Very fortunate to have a second shoot with the King of Light. I cannot express how brilliant Carl's work is. He has everything, excellent pre-shoot communication, massive, super equipped studio, constant innovative ideas, complete mastery of light but all this is dwarfed by his encouraging and supportive manner and approach. But the most amazing thing about working with Carl is the perfection of the results. Absolute pleasure to work with him. Infinitely recommended!

What a lucky lady I am???!!! I had my 5th brilliant shoot with Carl at his gorgeous studio with David51. The shoot was planned for 8 hours but when we decided to finish the shoot it was already just over 9.5 hours. We were totally in Carl's magical world!!! Carl's creativity, talent, passion and enthusiasm never end and his high level of satisfaction for lighting results not good images but perfect images. He is also kind to models and keeps encouraging us by saying compliments. He is very good at finding models' strengths and weaknesses so I am always comfortable in front of the camera and appreciate and thankful his talent making me look beautiful in his images. He is such a considerate and thoughtful gentleman as well as a genius photographer.

We are already planned another 2 shoots and I cannot wait for them.

Highly highly highly recommended!!!!!

Just had an excellent morning with Carl attending his 1:1 masterclass. A very informative and laid back session with all the help and guidance you could wish for. I was keen to learn more about low key monochrome and shooting the nude and the master class did not disappoint. Carl is passionate about his work and prepared to share his knowledge in a relaxed and practical way. The studio at Carl’s is second to none for both photographer and model alike. I have to admit I was so nervous about working with Carl. I knew what a fantastic photographer he is and being new I was terrified I wouldn't be able to do his skills justice.

I arrived at his wonderful studio and was instantly put at ease when I met him and discovered that he is so lovely, friendly and comfortable to be around.

He is also a total genius!

I have a tendency to natter quite a bit during shoots but I stopped when I realised how hard Carl was working and concentrating to get the perfect shot.

And wow did he get some amazing images.

I'm actually speechless!!!!!

Wow! Right where to start. Carl is the loveliest sweetest kindest person ever! He is so so welcoming incredibly polite and is just a top top photographer. It's all good when you come away from a shoot with a smile but I came away with happiness joy and smiles I was blown away by his skill and talent when it came to photography. His images are bloody amazin but you have to be there to experience the thrill from it. Carl has set ideas was always open to new ideas, we experimented a lot and shot things I have never done before and it was something very fun something totally new and crazy and I bloody loved it!

I can't recommend Carl enough tbh there also aren't enough words to describe how happy I am with today's shoot, Carla attitude, and the images.

Nonetheless his pre comms were bloody terrific! Every time I had replies within minutes!!

Had a fantastic second shoot with carl!

Carl picked me up from home, and when we got to his studio I am still mesmerised by his outstanding studio! We got to work straight away, started with silk rope, then we worked through many sets, as ever carl worked so hard to ensure we got the perfect picture! I absolutely love working with carl and he makes sure I am happy and comfortable at all

Times.

Carl's magic, Carl's talent, Carl's passion and his warm personality were there in his studio as always.

This was my fourth shoot, but very first solo shoot with Carl. The shoot with photographers I admire and respect dramatically makes me excited but also nervous before the shoot feeling I am not good enough to be shot.....but from the moment I arrived at Carl's studio and was welcomed by him, my worry was totally disappeared and his continuous compliments and enthusiasm encouraged me and I wondered off into his magical world. There are professionalism, passion, enthusiasm, art and fun in his magical world.

We did a rain shoot that I had been dreaming of which took long time to prepare and I assume it took long time to tidy up after I left the studio. Carl does not regret making an effort to create a brilliant image (not just a good image). I really appreciate his effort and time from the bottom my heart and the more I work with Carl, the more I respect him as a photographer and a person.

I had a fantastically creative shoot with Carl at his amazing and uniquely equip studio. The shoot was one of my first on my UK/Europe tour and was a great introduction to the artistic talent in England!

At the start of the shoot Carl took the time to discuss his ideas for the session, what he wanted to achieve and ensure I was completely comfortable with everything. He had a lot of ideas that we worked through but also took the time to ask me what I would be most interested in shooting. As a result we were able to work efficiently and methodically through a range of looks and concepts and produce some really beautiful images that we can both be proud of!

I have admired Carl's work for a long time and was very excited when we managed to arrange a date to shoot together! His pre-comms were excellent, we shared ideas and I knew exactly what to expect during the two days.

From the moment we got into the studio I felt not only relaxed around Carl but massively inspired! His passion for photography is contagious and he made me feel wonderful in front of the camera. It wasn't long before I saw just how incredible the results were on the back of the camera and together we worked hard to refine the images and create some amazing results (even if I do say so myself!). We shot together for two full days (my body hated my afterwards) but we covered a whole range of styles including: art nude, ariel silks, fetish, dance, wet-work (mermaid fun) and a late night flour shoot (to name a few). Carl is an expert at lighting and knows just how to work each and every style and really make the most of my body with his lights.

I had the most wonderful time and would highly recommend Carl to any other models and cannot wait to work with him again!

I had a shoot with Carl and we tried different concepts than my per usual. We tried some quirky image concepts as well as used his lovely studio. I really enjoyed learning from him and showing him what postures I had to bring to the table too. The day was quite relaxed thus, I feel the shoot images won't let us down. We flicked through some of the images sets throughout and I was happy with what I have seen so far and I am really looking forward to seeing the results. Carl was on time, responsive, hospital making the teas and letting me make them too so I feel more at home. He is very experienced, professional, gentleman and has a great eye for fine art.

I cannot express well enough using any words how lucky I am. I had my third shoot with this magical genius photographer this time with David51. I could not believe it was me when he showed the images on the screen of his camera and could not stop saying "beautiful"!!! His professional eyes find the best part of a model and create awesome art with his talent and knowledge.

His professional, enthusiastic shoot session felt much shorter than 8 hours. I cannot wait to be shot by him again.

Wow, I have just had a shoot with the master of lighting and the king of composition. Nothing I can say about the quality of Carl Grim's work would be as eloquent as admiring his portfolio. So I will confine myself to discussing other aspects of yesterday's brilliant shoot. Unsurprisingly pre- shoot communication was extensive and highly motivating. Carl and his lovely wife Rita welcomed Aya and I with great warmth and friendliness. Pre-shoot communication included a tour of Carl's massive, well equipped and novel studio. All this and Carl's super friendly manner resulted in me being very relaxed. Carl's total enthusiasm and spontaneous outbursts of pleasure reinforced the relaxed and highly enjoyable stmosphere and made the shoot really enjoyable. I would 1,000 % recommend Carl to all models.

Ghost Light Photography

I spent an immensely useful half day on a 1-2-1 lighting workshop run by Carl in his tremendous studio. Carl has a great enthusiasm for his photography and his willingness to share his experience has given me a new confidence with studio lighting and a much better understanding of some of the principles that underlie his tremendous body of work.

This was an informative and fun workshop with Carl and Natural Happy Girl who was our model, which has given me some valuable new insights which I look forward to further developing when I am next shooting in a studio.

Many thanks Carl and I would highly recommend these workshops to any photographer looking to develop their skills.

My second magical day with Carl and this time was a duo shoot with Emperor. In his massive, superbly equipped studio, Carl's talent, enthusiasm, passion, great personality makes every model into a great model, makes every body into a brilliant body. I cannot stop admiring his talent as a photographer, his art, him as a person. His considerate, professional, detailed direction is dramatically helpful and easy to follow, and also it lead me into further than my ability.

I cannot wait to work with him in 10 days time, to create more magical images.

I had an amazing shoot with Carl and the exotic Japanese Model Aya in which we shot at his studio. Fully equipped and the best studio I have ever shot in so very impressed! I would highly recommend Carl Grim as a photographer to any Model as there is so much scope in all he achieves.

Carl had specific ideas and mood boards for the day and he is amazing with his superb light techniques, very organized.

I had a great shoot with Carl a few weeks ago. We spent a full day shooting with Joel hicks and then half a day shooting 1-1. We shot erotic styles including bondage. Both shoots went really well I felt completely comfortable around him the whole time. The images were stunning. I love working with Carl and can't wait to work together again in the future. Highly recommended!

I had my first shoot with Carl a couple of weeks ago and can`t fault anything from that day.

He was pleasure to work with, very professional and a true gentleman.

Very friendly and easy to get along with and very knowledgeable about lighting techniques.

He made me a nice cup of coffee before we started to shoot and as the weather was fantastic that day, we started from his front garden and finished in the studio.

He also showed me each picture on the back of his camera and I think we have produced some amazing images together.

I would highly recommend him to any model.
