I have worked with John about 4 times now and my daughter has also had a shoot with him. I have nothing but good things to say about John. He is an absolutely brilliant photographer but also very down to earth, professional and respectful. We have always had a good laugh during shoots while still getting the job done and producing some great images. His attention to detail like position of hands or hair out of place etc is also very impressive and beneficial in a shoot.

I hadn't been in front of a camera in over a year and decided to get back into it but was a bit anxious and my confidence had dropped a bit, but John made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and brought my confidence right back out in no time. Unfortunately I also couldn't get childcare for this day and my daughter had to tag along with me , John is absolutely brilliant with her too and as a mum I appreciate that so much as I didn't feel she was in the way or annoying him at all.

The images John produces are of a very high standard , as is his communication before the shoot and the effort he puts in during the shoot. I can honestly say he is the best photographer I have worked with and I will always highly recommend him.

Thanks again John, I've got that confidence back and ready to dive back in!😊 I'm sure that won't be our last! Until next time x

I had another wonderful shoot with John last weekend in his new studio space. I have worked together with John before in a previous studio, where he had also hosted me on model days and was a great help with advertising them and for help on the day.

John is genuinely one of my favourite creatives to both work with and chat to. He is one of the best in Scotland in my opinion, and I truely do enjoy working with him. John is always respectful, fun, full of ideas and is so easy to collaborate with. His images speak for themself, and every model I know has a high opinion of both him and his work. I will always recommend John to models who are both experienced in need of a portfolios update, and to those who are new & need a bit of guidance. I run a model safety chat and John is always letting new models know of the group which is fantastic so we can all keep in touch of fellow creatives both good and bad.

John always has a high standard of work, and always helps model feel good in their skin. He is a true delight to work with and as I say, will always be recommended by me to others.

Had my first shoot with John and what a pleasure. I thought our shoot was scheduled 30 mins earlier than planned, although I was welcomed early to arrive at a fully equipped studio and well organised. John welcomed me with a coffee and croissants and good chat and laughs before the shoot.

He is very knowledgeable and gives direction well when he has a pose in mind he wants to capture. I received some of our shots the same night and already over the moon with our work.

Few days ago I had an amazing shoot with John for the first time at the studio in Falkirk. Pre communication was great, John is not just a professional photographer with an excellent taste and attention to every detail, but a really lovely person and true gentleman who will take maximum care to ensure that during the photoshoot model feels as comfortable as possible.

I wholeheartedly recommend him to absolutely ALL models. If you are new model and just want to practise your skills and gain some experience or if you are more experencied and want to extend your portfolio, while working with John you will have a chance to do it! He will not only help to instill in you the confidence that after a photoshoot with him you will feel 100% like a diva, but also help you with a posing and advise how would be best to stand in order to look great in the end, since he has so many years of experience in photography.

For me it was one of the best shootings I’ve ever had in my life, as I got a charge of positive emotions and wonderful vibe with a chance to work with such talented photographer.

Just received all the edited photos and I am really in love with them, as they came out so beautiful and definitely will extend my modelling portfolio!💫

Already looking forward to our next shoot with John!

Pre communication and communication during the shoot was great and understanding. John was friendly and insightful providing feedback and advice on posing as well as the industry as a whole.

Jogn knew how to use his equipment well and a variety of lighting was used which made for a lovely variety of shots.

A couple of early edits have been sent through quickly and the results are fantastic.

John is a lovely, friendly and clearly passionate photographer and I wouldn't think twice about recommending anyone to work with him.

I met and worked with John for the first time today and I have to say, it was probably the best shoot I've done so far since starting modelling 10 years ago. John is a lovely guy with a clear passion in photography. This certainly shows in his work. I've already got a few of the images back and they are just stunning.

Working with John was a great experience! He is considerate, kind, a great photographer& completely professional. A pleasure to deal with pre shoot communications & after. I have posing skills but it is always nice to be given a nudge and get some direction also to capture a great shot! I would work with John again he was happy to let me decide on my themes as I wanted to get creative and do something a little different for me. I'd recommend any model to work with him and have happily recommended him to other models especially new models as I know they would be 100% comfortable with him and get great 1st shots for their portfolio.

He was super quick and very generous with his edits. He's a great eye for detail and didn't disappoint. We got some fantastic images 😍

Before meeting John, I had already done two other photo shoots, I was not satisfied with the results and felt that he was not up to it. When I met John and made an shoot with him for my first professional shoot, I was surprised how much he was interested in me, what I like and what I don't like, how much he wanted to keep in touch with me before the shoot and help me with all the preparations. He replied to all my messages very quickly, I didn't have to worry about anything because he wrote me everything in detail. John is a very warm and professional man. He devotes himself to his work and you can feel that he does it out of passion. During the session I was not stressed at all, I had a lot of fun and the effects of the work are amazing. He keeps in touch with me all the time and supports me in my further development. I am very happy to have met him and I can't wait to see him again. I recommend John to everyone with a clear conscience

I have shot with John twice now. After our first shoot I thought I'd never get any better photos. Well, he's proved me wrong.

John is incredible to work with. He leaves the shoot theme and ideas completely up to the model. He left me in complete control over what I wanted the shoot to be like and helped me to achieve that effect during the shoot by directing me towards my goal. This was super helpful. I have really grown as a model because of John, helping me really pay attention to detail as I am posing. So I not only go home with incredible shots, but with new skills too.

Saturday 2023-01-21 - Palendromic Shoot - Studio Three Zero - Portraiture

My first meeting and shoot with Palendromic (reference supplied on her PurplePort site) and now my third visit at Studio Three Zero. John the owner had organised the event and is always available to set up the studio lighting and assist in every way possible.

Disaster - I chose to travel light with only one camera body and suffered a camera malfunction. John saved the day by kindly allowing me the use of his camera body instead. The result an amazing result that quite honestly totally proud of.

The Studio is fully equipped and well run. John goes by the handle JR2 is an amazing photographer in his own right. I have nothing but praise for this my local studio, and fully recommend it to all photographers at every level.

I have loved every visit and the support given. John thank you - until the next visit.

John has for the full package. He's not only a wonderful photographer but also a respectful, fun, inspiring, thoughtful, trustworthy, and helpful one.

I loved our shoot from start to finish. John has got a great eye for detail and he helped me build up confidence at the start of my career. He made me feel extremely comfortable and creative. I've only seen a couple of photos from the shoot so far and they are amazing, but I don't even care about them as much as I do about the fun time I had when John was shooting them.

John's communication is excellent, he advised me exactly where to meet him and he picked me up to drive to the studio, he even asked which sandwich I wanted for lunch and provided it.

I would 100% recommend John.

I did my first shoot with John and he was absolutely amazing. Couldn't fault him. Since I have been doing this for just under a year he gave some great advice for any future photoshoots that would be coming up and what to watch out for.
