Would I recommend JR2?

Without a shadow of a doubt.

John is an extremely talented creative and the most respectful man I know in this industry. He is full of life, personality, creativity and just all round amazing to work with. He always has ideas and is always open to take on a model's ideas too. I booked him for a portfolio update at his and in-house MUA Hells Belle studio in Falkirk, Studio Three Zero, and it is one of the best things I have done for myself all year.

John's ability to capture what I was after was perfect and the results were outstanding. So good, the three of us got an FPI together!

There was excellent communication pre-shoot and when I gave my ideas to John, he added a little extra to them to create work I was so proud of. He helped me show my skills as a model and I am very grateful for his efforts.

I will recommend him to those wanting to do studio days and to those wanting to book him, as I did, as his work will massively benefit your portfolio.

Had my second shoot was John but at the new studio and as expected, it was amazing!

Pre shoot communication was great and the studio is stunning - studio room and boudoir room. The shoot was a lot of fun and from what I’ve seen so far it definitely was a success.

I would definitely recommend John and Studio Three Zero to all models and photographers ♥

Was nervous at first as had been a while since I had a shoot and a studio one but the minute I got through the door I was able to unwind with a coffee and John was so very chilled and was so nice chatty and welcoming along with the girls at studio three zero

I had worked with John before at an out door shoot and loved the couple images he took of me and I had learned a good few tips that day he told me and that made me want to learn more from John and definitely work with him again so I jumped at the chance to get booked in and do a studio shoot he is great guy fun friendly and makes u feel so relaxed and talks you through the shoot I had an amazing time and just what I needed I’m still so happy and loved the whole experience and so in love with my images totally highly recommend John

I also had kate do my make up and Kia direct me on my positions and looks the whole experience was amazing can’t wait to work with John and team again they had me smile so much :-) I be back again for some more great shots and thanks again John and team x

I am new to modelling and booked my first photoshoot session at #StudioThreeZero with John..

This was also my first experience with a make up artist and all I can say is I am absolutely delighted with my final images from photographer John Rae and MUa Kate Smith .

They’re a helpful team and provides me with lots of tips and guidance in their brilliant studio. Before the shoot, I was very stressed, but thanks to their help and the nice atmosphere, I relaxed very quickly .

I'm really grateful they gave me so much confidence in myself and would strongly recommend them.

I will definitely come back again. Thanks for your patience, help and beautiful work ❤️❤️❤️

I worked with John yesterday for second time and I totally enjoyed every minute of it. He had me over in his new studio ThreeZero, which is really well located between Edinburgh and Glasgow with very easy access and plenty of parking space. The place has everything a model could possibly need. John as always was a delight to work with, he is a phenomenal photographer and a lovely person and he will always make sure you get amazing images. If you are looking for a reliable professional John is the photographer you need, 100% recommended!

So glad John was at the necropolis event as he is a photographer Iv always wanted to work with and was very privileged to have few shots taken by John . Had the absolute pleasure of working with John again, this time outwith his studio and at a group event.

All group events come with problems eg too many people in the same place, people coming in to steal setups and shots sometimes whilst distracting the tog from the model - but this did not deter him from capturing some phenomenal and evocative images of my specific look from this shoot. John has a very good demand of lighting and his post production is always mind blowing. He was as ever guiding gently any time my posing was slightly lacklustre from being tired of holding up a pair of isis wings for so many shots. John is great to work with as he is not only supportive, but a great laugh along the way. The best thing is he's serious about what he does, when it matters most and that shone through in the images from that day. Love that we got to do something different, and hope to shoot again in the coming months.

Would highly recommend this photographer to anyone of any level and his high quality studio (Studio Three Zero) should you get the chance to visit, is where he excels.

What an amazing shoot I had with John! From the get go I was made to feel so welcome, John is such a great guy to chat to and is so down to earth I was put at ease straight away.

The shoot itself was lots of fun. John knows exactly how to direct, help with poses, softening my hands, face expressions the lot! A true professional!

Kate Smith's make up and hair just made the pictures look even more amazing highly recommend this talented lady also!

I am over the moon with my pictures and John made sure I was happy with my edits. My confidence has certainly been boosted and John is a great encourager and confidence booster!

An absolute delight to work with, the planning pre shoot was top level professional, and communication on comfort level throughout my studio session at each part was taken into consideration. He never pushed me to do anything l didn't want to do, and was meticulous about getting the smallest of details down to a T. Ontop of that he always heeded my feed back and treated me like an equal throughout the shoot. We worked together with posing, styling, what sort of theme we were trying to portray. I couldn't be happier with my experience and would urge anyone who gets the chance to book a shoot with him. The quality of the images speaks volumes of the comfort and confidence I had that day, and is testament to how good he was even with me taking time to come out of my rusty modelling shell. I've worked with John on a number of occasions for various styles of shooting, all of which has been achieved with amazing results.

Pre-comms are very well carried out, with full mutual understanding of what the shoot will entail and what is wished to be achieved.

On the day of shooting, John always ensures that there is full respect and professionalism towards all parties involved in the shoot. John directs very well but also listens to the models requests and ideas for specific shots.

Final images are always edited and produced to such a high degree.

Overall, John is such a respectable and professional person to work with. There is always a comfortable environment when working with John.

I highly recommend for any new or experienced models to work with JR2.

Had the absolute pleasure to work with John today in my studio on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Pre comms with John were excellent and we both discussed ideas that we were both happy with. John arrived on time and from the start I felt at ease and comfortable with him. He knew in his head what poses and images he wanted and we both nailed the shots. We had a few laughs and the time flew by.
