I’m still buzzing from an amazing group shoot with the one and only Retro Rob - with a tango theme - at F8 Studio.

We covered a range of tango/dance looks and not only did Rob create some incredible looks, he also came up with some brilliant ideas for the backdrop and lighting setups (expertly carried out by Paul the studio owner) - using his photography skills as well as his awesome modelling abilities.

Yet more praise for his awesome poses and ability to come up with new and authentic looks that he applies brilliant acting skills to to create a sense of narrative and storytelling.

More still for his superb hosting abilities and making all the photographers feel welcome and at ease - and of course making us all laugh!

Rob is one of a kind and a true professional with 100% commitment and dedication to what he does - and he does it so well. I’m very lucky to get the opportunity to duo with him and can’t wait for our next shoot - details coming soon!!

After the ‘Bat flu’ induced hiatus, this was the second shoot with Rob in as many months… This time working with his duo partner @melany.

Having worked with them both before I knew this was going to be good. They work so well together and ‘slip’ into character instantly.

Robs props and wardrobe are outstanding, and he uses them to great effect. Not only is he a fantastic model, but also a genuinely nice guy. Professional, friendly, hardworking and fun to work with.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again if you haven’t worked with Robbie, why not? It’s your loss, a unique model, providing the opportunity to get some unique shots…

This was my second shoot with Rob, this time at a tango themed group shoot with his duo partner Melanie. I knew this would be something special after the first shoot I had with Rob and I was right, he was confident, full of ideas, and when I did suggest something he immediately hit the pose perfectly.

It’s always a pleasure to work with top class models and this was no exception, a great day, lots of fun, and some great images to boot. I highly recommend Rob and we will work together again when the opportunity presents itself.

First time I have done a shoot with Rob. He made me feel comfortable straight away and chatted about the day. Rob was very easy to work with. He knows how to pose and had a selection of outfits. He was open to direction to the photographers and came up with ideas and props himself.

I would recommend working with Rob and cant wait to do so again.

OMG !!

Had my first shoot with Rob at f8 Studio run by Paul Davies. It was an absolutely amazing themed 1930/40 shoot.

It is clearly there had been and pre-planning gone into these shoots - giving me and other photographers the opportunity to create beautiful, varied, and amazing images. The images I came away with were magical and like no others.

Rob was superb throughout (as always) and fell into all the characters with ease - he is a natural and his character comes out in every lovely image. Rob totally gets into character with every single click, giving his all at all times also modelled to perfection.

He is wonderful to work with, always has so many clothing styles, and his enthusiasm results in ideas, inventiveness and energies being bounced between each other. Rob is wonderful to work with and every shoot is a precious shoot to be treasured.

He is a truly professional and give amazing session with truly amazing images

It’s been over 3 years (well pre covid) since I worked with Rob and Mel as a duo, and I got some wonderful images. So, when the opportunity to work with him on his own came up I jumped at it.

Not only is Rob a great model, he is also a true gentleman, a very warm and friendly human being and the owner of a fabulous top-notch authentic wardrobe, some superb and very high-quality props and a vast array of poses that fit the brief brilliantly.

I truly believe Rob’s style, his inimitability, his uniqueness and professionalism are without compare as a male model. It’s a pleasure to know and work with him.

I’ve just finished two very enjoyable days of shooting with Rob and once again we made an amazing duo team - creating new and original vintage looks at both our 1-1 shoot and our group shoot day event.

Rob is an absolute dream to work with and I enjoy every second. We always have such a laugh and he’s extremely easy to get on with. His energy, enthusiasm and hard working approach is unrivaled.

We modeled Fred & Ginger looks as well as The Greatest Showman - and as always Rob smashed the looks! His attention to detail is incredible - there isn’t another male model who puts so much time and effort into putting together and outfit and checking it’s looks authentic.

Rob cares so much about meeting the photographers expectations and he always exceeds them. I can’t wait for our next duo day - watch this space! 😊

My first shoot with Rob and Mel was on their 'Fred and Ginger' session at Rawpics Studio. My first impression is that they work superbly together; my second is of their absolute attention to detail in styling and the creation of the atmosphere of the genre they are re-creating. Frankly, as a photographer, as long as one can get the focus and exposure right, the great shots are there for the taking!

Had my first shoot with Rob for just about 5 months and it was an absolutely amazing themed duo shoot with Rob and Melany at Rawpics Studio. Their first duo for just over a year.

It was in fact 2 very different group shoots and clearly there had been very much thought and pre-planning gone into these shoots - both giving me and other photographers the opportunity to create beautiful, varied and amazing images. The images I came away with were magical and like no other.

It was a wonderful day producing an abundance of truly original and amazing images

Rob was superb throughout (as always) and fell into all the characters with ease - he is a natural and his character comes out in every lovely image. Rob did some solo shots too and of course, these were also modelled to perfection. Rob totally gets into character with every single click of the camera, giving his all at all times.

I love working with Rob and have shot with him many times and each and every shoot produces many, many varied and stunning images. He is wonderful to work with, always has so many clothing styles, and his enthusiasm results in ideas, inventiveness and energies being bounced between each other.

Rob is wonderful to work with and every shoot is a precious shoot to be treasured.

Working with the charming and amazingly talented Retro Rob for the second time in a month is recomendation in itself.

This time a superb duo with his partner in crime, Melany, in super form to add to the sets that were simply stunning.

Super set up at Rawpics with sets to allow your imagination full flow.

Rob is just amazing on his own but the chemistry this duo produce is a delight for photographers to capture.

Another fantastic shoot with Rob. This time with is partner in modelling Melany in A Fred and Ginger and Greatest Showman Themed shoot at Rawpics Studio. Rob is so great to work with and alway works perfectly with Melany. A large collection of outfits to suit a joy and pleasure to work with.

This was my third shoot with Rob as a duo with Melany, this time at the RawPics studio. Rob is full of energy and came with a beautiful range of outfits enabling us to work across several different sets. I was experimenting with some new creative lenses and Rob was very patient with me when trying to get the camera settings correct. We were working with some fabric and capturing a number of dance poses, the interactions between Rob and Mel were absolutely brilliant enabling us to create pictures full of emotion and storytelling. Rob has great (retro) looks and is super fit giving the pictures loads of energy. It was great fun working with Rob again and the time flew by. I look forward to future shoots. I recommend Rob most highly to all photographers.

Yet another Highly successful duo shoot at the studio with Rob

Between the three of us we had organised a Duo shoot day, with the very talented Melany.

The theme of the day was to be a Fred & Ginger Style shoot in the morning and a Greatest Showman theme in the afternoon.

Rob does have to travel a great distance to be here at the the studio, but always arrives full of enthusiasm and infectious smiles. He has an amazing amount of outfits and props, that he manages to bring with him and once he gets into the set he changes everything up to an amazingly professional pose and helps photographers get the most stunning images ever.

Rob has a great personality that, just puts the photographers at ease. He has a true talent in creating the right pose at the right time. He always amazes me on how creative he can be at moments notice, Striking the pose.

I always enjoy working with Rob and welcome him back to the studio anytime.

True master of the genre. Extremely versatile and talented model. A true gentleman and total professional. Too many outfits and props to mention and a storyteller look to suit every scenario. Well planned sets and very authentic.

If you get the chance to work with Rob grab with both hands you will not be disappointed. Hope he is back in the west country soon.

Rob is very professional, knows his business well and was happy to adopt my ideas, although most of the shoot had been planned between him and Paul Davies from the studio. There were many changes of clothing and set and all went brilliantly. Very happy to shoot with Rob again. Highly recommended.

This was my first shoot with Rob and having seen other peoples images I was expecting a lot, so no pressure on Rob then :)

Well I wasn't disappointed, moreover I had a very enjoyable shoot and was bowled over by his energy, professionalism and ability to just nail pose after pose, with minimal input from me. When I did suggest something it was instantly interpreted into the poses that followed.

I know Rob has hundreds of recommendations, and this is just another one to add to that score, so I can only say book a shoot with this guy, you will not be disappointed.
