put my thigh high boots on that takes me 10 minutes to put on.

We did some ranges of styles on our shoot and I am blown away from them. Allen is so creative and so talented. We click so well he makes me laugh and we have fun and enjoy our shoot. His definitely one of my favourite photographers and I love how blunt and honest he is too. I love how genuine he is and I could would with him every single day if I could thank you so much Allen your a babe. 100% recommended xxx

My shoots with Allen are always magical, but this time held a whole different dynamic to it because he booked he to shoot with my duo girly LEnza/Valentina. We all bounced off one another so well and it was genuinely the most enjoyable day. Allen always creates such a safe space, both when using PGD Studios and elsewhere, and this really allowed us to fully immerse ourselves into character and play around to create fantastic images. Every set we shot was contrasting to the last, and the variety within Allens shoots always helps to keep things fresh within myself.

This was my second time shooting with Allan. This time we shot at PGD studio in Leicester, together with Beth Kate.

I super enjoyed the shoot from start to the end. Concepts were original and fun! Lots of creativity and great lighting. As a result we created different sets of beautiful images. Allan is very skilled photographer, professional, friendly and fun to work with!

I can’t wait to see the final results. I would definitely work with Allan again and he is very recommended !

Having met Allen a few times when he'd come to Basford I was really excited when he asked me if I would be interested to shoot with him at PGD Studios with him and then a group shoot afterwards.

Allen sent me some ideas of the genres he wanted to cover for the shoot and I had all the information / directions etc that I needed to get to the studio.

Working with Allen is an absolute ball!! He's so much fun to create with, full of ideas, inspiration and brings so much enthusiasm to the shoot!! - Needless to say our shoot time absolutely flew by!! He was happy to let me pose freely but also happy to direct as needed.

Throughout the group shoot Allen really looked after me and made sure I was comfortable and happy at all times. Everything was organised incredibly well and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I received edited images from our shoot the next day and I am SO pleased with them!!!

Worked with Allen on a few occasions now, including 1-2-1 and on his events at PGD Studio in Leicester.

The events are so relaxed, well-run, and I am very well looked after every time!

Another fantastic shoot with Allen. I absolutely adore working with Allen, he's always a joy to be around, so much fun to work with and a very creative photographer. I always like arriving a fair bit early just so we can have a catch up!

The shear imagination he has always fills me with motivation. He's not afraid to give direction as and when needed but also happy to let me free flow. Allen is someone i can recommend very heavily as i know you won't be disappointed.

Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Allen came to Basford Hurst Cottage to take part in a two day natural light photography workshop hosted by Michael Morris, Beth Kate and Lenza.

Allen arrived on time with everything he needed for the shoot. He is polite, friendly and great fun to have around!! He worked well with Michael and the models throughout the workshop and was respectful of his fellow photographers. He really paid attention to what he was learning from Michael and made sure to put into practice what he was learning.

During his time at Basford he made sure to look after our location and was very easy to have around the location.

I would absolutely recommend Allen and I hope to see him again soon! Thank you Allen!! :D
