Where do I start! I had my first shoot with Shaun today and it was amazing!

I was the first to contact shaun in regards to working together, we had set a date to have a tour of the studio and discussion about potential work together. A few days later he messaged me with a cancellation and I jumped at the chance. Best decision EVER!

All communication before hand was brilliant, shaun created a mood board from the selected images i had chosen and came up with a rough shoot plan as to what I was interested in shooting.

First step upon arrival at the studio was a tour, coffee and a chat to discuss potential images with the outfits I had brought along to the shoot, he came up with some amazing ideas and also let my own creativity flow.

Felt instantly comfortable and at ease, showed me images from behind the camera as we went along which were absolutely stunning already! Really helped bring that dominant feminine energy out in the images we created!

Thank you again for an amazing shoot and will be jumping at any chance to work with Shaun again. Highly recommend!

Omg so finally had the amazing pleasure to shoot with @shaun solent and in his studio and what a fantastic shoot it was!!!

Not only is he very very very professional and so many creative ideas he is so lovely and always makes you feel 100% relaxed and happy during the whole shoot he picked me up from the station and dropped me off also let me stay the night too!

The photos from back of the camera was amazing already and I cannot wait to see the final shots!! I definitely 100% recommend him and hope we can do another shoot!! 🤗🤗🤗

How many shoots now Shaun? I can’t remember, But yet again another epic shoot, I’m grinning from ear to ear and wishing the next shoot with Shaun would hurry up ;)

This time our theme was ‘naughty nun’ something I’ve wanted to shoot for a while with Shaun.

Pre comms as usual direct and a clear shoot plan ahead of our shoot.

I always love shooting with Shaun as we get some amazing shots and the shoot is always so much fun.

Again we have some awesome shoots booked for the coming months.

Shaun is always accommodating and a true professional, You will not be disappointed, I’m like a child at Xmas the eve before a shoot with Shaun ;)

His studio is so well equiped with an absolute tresure trove of props and outfits which quite frankly would put some of the commerical studios I've worked in to shame.

Precomms were super, we set clear expectations at the beginning of the shoot.

The images were awesome and unmistakenly 'Shaun Solent'.

When Shaun got in touch to ask if I wanted to join him for a WW2 camp shoot I was so excited!! I absolutely love my shoots with Shaun!!

We discussed a few ideas, props and outfits, and as usual we only used a handful of things as most of it we shot the most stunning art nude. We were lucky with some beautiful cloud and sunshine. And although there were times the wind was chilly, Shaun always made sure I was warm enough. As soon as we’d shot a set he would get my cardigan for me instantly. He’s an absolute gentleman.

Within half hour of starting we had shot two sets and I was literally buzzing with the results as we looked through the boc. That was the beginning of what was an amazing day. Set after set we produced image after image.

It doesn’t matter where I’ve shot with Shaun; indoors or outside, with a lighting set up or using natural light, his lighting skills are exceptional. He is an absolute genius. Time and time again I am left blown away at the beauty we create together.

I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity, time and time again, to work with Shaun.

I’ve honestly lost count of the amount of times Shaun and I have worked together but each time it honestly just gets better and better! This time it was with one of my best friends Marcus (DarkHorse) and we worked through various different sets all putting our own ideas fourth into each one and the results just speak for themselves!

It’s always such a pleasure working with Shaun, we have such a laugh whilst also keeping it professional and he’s very respectful of the models and their comfort levels as well as if they need breaks etc.

Thank you once again for an amazing shoot, and I’m already looking forward to the next!!! :D

What an absolute joy it was to work with Shaun. Not only was I exceptionally excited to work with him, but it was a thrill to walk into his studio where so many of the models I admire have been shot, and it made it an extra special day because I was shooting with my dear friend leahmeraki. Shaun is an artist and a genius; he is meticulous and planned the shoot in great detail. He is also warm, kind, and irrepressible in his enthusiasm. I consider myself extremely lucky to spend time with him, let alone to have worked with him.

I had a wonderful time working with Shaun a few days ago. This was a shoot that was in the making for a few years, a lot of things have changed since then however, Shaun was very adaptable and made things work for us.

He is very vocal, which I liked. He's good at direction but also allowed me to freepose, he's very energetic and I could definitely feel the vibe of the shoot rub onto me! He was also very respectful and we were able to have very good communications through out the planning of this shoot.

The results were stunning, we did a variety of shots and I'm very happy with the results. You can see why he has so many references, so I'll add to that and suggest that you should definitely go to Tanglewood studios and work with Shaun, be it as a model, or learning light techniques from him!

After a 5 month wait I had an amazing shoot with shaun! His studio is something else I couldn’t believe the size of it and different areas/ themes he had developed. We shot mainly art nude, he made me feel comfortable and confident and definitely made me work with the poses but I’m glad he did as the outcome shots are insane! 😊

Outerlimits

Did a 1:1 lighting workshop at Shauns Studio covering lighting the nude and fashion photography lighting and editing. Prior to the shoot got great comms from Sean and also some pre workshop notes that I found interesting and useful. The workshop was really helpful. Shaun quickly established how extensive my knowledge was and so was able to skip through some areas and concentrate on providing me as much information and guidance in the time available. I came away inspired to do more and felt that the 1:1 session came up to and exceeded my expectations and gave me great value for money. All in all a very enjoyable day and Shaun was a very friendly tutor. I could not recommend him more highly

Shaun and I have worked together multiple times now for many years, and every time I go I learn something new about photography, whether it be modelling, lighting, or something else.

Shaun is a delightful person, and is always happy to put me up in his unique studio, that he impeccably designed himself, he's very good at making sure his guests are well fed, comfortable and able to cater for themselves, which I appreciate to no end, since travelling such a long way.

He's very passionate about photography and teaching others, which I had the pleasure to witness by being the model for one of his lighting workshops, after recommending him to another wonderful photographer when shooting with them in the North.

I'm sure I'll be back before he can say "Right shoulder 2 degrees to the left!" ;)

What an incredible shoot I had with Shaun today!

This was a much anticipated shoot, after having it booked for over 18 months with a few cancellations due to various life things! It was absolutely worth the wait though!

Shaun’s pre-comms are second to none with everyone being on the same page from the absolute get go! I commend this man for his administration skills, he is something else!

Shaun was courteous and professional throughout, making me feel comfortable, confident and cared for!

He gives direction incredibly well, being able to see the shot way before the camera is even to his face! His level of creativity and his knowledge of lighting and composition cannot be challenged. He truly is incredible!

I am not one to look at the back of a camera and like a photo of myself, but looking at this set on the back of his camera I was blown away! He just knows exactly how to execute the perfect image!

I really hope I get to work with him again soon (and not 18 months in the future) as I know with more time we could make so so much magic!!

100/10 would absolutely recommend!

I had my first duo shoot with Shaun and Josh.

Shaun is a fantastic photographer full of creative ideas and enthusiasm for the shoot. As this was my first duo shoot, both Shaun and Josh directed me well on various poses, and we covered multiple themes throughout the shoot.

I also liked that Shaun had shown both Josh and me the photos after each set, and they look fantastic. I can't wait to see edited images.

I highly recommend Shaun to any model and look forward to working with him soon.

I just had my 10th solo and 11th duo shoot with Shaun, each as astounding as the rest. This man keeps the level of passion and enthusiasm at an all time high in every single shoot!

Shaun always goes above and beyond to get the best images and even creates / builds sets and props for individual shoots.

His eye for a great shot and lighting skills are 2nd to non! He is a creative and photography genius.

I cannot praise this man and his talents enough and this is reflect by the shed loads of other shoots we have Brooke together!

This is the code that Shaun and I use when a shoot is going particularly FAN-F**KING-TASTIC! 😀 So this code, safe to say that it got uttered several dozen times throughout the course of our latest shoot... There had been a colossal degree of creative build-up since the last time we were able to work together (definitely our longest gap yet!) and this Keira was well and truly ready for some exquisite amazingness. 🤩

Shaun and I go way back: an endless number of shoots around multiple venues and locations, shooting trips to far out magical places, shouts of joy, energised adventures, artistic addiction, high-fives til' our hands went red... I truly have an endless number of great memories! When Shaun set up (and pimped-out in the most Elegantly Erotic fashion! 😆) his own personal studio; this I knew was going to be a hugely innovative turning point in his photography. Sure enough: every time I come back to shoot he has engineered some brand new state-of-the-art setup which enables him to either compose/light/or the model to pose extravagantly - or even all of those things at the same time! He applies his technical willingness to experiment with an artistic eye in the most diverse ways, and as a model who has seen Shaun adapt in ways that just make you think: "how the heck did he do that?!" I can confirm from the bottom of my heart that he is one of the most inspired people you could work with. Shaun KNOWS light, he KNOWS angles and he KNOWS how to set the foundations to let the model give their magic two. He works not only from the perspective of the photographer trying to give their best work, but also for the model being able to go for it... And I think that is such an important thing as shooting is the coming together of individuals with a shared adoration for making epic images - why should we not be working out of each other's brains and seeing it from each others creative approach? When you reach that point you have the making of a phenomenal rapport ladies and gents!!!! 😁

The shoot this time begun with some "classic Shaun" crisp art nude lighting; mixed up with and made SUPER sassy by chucking in a bundle of super cute garments that ticked the ER box! 😉 Sculpted, powerful, defined... DELICIOUS! The shots were coming in by the dozen and they simply looked sensational. Of course I know when this is really the case when Shaun screams out [Hell YASS!] or [insert other VERY happy photographer sounds]. 😝 This is of course when the buzz gets real and the energy fizzes up proper - the flow has begun and you're now bouncing off each other with the most electric vibes to smash those killah images! The next look should take us to the Wild West... 👀🔥 Clint Eastwood now needs to step aside because there was a new badass in town! Admittedly made all that more supreme by clever prop and accessory additions provided by the man himself. This is the thing - Shaun even gets to grips with the styling and owns the finest collection of goodies for models to descend upon when an idea flourishes. The outlaw blew it away with these fabulous touches. 😎 Alas it didn't stop there! Bodyscapes and crystal wear did I hear you say?! Gosh it feels like time since we shot some perfect bodysacpe material - still as technically perfect as ever though! This is an intricate style with the lighting being sensitive to mere millimetre shifts in position of the pose or the modifiers... Like that was about to phase Shaun though! 😅 Another quality set hits the bag, finished off with a spraying of water which marked the start of things getting messy! CLAY!!!! CLAY ALL AROUND, CLAY IN MY HAIR, CLAY ON MY FACE... It was EVERYWHERE! 😁 A shoot that, let's face it - requires exceptional setting up, facilities specialised for adding the clay (and disposing of later) and of course - great lighting with no corners cut for all the other effort. You can't skimp on it, if you're gonna do it do it RIGHT!!! And that is how Shaun rolls. 👌 My gosh the images... But don't take my word for it, simply have a look for yourselves with plenty of magical shots uploaded already!

On top of all the photographic compliments I could continue to give - Shaun is a gentleman and a respectable artist of the highest order. He is straight-talking, down to earth, honest and exceedingly professional in his approach. He takes steps to make the models he shoots with comfortable - one of those things being that there is the option to stay over at his studio to assist with models who are travelling and want to avoid being too tired. He will feed and provide refreshments for models shooting considerable durations to ensure energy is always replenished. 🙂 His manners and character are fun and high-spirited (as I believe I covered in my earlier paragraph) but he's also courteous with super etiquette operating with the belief that a happy model is as important as a model at work. I most certainly recommend him, as I have done following each of our shoots! The next time we get to catch up is truly something that I will look forward to in masses!

Second shoot with the incredible Shaun! I was so happy to be able to shoot with Shaun again and had high expectations from our first epic shoot. He did not disappoint!

Shaun's communications were as exquisite as ever. We had a clear plan going into the shoot, which involved shooting aerial over water at his pool. Shaun was so easy to work with on all accounts. He had great creative input but also let me do my thing. Shaun really appreciates the hard work, skill and energy it takes to do aerial work, so he was always patient with me and encouraging me to take breaks whenever I needed. We were always checking in on the back of the camera and, as you can see, the results are mind blowing!

There are few people as skilled as Shaun in what he does. I've never seen a photographer spend so little time adjusting their set up; he had to move and then readjust the lights multiple times to allow for changing the aerial apparatus. In 2 hours he must have had to redo the side lights about 4 times and it literally took no time at all. Aside from this, Shaun is really just such a genuine person and lovely to work with.

Awesome shoot, insanely talented and experienced photographer. Happy happy model! Cannot wait to shoot with Shaun again :)!
